Testing the ALGOLASER DIY KIT MK2 to it's limits
Algolaser sent me their Algolaser DIY KIT MK2 along with the Honeycomb table, and Air Assist Pump in exchange for making this unboxing and review video. I won't spend a lot of time on the assembly, but just show the process at high speed and get into the learning curve involved with using these laser engravers. It's an incredible machine and I was super impressed with its performance.

Saker Cordless Buffer Polisher Review
I searched for minutes for the update on your first video and that was the best 1 minute viewing of my life.
Ha ha. Glad you enjoyed! I hope to get another long form video addressing some questions and comments soon. Thanks for watching!
Can this use for cut wood too?
Yep! It cuts wood, but there's probably faster saws for that if it's all that you are cutting. Thanks for watching.
@ thank you for answer🙏
Not China really really really wow😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 they've made some other things too✌️
😂😂😂 Right?!? Thanks for watching commenting! Glad you got some laughs.
I have two questions on your good gabion build...why did you have to cut the long panels instead of bending them, which would require less hog ties clips. And you elected to cut them with angle grinder. Have you noticed any rust issues in the cut [heated] areas now that it is 2 years later? Nice work on your vid quality and humor, etc.
Thanks for watching and commenting Gusmanson. I appreciate the kind compliments. Ask for bending the panels versus using the hog ties and sewing them together with high tensile wire, it is nearly impossible to bend those with multiple #4 steel wires. I thought the same thing but could not find any way to do it without having a hydraulic bending brake. As for cutting them with the angle grinder, there is rust on the cut of course but absolutely no threat of anything rusting through. The wall is actually holding up pretty well. I hope to do a follow-up addressing a lot of these questions in the near future.
That’s not a rocket stove
Thanks for watching. I cannot confirm or deny this. The guy that made this and sent it to me called it a rocket stove so that's what I call it. If it's not called a rocket stove, then what is it? And what is a rocket stove?
It's a rocket stove. What are you talking about lmak
@@tomcook2040 Thanks for watching Tom. I can't find anything showing that it's not a rocket stove, so I continue to refer to it as such.
how about now? still good?
Thanks for watching Ardian. Yes, they're really beat up, but still going. The screws that keep your feet from slipping are pretty badly worn too. The raceface Chesters wear like that too though.
I do the same thing with couches. Also, your TV and microwave can be broke down to plastic, metal and glass that can go into your trash can or recycling bin. The PC Board I hide with the rest of my trash.
Yep! I do that as much as I can. Thanks for watching.
perfect - I'm gonna do this
Thanks for watching. I hope that it works as well for you!
Reminds me of the laser Val Kilmer built in Real Genius! Seems like this could be used as a business idea: engraving electrical switch plates, custom tiles for kitchen back splashes, etc.
Thanks for watching John. Yes, the possibilities are endless in the exciting and fun-filled world of laser engraving and cutting. !
niet duurzaam ,als te warm word gaat wel stuk
IDK mine seemed to hold up well. They don't last forever but worth the time that they save.
Were do i get this type of mixing handle?
Thanks for watching. Do you mean the one that stirs the composting material? I just borrowed this toilet a couple years ago from a friend who offered it to me before he used it to make this video.
😮
Yep! Thanks for watching!
I had this saw for 2 years now, and it works really good for a hobbyist. I'm building a Locost (Lotus 7 style car) and I have cut the whole frame with this saw. Now I'm modifying it to become a vertical band saw. Need to make the header for the car(icengineworks style with the lego parts). Removed it from it's mounting bracket, purchased 2 L framing brackets from HD, welded them together and some scrap 3/4" tubes between the two legs, to be able to hold the whole assembly in it's own vise. To hold it vertically, I have used a steel U channel with very short legs from HD. Removed two screws from the plastic cover at the blade side and another screw at the bottom middle. Welded these U channels to the mounting base. Got a 12"x12"x 1/8th plate from the Bay. Milled a slot(3/16th) for the blade and drilled and countersunk two holes to mount it to the saw.
