Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - Xbox Elite Series 2 Review!!!
In this video, we unbox and review Microsoft's Xbox Elite Series 2 - Black Ops 6 Edition!
As a big fan of Call of Duty, and particularly Black Ops titles, I had to pick this up! The Elite 2 was the first Pro style controller that actually changed the way I played games, so it still holds a special place in my gaming memories.
Are we overdue for an update to the Elite line? I think so, but considering that the Elite Series 2 launched FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY (Nov 4th, 2019)...I'd say its held up pretty well!

GameSir G7 HE: Hall Effect Sticks, Mechanical Face Buttons, and 1000hz Polling Rate!
Were you gifted the controller from the company for review purposes?
Hows the battery life on this controller?
Do you know anything about this controllers global release date? it looks like it ticks all my boxes for what I want and im a bit leery about buying off of aliexpress. Have you tried it on a switch as well? my pro controllers starting to drift a bit.
I have the V3 T. E. & the right analog stick can be pulled up & pushed down a couple of centimeters. I don't know if that's a feature to make the right stick a bit taller, but the right stick doesn't catch drift nor anything negative happens... I want to know if this happens to anyone else who has the TE edition.
Hey, the face buttons feel so heavy, is it just me?
@@HallEffected I hate the face buttons, just prefer mechanical buttons so much more, but mine don’t feel substantially heavier than on my other membrane controllers. Or at least the ones I have on hand. Picked up a G7 SE and an Elite when I read your comment. They feel a bit stiffer than on the Elite, but about the same as on my G7 SE.
My old controller left stick started drifting and found you by researching controllers. Watched all your vids and decided on this one. Got it this morning and tested it with a bunch of games. I never been happier with a controller. Would love to see a premium version of this with a touch pad and rubberized grips. Anyways, ty for helping me out and saving me money. I was considering going with one of those $200 ones.
@@jayach5194 thanks so much for the feedback, the views, and the kind words! Really glad I can help some people out!
Hi! Thanks for your video. Do we have trigger vibration on this controller?
Apologies for the delayed response - unfortunately no, only grip vibration on the Cyclone 2.
I d love to buy a new pro remote for my xbox i want the best and comfortable remote witch should i buy
@@doldionnee4578 honestly, options are pretty limited for Xbox at the moment. I’m hoping the GameSir G7 Pro will be the new standard. Hoping it gets announced/released this month.
the stick resolution is surprisingly low but the actual input lag accoring to Gamepadla is very good , and having less than 100 points on the sticks will still be bellow the recommended minimum of 125 points. this is vry revealing and it's a flaw and shouldn't exist in my opinion , how did they allow such a very low resolution ?!!
@@monderkbaeli9411 yeah, I was very surprised, it explains why it feels so bad. I really don’t understand how/why the Pro and TE versions have different resolutions, either. It’s pretty disappointing.
@OldManRob13 that is why we need people to review the products
Is this more like DS4 or dualsense in shape and size?
this controller has the best dongle latency in gamepadla site but not verified
I cant seem to find the app on pc to program my buttons ?
www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NSXXH05PFRQ?ocid=pdpshare
any word on the polling rate button combo not working?
That controller looks good for rapid fire
How gyro?
Thank you for the review! Looking at Cyclone 2 price at Taobao (currently at 30$) it's no surprise it feels cheaper, because it is. Tarantula at the same time costs around 50. Personally, I really don't like Tarantula design and it reminds me of EasySMX products (not bad but they always felt cheap) and I had those transparent ABXY buttons cracked on a few controllers in the past, so now I'm trying to avoid them. If Cyclone 2 will go for 35$ on Ali sale, it will be a good purchase IMO.
why i cant conect to gamesir conect app?
@@samuelsepri6316 not sure, I’ve had no issues with it at all with the Cyclone 2. You do need to connect to it wired first, I think. But after that should connect wired or wireless.
Such a shame that the latency is so high even in dongle mode. I think it's one of the highest dongle latencies tested by Johnny
@@CaptnYestrday started to comment on your comment on the first video, but I see you found the follow-up! Thanks for the support! Yeah, I saw results were posted on GamePadLA. I don’t really play wireless ever, but I know a lot of people do, so very unfortunate.
Please do a follow-up video. Very interesting controller but the wireless modes high latency kills it. Great review by the way
I have both controllers use the TE more just because, It felt a lot Better after stick calibrations, BUT the resolution part if are correct is concerning.
Do I need to use a Windows 11 pc to continue using 1000hz mode or is for enabling it
So it’s not drift free its bs that Hall effect has zero drift
Its not bs if you want it to not drift you have to keep it 10+
Great review. Thanks for comparing both gamepads!
