Is there a benefit of running just water vs water/coolant mix?

@ buddy of mine cammed his, said his o2 sensors started trippin out
@@TheMARman1 someone could have messed with the settings on the tune. Could also just of been an old sensor. Completely stock cars have o2s go bad.

@MR.LS3 still running just fine. I haven't had this tune on the dyno. If I'm going to push a car it'll be for a pass not a dyno number. But it's made 802whp SAE before on a less aggressive tune.

@MR.LS3 I've made well over that for years. But then others have had issues with less power. Tuning is a big part in it. Best engine in the world can fail from bad tuning.

What are your thoughts on this intake? Have you done anymore testing with it? I am building a 390ci, CID heads, custom grind cam, E85, and running a D1X Procharger max boost. I have the Trinity intake and have been trying to find any info that I can on it. Not much out there. The car is a street car first, race second. I do run it hard on the street also. Lol Thanks you!
Depends what it's being used for and what heads. For the ls3 you're going to lose a lot of low and mid range with it and it's going to need a lot of RPM to overcome the midrange loses. It has it's place and purpose but for 95% of people they'll most likely slow down.

@christopherclark6747 hydraulic roller, this was either the 402 or 416, I'd have to check the actual data I uploaded this video to be sure. I have no idea what cam this was since it was a while ago, but Nick at BTR did the cam. Give them a call if you need a cam.

How much power did it make?
574/556 6psi 624/589 10psi 669/611 12psi Dyno runs in 3rd because 6l80/2.73 rear gear. It's a pump gas deal, no other mods other than the turbo, stock cam, stock valve springs, even has the stock catback and mufflers. They're going to bring it back for flex fuel tuning, and we'll turn the boost up more and most likely do some valve springs on it.
E85 is going to make a massive difference. Running 15 PSI here, timing is 20-22 degrees. Pump gas I can only get around 10.5 degrees at torque peak, going up to maybe 15 degrees at max rpm. It makes a difference even at low rpm, you'll see. E85 with a boosted C6 GS is amazing.
@speedycpu oh absolutely but the owner didn't want to do flex fuel or straight e85 no idea why just said they didn't want to. I did a stock cam supercharged ls3 a few weeks ago that picked up around 60hp/50tq with 50% ethanol. Which is huge when that car came in making 580s on their old tune so over a 10% gain in power.

@TheDransMan I was mentioning boost, but if you have a high compression engine N/A, you can still get gains out of it. You could technically swap pistons/heads/etc to remain N/A and bump compression way up to take advantage of it that way, but with that much expense, might as well go turbo/supercharged.

@scottzito4797 that channel only works if you have the aem 30-0344 and it's connected and on. It works with any MPVI I've used everyone to connect to customer cars with this wideband.
@@andrewd843 Do you mean the AEM 30-0344? I can't find the 03-0344, other than people making transposition errors when referencing the 30-0344.

@@KellyA5150 the OBD2/CAN isn't going to work on something that old. You need to log it with the analog 5v output. Vehicles 08+ are CAN based system. Older than 08 usually aren't CAN systems.

Likely because the engine and turbo are so tiny and also probably isn’t pushing a ton of boost. Doesn’t get hot enough to need an intercooler. It’ll make the air cooled engine overheat a bit faster, but as long as you aren’t stuck in deep nyc traffic and refuse to lane split, I think you’ll be alright

I wouldn't pay more than $1600 dollars for one. Plus, it's a good idea to get an aftermarket oil pump just for good measure.

China c6z reps from oewheels on the back. M&H drag radial out back. Racestar front runner with m&h front runners.

