Part of scouting is also knowing where other teams value players. If you know you have a huge talent, but nobody else sees him - you do this type of move. The guy (Bishop) ran a 4.39 at his Pro day.
You draft a guy you like before him, possibly, because you know other teams value him more, so you draft him before a player you “love.”
Why do you keep talking about Sutton. He is not even that good as Detroit found out. Beanie Bishop is a way better choice than Sutton. When he was a Steeler he was the vocal leader of our defense not tj not minkah cam Sutton plus Omar khan and tomlin met with him so there’s traction
Beanie is an undrafted free agent who has never played a snap in the NFL. He is not a better choice. In the long haul maybe he’s an undrafted gem but you can’t compare to Sutton who not that long ago played well for the Steelers in their system and earned a big contract (even if he didn’t live up to it). Sutton, at least on paper, makes our defense better today.

He is good. He just isn’t good enough to be a #1, which is what Detroit asked him to do. He’s more than capable of being a very good slot corner.

If Sutton can get past his legal issues, then NFL suspension. Then, Sutton is a CB3/Slot Corner. I’m high on Beanie Bishop as a slot corner. Ryan Watts is a Strong Safety. Watts is a TE shutdown DB, not guarding WRs.

Well that's a good thing then cause Sutton wasn't let go he played really well 2 years and got a bigger offer in FA from Detroit and the Steelers couldn't match the same offer. Unless you meant another player the Steelers let go. Since Cam doesn't fall under the category of who they should resign that you are going by.