Thank you man. i just found out your channel and watch 2 videos the detail of reviews so good
@@TMRRWED Thank you!
I prefer rubber-membrane buttons. The mechanical buttons GameSir uses are cheap and sound tacky.
Between this and thr Tarantula pro what woild you pick?
I had the same thought hoping the TE was a better buy. Damn Razer
Holy shit no wonder the TE felt so bad to use compared to the TMR it doesn't actually affect gameplay but damn
wich tmr?
@stevensv4864 Tarantula
@@myteor5576 oh so im going to enjoy very good my cyclone 2 tmr when it arrive
Do you think it's worth it to buy the wired controller for cod or stick to my game sir g7 ? I am really waiting for the game sir g7 pro to drop so maybe I'll hold out for that. I am on Xbox and I really tried to like the thrust master but the build quality on those are quite poor.
@@ericcousinojr5222 man, as much as I love the physical feel of the V3, there’s no shot I would use this for CoD over the G7. Others may say differently, but the G7 absolutely feels more responsive/accurate to me. If you’ve waited this long, I would try to hold out for the G7 pro..will likely have wireless option at less than the cost of the wired V3.
@OldManRob13 fair , I kinda figured that . I appreciate the great reviews ! Keep it up !
@@ericcousinojr5222 Thank you!
Does the G7 have trigger stops ? If not then thats a no go. Trigger stops will help much better in cod than anything else
@ it does not. By default. But I add trigger stops to any controller I use for CoD lol.
They have got to stop putting only 2 buttons on the back of these controllers. A lot of people want 4.
cyclone 2 and vader 3 pro, which one do you think is best?
Compared to KK3 Max, which one better from your opinion?
Я вот недавно взял такой. Как раз техника у меня Huawei. На расстоянии до 100 метров работает.
I ordered x10, since it's Dpad and the face buttons are relatively better and feels more mechanical than x20. I hope it's really good.
@@stranger16luis71 I haven’t tried the X10. I went with the X20 just based on the extra features. Hope it works for you!
Does this controller have haptics for the triggers? Impulse triggers?
The triggers do have haptic feedback. I haven't tested much, as I don't typically use vibration/rumble etc. in the games I play, typically just turn it all off lol
Your stick analyzer result is higher than the tarantula pro which for me never goes above 1000 points for both program and analogue which indicates Gamesir is still applying filtering to even raw mode - Looks like the Cyclone 2 has less filtering which is good to see but still not a touch on on the over 2100 points of the same TMR sticks on the PB Tails Defender!
@@RobbieKhan I keep seeing people talking about the PB Tails Defender and Crush…am I missing something. Like I know they look cool, but no rear buttons, trigger locks, etc, right? Or do they have some features that I’m somehow not seeing?
@@OldManRob13 It's the TMR stick performance for one, no filtering/processing being applied, just pure calibration and raw square input out of the box with the option to disable deadzone. But more the fact that it is a metal topped controller that's limited edition so if anything it's a great collector's item. which now also does 1000Hz wireless. I use mine when I fancy asymmetrical layout. The back buttons for me are only mapped for L1 and R1 as in some controllers depending on grip style, L1 and R1 are harder to reach like on the Tarantula Pro and others I have, so mapping back button 1 and 2 to also be L1 and R1 means my index fingers can always stay on the triggers. On the Defender it's a non0issue thanks to how PB Tails designed the shoulder buttons, the shape and position makes them super easy to click even with index on triggers.
Holding off until the g7 pro. Hopefully it will have 4 back buttons. If not, I'll keep waiting.
Is it worth it to buy the g7 HE if i don't wanna use the paddles cause i play claw?
hey bro, my gamesir cyclone 2 just came and i have problem regarding the dongle. if i want to use my stick in dongle mode, it doesnt detect anything, and it will only work when i turned on "steam input controller", which is fine when i played my steam games, but this mean i cant play my non-steam game cause it doesn have the steam controller input. anyone have solution??
@@sommervillem1069 I haven’t had that issue at all. Have you updated the dongle through the Connect app?
@@OldManRob13 how can you do that?
@@sommervillem1069 if you have it connected via dongle and open the GameSir Connect app, it should update, but there’s also an update button in the top right corner of the app.
@@OldManRob13 i've just realised that my stick detected as switch pro controller when im using the dongle. did that also happen with your controller?
@@sommervillem1069 It did not. Sounds like the controller is in Bluetooth mode, and though they don’t say so I assume the dongle can receive either 2.4 wireless or Bluetooth connection. Press and hold home button + X for about 2 seconds, and home light should flash 3 times, and that should change it back to pc/xinput mode.
