I made these cakes out of vegetables!
Просмотров 128Месяц назад
Following on from a video I saw about courgette cakes, I thought it'd be fun to give them a go, and also see if I could be even more adventurous with my vegetable choices! I recorded this several months ago, but thought it turned at a bit rubbish. Anyway, I haven't filmed anything else so I edited it, and here it is. One Year Of Budget Challenges: £1 For 1 Day & More!
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.Год назад
Over the past year I've done a few budget challenges, they've definitely gotten harder as I've gone along, largely due to the rapid rises in prices over that period of time! This video is a compilation of all of my budget challenges, because I've been told people like to watch long compilations of these kinds of things. So, please enjoy! #budgetchallenge
I tried making the kipferl (the early croissant)!
Просмотров 282Год назад
I've been reading about the croissant for a video I made on another RUclips channel (ruclips.net/video/sgVHh0bFTtY/видео.html&ab_channel=HarryWalbyoff). It turns out the the croissant is derived from an Austrian pastry called the kipferl, so I decided to try and make one! #croissant #kipferl #baking

The most beautiful place in Wales | Elan Valley
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.2 года назад
Recently, my friend Oliver and I took a trip to Mid-Wales and visited Devil's Bridge, Elan Valley, and Llandrindod Wells. We saw some fantastic sights, including 6 enormous dams that were made to provide water to Birmingham. For a few more clips, watch Oliver's video: ruclips.net/video/EWV73eNz8ME/видео.html&ab_channel=OliverPraito I hope people enjoy this, it's something a bit different to the...

I'm doing another limited budget challenge, this time for 2 people and it's vegetarian AND dairy free. Day 1 is here: ruclips.net/video/g2kPz5TL2Vk/видео.html I'm also really sorry to say I threw the receipt out before I remembered to put the breakdown in the video but here's what I think everything cost from memory (the total was £3.99 and there's a quick shot of the receipt in day 1): Rice: 4...

PIZZA SPEED CHALLENGE: 1 hour from scratch?
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.2 года назад
Can I make a pizza from scratch in less than one hour? Probably...but what goes wrong? Recipe (I made one pizza, but this could be two): 200g Flour 125g Water 1 Teaspoon Salt 3.5g Instant Yeast 1 Teaspoon Sugar Splash of Olive Oil This recipe is very rough and ready. In reality I would probably half the yeast and use about 140g of water. I'd also probably make two smaller, thinner pizzas out of...