Wow that's quite the project, both the car and the saw modifications! Is the Locost a car that you drive, or a model? Thank you for sharing.
@@themostlymikeshow I will drive it, when it will be done.
this is the most helpful video i found on how to do this i even looked at the gopowersports tutorial and this is even better then the official one edit. my gears dont align but if i add any more spacers on the left side the brakes hit the frame what do i do?
nice work Sir but I am glad that I not one of your neighbors and having to listen to your jackhammer after dark and all day.
Thanks for watching Anger. The Jackhammer didn't make as much noise as you would think. I usually worked on this only a few hours every day. I am friends with most of the neighbors and none of them had any problem with it. When it gets dark early in Pennsylvania during winter, the dark parts for probably 6 or 7:00 at night at the latest.
I physically cant find my key bit around 10:46 😭😭😭 its driving me crazy
Did you lose the shaft key itself? I wish that I knew the dimensions off hand. You can but metric or SAE key stock and cut it to size if you know the dimensions.
I has stripper that could take chrome off a trailer hitch.
Thanks for watching!
Trail Force ski lol
Thanks for watching Kim. Glad you got some laughs!
I purchased on amazon new bar and chainsaw as mentioned on your description. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit properly on the original Devault saw. Did you made any modification to chainsaw or bar? It possible to drill slightly bigger holes on the bar to make it fit, but chainsaw do not fit on the gear which move it. please share your experience, thank you.
Thanks for watching Pavel. I did not have to make any modifications to my saw or the bar to make it work on my Dewalt 20v Chainsaw. Are you sure that the numbers are the same? Others have mentioned using this with no issues.
That was not the same wood from the mattress burning at the end was it?
Thanks for watching. Yes, it was the same wood. I may have cut it up some more, but I filmed it all in one setting.
@themostlymikeshow awesome! I'm going to do it exactly the same way. Burning that wood is such a brilliant idea.
@goribhafizx it was nice and dry so it burnt really well and with very little smoke if you get all of the felt and plastic pieces off.
My daughters ordered me one as a Xmas gift haven't received yet but Iam sure I will enjoy it. Your Mom sounds like a sweetheart.Bless you both. t
Thanks Nancy for watching and the kind words. My mom still uses hers, maybe not as often as she did a few years ago, but it's a pretty good machine. I hope that yours serves you well! Take care.
I saw this on a black friday deal, and checked out your video to see if it's worth it. Buying through your link. Thanks! Liked & subbed!
Thanks for watching and all of the kind things you did. That helps me and this channel tremendously. I hope the saw treats you well.
Does yours leak?
Unfortunately, yes it does leak. I mentioned in another one of my videos how it has a Groove for an O-ring on the cap, but other people had mentioned that oil is coming from somewhere else and that you have to take the saw apart to fix that. I am a little disappointed in DeWalt for this, because the saw is really good in all other aspects . Thanks for watching Billy.
Make it twice as big.
Thanks for watching William!
ty Mike
Thanks for watching Maurice! Hope that it helped.
Ummmm, If it is an old throw away tire I just use a cordless sawzall and cut it off.
I suppose that would work. Never really thought about it, lol. Thanks for watching and the helpful tip!
MMA.........LOL!!!!!! I guess they only had room for 3 letters so had to make something up other than SMAW.
Did that spool of wire come like that???? LOL!!!!
@@wingnutbert9685 Welp, sort of. When I opened it, there's shrink wrap around everything, and paper bag like brown paper around the neatly spoiled wire, but as soon you take the wire out of the hole in the spool, it unwinds like a spring. When I do the follow up with the solid core spool using gas.. I will try to demonstrate this. Thanks for watching!