Just got my hands on the controller and it's by far the best from gamesir. The joysticks are incredible, if agmesir could get as good of a calibration as machenike because these get awfully close to a perfect 0 deadzone.
@@n64slayer I’m still hoping the G7 Pro is even better. Did you get the same one I did? Black version, no charger?
Where did you purchase from? Do you mind sharing a link
@OldManRob13 Yeah, I got the black without a charger it was $49 from aliexpress. I wasn't gonna pay another $20 for the stand from the only other vendor.
@@n64slayer Thanks so much! How long did it take to arrive?

Can you check the following for me? If you map A to a back button. And sets the turbo to A. Does the macro key also have A with Turbo? Or is it treated separately? In the T4 Cyclon, this was still coupled. Thanks.
@@rinosurber7919 Hm, I hadn’t thought to check that. I just tested it, and it’s not paired that way. So apparently you can’t set turbo to rear buttons, regardless of what they’re assigned to.
I already understand that you can't put a turbo on the macro keys. With the Cyclon pro, however, it was the case that when a key was mapped to the macro key, the behavior of the reference key was passed on 1:1 to the macro button. If the turbo function was set to the reference key, the macro key also took over. I find this a very unpleasant behavior, and therefore the question of whether the Cyclon 2 still does it that way?
@@rinosurber7919 gotcha, I understood what you weee asking, and again they are not paired that way. I tested per your request, and the cyclone 2 does not do that. If A is paired to a a rear button and you set turbo on the A button, turbo only functions if you press the A button, does not function if you press the rear button.
@@OldManRob13 thanks a lot. Maybe it makes sense for me to order the new cyclon 2. The cyclon pro was unusable for me because this insane connection between mapped buttons.
Can you compare Gamesir dpad with flydigi's? I'm choosing between Cyclone 2 and Vader 4 Pro, and the only thing I'm still unsure about about Cyclone is its dpad. Absolutely everything else in my scenarios are better on gamesir.
@@Romchec I’ve been trying to decide whether to do a video about this, but basically due to prior comments on this video and a couple others, I reinstalled Launchbox and have been playing MvC2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 a bunch this week, testing all controllers. The Cyclone D-pad is solid, as are some other things about the controller that have made it literally my favorite gamepad for fighting games. Didn’t know this when I did my review, but will be testing all controllers moving forward.
@@OldManRob13 really cyclone 2 dpad is good for fight games? also rob i forgot ask, audio jack work with 500hz or 1000hz?
the only one bad thing about this controller imo is the d-pad it feels weird and for fighting games u may miss a lot of inputs.
Between x10 and x20, which one should we choose, in your opinion?
I have both and here is my personal opinion: if you want the controller mainly for fighting games go for X10 the d-pad is way better than the X20, if you dont really care about the d-pad and use joystick instead go for X20. both controllers are very good
@@MMH94MMH Hey man thanks for the suggestion. One thing, I mainly play online multiplayer games, mainly Rocket League. So, basically, the analogue sticks needs to be smooth and the ABXY buttons needs to be pressed quickly. So, with this info in hand, since you have both, which one is better in your opinion? (I don't care much about the dpad cause I don't play fighting games) I am asking cause some previous hall effect controllers had buttons that had to push down longer for it to register, therefore games where you had to press buttons quickly, it was difficult to do so. Also, someone had said that his x20 analogue sticks had bad snapbacks. Did you face such issues? Your input will be greatly appreciated.
@@stranger16luis71 The sticks on both are great, but if you don't really care about the D-pad, go for the X20-it's cheaper, has 4 macro buttons instead of 2, and lets you adjust the triggers and RGB lights. For your information, the joysticks on the X20 are detachable, but that doesn't mean they'll fall off. I haven't had any issues with them.

I discovered your channel as I was researching controllers. If you didn't know the PS5 controller can go to 8000HZ and has the lowest input latency on the market at the moment. The higher the polling rate the lower the input latency you should be able to achieve. Unfortunately these third party controllers are not putting good enough hardware and most of these third party controllers are not actually taking advantage of their polling rate. This video explains it all very well; and funnily enough a overclocked PS4 controller has the second lowest input latency according to the tests that have been done so far. ruclips.net/video/rsXMqxw6aKo/видео.htmlsi=yerEyWJ9wMmwRG8B
Hey man, great video. Would you recommend the first Cyclone Pro? Or should i get a Flydigi Direwolf 2 or a 8BitDo ultimate 2C?
Thank you! Sadly, I don't own any of the 3 at the moment, so difficult to recommend one. A lot of people praise the Ultimate 2C. My favorite controller currently is still the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, but I haven't tested any of the Direwolf line.
