Nice job boys-I didn’t hear if you had the transmission rebuilt and recalibrated but you will need to if he drives it hard, put the front and back anti-roll bars off the Shelby Super Snake, the Steeda ‘Stop the hop kit, 315x35 back and 285x35 front Michelin Cup Sport 2’s, lift the rev limit by around 200rpm and a few other things and you will be almost there and look at the diff ratio and a second transmission cooler. If you are working on a manual transmission then the MT82 so that can be rebuilt so the gear changes are on the same plane so you don’t get locked out of gear. But you have done an excellent job just wondering which lowering springs you used and what sort of drop you achieved and an excellent idea would be to use the springs and coils off the Shelby Super Snake (Magnaride or not-just make sure the ride is not too harsh I guess because I have heard the B roads are not very good with their quality. Nice!! I’ve had an A4, an A3 S-Line and I just got my first MK7 GTI P/P bone stock from an old gentleman only owner and kept it serviced like nothing I’ve ever seen. Volkswagen put about $6k into it and I’m nervous to try and push any power into it with 94K on it. But, it’s been my favorite and most fun to drive of the 3 even stock. Anyone else nervous to do any performance upgrades on one with that many miles, even with the service records as thorough as they’ve been?

Rods were not designed for a tuned engine or in other words the tune was not good as it never considered the limits of the engine.. It’s not a piston guided rod issue at all

Ive seen these cars gain over 60hp with just a stage 1, how does a stage 2 not give more, i am new to this so am i missing something?

Do they have a baffle where to PCV goes on passenger side. Oil slings up and gets sucked into the intake . Stock plastic doesn’t have baffle. Catch fills up fast.

you can not get a reliable street driven 1000hp road car from a stock factory block and components. AND who needs this stupid numbers, Its the sort of things ONLY men talk about after a few drinks. Take the vehicle to a drag strip or any race track and and thats where numbers dont matter.

I have learned that the 5.2 blocks hold more power with the correct internals that the 5.0 as long as you us good hardware and line to line coating on the pistons it adds protection to the rings along with the skirts, haven't blown one up since I started getting my pistons coated

As this has an AMG 4.0 TT V8 these are HIGHLY capable machines! downpipes and a tune you're well over the 600bhp mark and in the US for around 70k they are tempting, upgrade the headunit with apple carplay and you've got something with great modern features, a lot of power and makes you feel like bond.