This was great I thought you had gone away Harry I haven’t had any notices until today I was just scrolling threw and there you were I loved your pastry it looked so flakey but all in all you get a 9 /10 from me you have definitely come along way since your first random cooks happy days I look forward to many more hopefully.x
Everything looked great. The pastie just needed a special ingredient: spaghetti hoops 😊
yay ive missed your videos glad your back, hope your doing well :)
Thank you for watching again! I'm good :) hope you are too
I would like to watch it with Real items. You know, things people have in fridge freezer and pantry but don't know what to do with them/ make them taste good without the usual high priced protein that usually goes with it. Like store bought lasagna leafs or canneloni rolls without ground beef for the sauces, nor cheese, nor tomato sauces; corn in a tin; peas in a tin; fish head and Bones, tinned sausages; eggs but no onions , mushrooms, cheese, carrots no cream; rice but no beans, etc. Just pasta, Rice some canned food some Frozen veggies, chicken bits ( legs or breasts), butter, milk, bread, sugar, salt, some sort of non dairy fat like cooking oil or Olive oil and vinegar. Been there só often it was my normal. Sometimes I still get there. As prices rise making it harder to buy food without neglecting other also price rising responsabilities, I tend to stay there more then 1 or 2 days. A creative tasty solution would be welcomed.
I think this could be really interesting. Usually, I create these artificial restrictions for the sake of the challenge, not as a guide. We often find ourselves in the situation when it's a random Tuesday and we haven't been able to get any fresh food in for a while, so I have to think creatively about what I'm going to make, I could definitely make a video about that one day (perhaps after Christmas, or it's just going to be cheese everyday!).
Yay, we missed you! Welcome back :)
Thank you!
Got to say you made them beans stretch
From someone who lives of pents i love videos like this if they stopped selling veg loose it would destroy me
I think you were harsh on yourself with the scoring! Eating the sweets standing in the kitchen definitely counts 😂
Haha, maybe, that pasty was very boring though! Yeah, perhaps it should have counted...
I have that same wee oven dish! Love
❤❤❤
Your very calming thank you x
Welcome back Harry😁😁😁😁!!!!!
Thank you!!
Amazing thank you your so cool well done x
❤
nice ideas but not really realistic as there would be very few occasions when people could actually source food at those prices.
Your so cool x
I have just found you and I must say after watching atomic shrimp for over three years I’m excited thank you x
Thank you for watching!!
Your videos have the exact same calming and cosy vibe as atomic shrimp😊 If he ever retires from RUclips, please step fully into his shoes!😂
If I’m honest I probably rip him off quite a lot here😂 but this channel just came about because I like his videos and wanted to give some of them a go myself - thank you very much!!!
Had almost given up all hope ... 😊Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching!
I was just wondering where you'd gone...
Haha, thanks for watching! I recorded this ages ago and never uploaded it🤦♂️
He’s back !!
You’re back!
I think having reduced items should be allowed because if you had no choice and have to live on £2 for a day it would be something you would use. The odds of someone that isn't homeless having to live on only £2 and not being able to buy food in advance (which heavily reduces the cost of individual items) are fairly low but if you HAD to live like this reductions are your best friend. I say this coming from a household that has to budget every meal we have. I know it's not the point of the experiment but it wouldn't be unfair or wrong consider the eating experience of people that don't have enough it almost seems like it's something people should do to build some empathy.
Your videos have such a relaxing vibe 😌 ✨️ plz make more videos if u can 😅
You are very watchable without hearing on anyone, and do interesting vids. Love limited budget videos anyway, good to compare different people’s approaches. Would shopping in Aldi’s or Lidl’s given you more for your money?
That lunch was given me heartburn just looking at it.
I was looking for something like Shrimp's videos and I found on inspired by Shrimp's videos. Glorious! Thank you for sharing this adventure!
The Elan Valley is indeed spectacular especially when the water is pouring over the dam, but it certainly isn't the most beautiful part of Wales
Being right handed you’ve got the camera the wrong side of you.
While chopping. Sorry
Strange the sardine pasta dish looked wonderful. In Italy there is pasta con sarde, lots of chefs published videos, it is a normal stable (not only when you are on a budget, or during covid times) to have a nice meal. In Southeast Asia, the Caribbean or Southern Europe people prepare it no matter if it is canned sauce sardines or add your own sauce plus sardines in oil/its own juice. Looks like meat (kind of a cheat Bolognese with false pasta choice, but Spaghetti is mostly used)
When you get Patrick Bamford from Wish!
I always need garlic or onion and black pepper. I wouldn't do a challenge wiithout them. I do'n't see the point in punishment.
Sam Wilder does these challenges, too. A collab with him would be cool 😊
Should see them when they are full and overflowing. Spectacular.
Totally agree that Asda would have been a better choice, but you still did a great job. You didn't go hungry , which is the main thing! I would have served lunch for dinner and vice versa, seeing as you had such a big brekkie!
Come back Harry😢😢😢
Please use plastic or wooden utensils x
What did you think of Llandrindod pal
I love this but it would not work here in the USA a whole chicken here is $8.20 each or $1.49/lb.
Less than 1K subs?! Couldn't tell! How is this channel less than 1K?
Come back Harry, i need more!
Tune in tomorrow for "strange stuff in a tin" Not being sarcastic actually!! I appreciate the fact that younger people "get it" if you follow that view? Nice one. Good content. Keep it going. Subscribed. A collab with Mike (Atomic Shrimp) i think would be awesome and bring younger people to the table. Best regards!
What a novel and original idea for a series! 🤔 Haha, thanks very much for watching!
Like it. Subd
Absolutely love these videos!
Miss your videos mister
Great meal ideas there ,Harry. I liked the curry with spaghetti hoops. Very interesting choice. Just goes to prove ,we can cook on a budget
Just discovered your channel, great work! Love a good grocery budget challenge 💪
So glad you allowed breathing.
It was interesting to see the English version of Beanie Wienees
I don't see anything wrong with using the reduced items- it's part of normal shopping.