@@themostlymikeshow If it unspools, it can sometimes have a bad effect. The wire gets a twist when wound onto the spool and this has to be maintained for it to unspool off and feed through the machine properly. It sounds weird, but it's a real thing and I've had screw me a couple times. Just have to bite the bullet and cut off the unspooled wire to a point it's still tight. At least the off-cut is good for hanging in the paint room.
Can’t hear you over music
Sorry about that. I was putting too much confidence in a sound mixing app around the time that I made that video. I made a lot of changes in the more recent ones. Thanks for watching and mentioning that I like hearing feedback, good or bad.
Hello dear, I hope you are well. I visited your RUclips channe The Mostly Mike sHOW. Your content is excellent. But your channel isn't growing because your content title and description aren't optimized for SEO and don't have enough ranking tags. This is why no content reaches the top of RUclips. As a result, the SEO score of your video is very low. According to VidiQ, (The video SEO score of your channel is 0 / out of 100, which should be 80+). If you want I can increase it to 80+ which will help your channel grow faster. If you reference your videos correctly, the progress of the channel will bevery soon and subscribers and views will increase. If you want, I can troubleshoot and help you rank your videos better. If you are interested, let me know.
Amazing insight for someone who's only been on RUclips for less than a month..........
@@wingnutbert9685 yeah 🤔 kinda raises a bit of suspicion...
@@themostlymikeshow A bit more than a bit! LOL!
@@wingnutbert9685 If you optimize your channel's video SEO, your channel's video views will increase.
Is the engine risers necessary?
Thanks for watching Leonard. I honestly don't know if they are necessary. They came with the kit from Gopowersports, so I put them on per their instructions. It has been a while since I installed this on my Coleman bike, Trail Force One, but I kind of remember something about the plastic cover fitment might be affected if you don't use them. They're available by theirselves on Amazon, and take bolts roughly an inch longer than the factory motor mount bolts... They are 1" x1" square tubing about 5 or 6" long. I hope that this helps you a little. Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this.
Was all this with one wheel? Thank u
Thanks for watching. Yes that was one wheel. I actually stripped more with that wheel before it wore out.
Speaking of mower decks 😊, I need to get mine off soon for some repairing. I might finally be done with it for the year. BTW, this 19 minute video went quick!
Thanks for watching! I tried and tried to make this video shorter, but there was so much to cover that was pertinent to the details of the welder I had to make it lengthy. I hadn't even added the stick welding capabilities of this machine, but plan to make a follow up showing that as well as the solid core wire, and perhaps a part three showing the TIG functions of this machine. It's a really good bang for the buck at $150 for a machine with this potential.
Home Depot was just selling the saw for $89 dollars, tool only! Not sure if it’s still happening or not. If the price for it only says you have to put it in the cart to see the price, it’s probably still happening.
Wow that's a bargain! Thanks for watching Chad.
So question is this for just flux core welding or can this also do mig welding?
Thanks for watching. It includes mig wire and a gas hose... However, you need to purchase the gas, and regulators. The machine is set up to use it with the gas solenoid. I will have to make a follow up showing this. I wanted to demonstrate stick welding in here too, but 19 minutes was pushing it for one video.
@ oh ok then , awesome! Yeah I’d love to see how this does with mig welding and I’ll for sure buy one using your code once I watch that video, I’ve been terrribly in need of a small mig welder for the past few months and have been trying to do so much research on which one to get. You’ve got yourself a new subscriber!
@TGLPRODUCT1ONS yes, I'll be curious myself to see how it works with solid core. I might spring for the tig setup as well, although my tig skills are limited. Thanks for the sub!
@ oh , it can tig as well?! Wow! Could you try tigging aluminum in the video too? Because I’m also limited on my tigging skills too but if it does decent then I’m for sure buying this welder, where’d you get it online or Amazon?
Looks like you bent that rod you screw the nut on too. 😂 Good job, though.
