is it possible to re-program already installed, in the tire Autel TPMS sensor, from outside of the tire using TS401 ? or does it have to be outside of the tire to be re-programmed?
I must have received a defective device from amazon because it does not recognize ANY of the brand new sensors that i've bought for my audi q7. I've also tried it on my 911 and S4 with the same exact results. It recognizes the keyfob and the MHz, but other than that NOTHING!
laine wilkins put the car into learn mode the activate the tires in the specific sequence. It varies by manufactor. This tool will tell you the procedure though.
@@kdautomotive1165 how am I suppose to know what's in it unless I watched it? All I can do is warn others not to waste their time. You want to make videos that people watch? Be direct, precise in explaining/describing and use correct English sentences/grammar!
Folks spend the extra on a different model. The 408 it's pretty much useless. This tool is like walking around with a tire gauge because it only gives you the ID code to the TPMS and the PSI.
This took does exactly what it says it will do. We also have a Bartec at the shop and the only difference between this and the bartec ia this cant write sensor IDs through the OBD2 port
Great info. Your video helped me a lot. Thanks.

Should be able to but I honestly haven't used it for their sensors

Hello everyone I bought Ts 408 TPMS and I don't no how to use magnet, what is magnet for? Thank you.
How to program the use TPMS sensor? Thanks
The magnet is to wake up the sensors on some older systems. I personally have never had to use it
@@kdautomotive1165 can you use the 408 to relearn or program sensors other than Autel sensors?
@@ladywizard4299 relearn yes. Program no
The magnet is for outdated
TPMS, like indirect TPMS.
It may never be used.
How do I know if the new aftermarket tpms sensor is blank?
Read the sensor with the tool
how use magnet
He doesn't actually show you how to complete the relearn process.
After reading the id from the sensor in tire, can it program the same id into a new sensor (clone)?
Michael Xiong yes
Can you show a relearn after a tire rotation?