@C6nroofing oh I know. My daily driver has a blower it was less work drives better is faster and oh was cheaper too. But not many people running 9s na with a base. Meanwhile my blower car with a stock cam was 4200lbs and ran 9s.
What rear end gears are you running on this setup?
stock 2.56 gear I've never changed it still what I run now running 9s NA

The number one reason lifters fail in LS, people over look the trays....that people love buying Chinese lifters. Anyone reading please only buy trays direct from btr or GM...stay off Amazon, knock off trays are floating around too. Great video Andrew
This 100% I see all the time guys say their btr parts failed then post they got them on ebay for half price. Then it's like well they're fake. Or when people buy real parts they don't measure pushrods or have other valvetrain issues that'll kill a $1,000 set a lifters too.
I have the prolink wired connection 30-0310 and i see the channels but when i add them they dont respond with any values when running a log. Do i have to adjust user defined maths or something?
@slick408 that doesn't have a the OBD2 port pass through like the 03-0334 does. It connects to the OBD2 but doesn't have the pass through to like with hpt like the 03-0334 does. I've never personally messed with the one you have. What do the instructions say for external data logging?

@@alihatem8640 I got it to work successfully on the 30-0310, after reading AEM's instructions I connected a 120 Ohm resistor to the 2 CAN wires. Those wires draw about .2 watts, so a resistor rated .25 watt or more should work. I used a 1/2 watt 120 Ohm resistor. I had previously used this exact setup without a resistor and have heard of other people not needing it. But when I reinstalled hptuners it didn't work without a resistor anymore, maybe I forgot something I did in the program, but this resistor method is better. Wire it up with the resistor and simply add the channel. External Inputs > AEM > X-Series UEGO (30-03xx) > WB EQ Ratio 1

@imr7mo764 something seems off but hard to say without seeing any data or the tune. I made 600s with a 2.45 on a stock ls3 (stock cam too) with 93 octane. Watch this video. Boost is only part of the equation the tuning really matters. ruclips.net/video/x1E3JxYcTy8/видео.html

Just started drag racing. I can’t seem to make a better hit than 1.87 60’. I’m M6 with GS gearing on a 345/30r19. Gonna be getting a 315/35r17 soon. Did you do anything to beef up your trans or diff? I’m afraid mine with exploded 😅
@RipThatVette what actual tire do you have and any mods? This one in the video is auto so the only thing I have done is a converter and differential brace. Stock transmission, stock rear end, stock axles, and stock suspension.
@@andrewd843New R888r out back. Track prep wasn’t amazing. I was at 18psi. I just ordered a diff brace as an added layer of protection. Not sure it will help a ton though

What are the specs/stall on this converter? I am going with the same setup of bolt on parts (VCM, headers, cats, tune) BUT, I want to do the zip kit and a converter before I get the exhaust components on.
@cptafw what is a zip kit? But this converter is one I had custom done for since we're supercharging this car in the future. I wouldn't use this converter on a bolt on car.
@@andrewd843 zip kit is the sonnax shift improvement kit. I installed a sonnax kit on my 4L60 with the Corvette 2-4 Servo on my YUKON 2WD and it made it drive like a matchbox car. I know the 6L80 is electric and not hydraulic and pressures can be tuned for performance, but it’s more about preventing valve body wear. So, would you recommend a converter for a bolt on or just a trans tune?
@cptafw you don't need a shift kit on a 6l80. That's what tuning does for them. I'm making 800+ whp on a stock 6l80 with 100k + miles without any issues. For which converter I'd recommend would depend on what you want to do with the car. Daily and just have some fun? Daily, but drag race it seriously? Road course?
@@andrewd843 daily/street with some roll races. Very few digs. This vid made it seem like the converter adds good drivability and power transmission through the drivetrain for a bolt on car. Over 20 years ago I had an IROC z28 M5 with a crate 350 I threw a monster cam, ported Trick Flow heads and a single plane intake. Blew the rear end on a no lift 1-2 shift on a steep hill while the tires were spinning. Since then I have only just thought about ACTUAL mods with every car I’ve owned. Yup I’m scared

How much did doing the cam cost you? Like with the cam and install. I have long tubes in my 16 and I am debating going cam next or just getting an lsa
@frankkaylor5466 this isn't my car. It's a friend's I did the cam and tuned it. My car is the white LSA SS on my youtube. Monday I can look to see how much everything was total for this car.