Thanks for watching AJ. Yeah, it was quite the wrestling match, lol. Arguably the worst case scenario on tire size.. Extra wide, lots of plies, and smallest wheel diameter. Plus it was sweltering hot i in my garage. 😂
Fine bit of welding there Mike wish I knew how to weld . Think I could do it with this equipment it is the 2nd review I've seen looks like it will do the job !
Thanks for watching and the kind words! It's a pretty darn good machine for the money. Highly portable too!
I want to make this soo bad I just need a ski
Thanks for watching DZ man! I'd check snowmobile shops in your area. They are pretty common wear items. I have another one laying around in my shop. Maybe I should do a contest giveaway, lol.
Seems great for the cost!
Thanks. Yeah there is a lot to cover in this video and I didn't want to make it any longer by putting the test with the stick welder in. It did very well with the stick welder as well
It should sever up to 1 inch with 50 amps, but it will be slow and it won't be pretty and you will need to use around 75 psi or higher of air
Thanks for watching and the words of advice Otis. It actually seems to cut half inch better than the thin stuff. 3/4 wasn't pretty as you had said, but it still cut it, so there's no doubt that 1" could be cut with it... Or at least melted off.
That's an awful small gauge 240 volt cord. 10 gauge is only rated for 30 amps and that definitely is not a 6 gauge cord. 6 gauge is what you would want if you were welding with a standard 50 amp 240 volt circuit
Thanks for watching Otis. Yep, the cords definitely seem undersized, but they seem to work...somehow...
If a rocket stove is done correctly, it will not smoke.
Thanks for watching. I agree. I hindsight, I wish that I would have been more selective on the wood that I used. In this video, I used twigs from hedges and dropped limbs in my yard. I wish that I would have used oak, maple etc...hardwood. It wouldn't have smoked near as much.
It will only smoke until it reaches maximum heat, then there's no smoke
@ryantourney2879 Yes, that is true. I should have used different twigs and used oak or maple. This stuff came from hedges and tends to smoke even more. Thanks for watching!
Thanks For watching! If you want to see the stick welding demonstration with this machine, please let me know. Please consider clicking my Amazon Store links before making ANY Amazon purchases! It sure helps this channel. Thanks!
MGWGA 😅
Thanks for watching William! Glad you got some laughs!
The water doesn't seep through it?
Thanks for watching. Yes water seeps through it by Design. The old Banks went up on a slope and this wall has a liner against it backed with gravel. It gives the water a place to expand while directing it down stream so it doesn't flow over the banks onto my lawn and through my garage. I hope this helps.
I hope to get a video out soon showing some updates and the back filling and Landscaping involved
So it operates like a french drain?
@ddrigmaiden I guess that it does in a way. 90% of the time, it has just a trickle of water, but when it storms, it will fill to the top. I posted a short video showing it full.
Hilarious and helpful!
Thanks for watching and the kind words Nick! I'm glad you found it helpful and got some laughs from it.
This saw has been awesome for me. I mainly use it to break down boxes for the recycling bin. A task that used to be very mundane and tedious is now very swift and actually kinda fun.... while it cuts wood reasonably well, it absolutely chews through cardboard like a hot knife through butter.... well worth it.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience Mike. I'm glad that it is working out well for you!
Says page not found on the link,,
Thanks for watching Mike. I'll check with him and see if something changed.
Using this on a 4,000 SF home now, works great. I do wish they lasted longer, I have had to buy 3 of them, still worth the expense.
I agree 100%. They do wear out, but they save so much time, that I believe that they're worth the money.
Thanks for watching!
You bult more wall than the orange turd did the entire 4 years he had to do it. Did you make the water pay for it? Don't worry, he didn't make Mexico pay for his wall. When your neighbors want to build a wall are you going to stop them until you can figure out how to take credit for it? If so, that's okay too because the shit bag rapist wouldn't let anyone vote for James Lankeford's (R) bill to fund a border solution, allowing millions more to come in while he campaigned. You're a traitor.
