Najee Harris has 255 touches last year compared to Warrens 149. Najee had 106 more touches than Warren but Warren finish the season with 4 fumbles compared to Najees 2. Warren fumbles the ball twice as much! Najee has never missed a start due to injury in three seasons along with racking up 1,000 rushing yards in those three seasons. Putting Warren at the #1 may be costly and we don't know how durable Warren is just yet. I'm with team Najee.

I don’t think this means the end for Najee in Pittsburgh. It’s just the value of the RB position now. Most RB don’t even get drafted in the first now to get a fifth year option. This is just a business decision. If they can work out a deal then I’m sure the team would love to keep him for another contract. It’s just the value is so low that these decisions should come as a surprise to nobody.

Please remember the Jerome Bettis phenomenon . Willie Parker became a star because of the Jerome threat. Parker had one good year without Jerome. We need a smash mouth running back that makes a slash type running back effective. This is no joke.
