Most double pumpers for Evos take two pumps and tee them into the stock fuel line. That's never made sense to us. How can you increase flow of fuel when you aren't increasing the volume of the line? Well here is the solution to that. In this video we go over setting up you factory fuel pump housing to utilize the factory Evap line as a secondary fuel line.

How do you like the 4g64 ,159mm rod. Im looking at a 4g63, 94mm crank , 153mm rod.
@pdpd-cx2pf the 2.1 use 4g64 blocks with the 88mm crank with either a 156mm or 162mm. Sounds like you are looking at going 2.2. We've yet to build one of those.
Yea I went with a 4g63, 153mm rod, 94mm crank I accidentally wanted a 4g64, 94mm crank. I want the tall block.
What cams? S3s
Seems like all those clearance and heat on the oil pan issues can be solved with a remote-mount turbo.
You"re still going to have to run an exhaust pipe from the front to the rear of the vehicle to mount the turbo, so you are still going to deal with heat. Also. then you have to worry about clearence, since you'll be running a charge pipe to the front of the car for the intercooler, all while sacrificing turbo spool and efficenecy. Lets also add that now that you've lowered the turbo below the oil pan, you're going to need a scavenger pump to return oil to the front of the vehicle, along with an extremely long stainless steel oil feed line going to the rear of the car to supply oil to the turbo. Rear mount turbo kits are a horrible idea on any front engine vehicle.
Miss hanging out with you assholes 😂
Hi. You test this? Abs work good?
Yes, works with no issues
Most of my floor is gone. , I’d like to share some pics
What thickness aluminum did you use
0.065" thickness. We purchase all of our aluminum from siliconeintakes.com
Great Video!! On another note how is that hot dog heater.
What is the size of the bolt that goes into the stubby shaft??
It's the same OEM bolt that you would use on the unmodified balance shaft.
i thought the ground should come from the motor/trans?
Just has to be ground to the chassis. The chassis itself is ground to the engine and the trans.
Would you be able to give me the serial number of the tensioner tool you used on that pulley?
There are a multi-tude of different companies that make them. They are a Tennsion Pulley Spanner Tool made for Mitsubishi/ Eagle/ Plymouth/ Chrysler vechiles. Here is a URL for one made my Schley, Part Number SLY98700. www.nationaltoolwarehouse.com/Mitsubishi-Plymouth-Eagle-Tension-Pulley-Spanner-Wrench-P125133.aspx
Looks great buddy! Good Job! 🤘🏻
Yes! He’s back! Well done 👍 sir 👌 Now we just need Jake back :-)
Where we can see more of this Evo? That's a quality job 💪
ive heard guys making over 700 reliably on oem 63/64 cranks. With that whats the point of even buying the manley if it cracks at 600?
Availability. 88mm oem unturned Crankshafts are getting harder to find. Plus, if you have ever magnafluxed an oem crankshaft, the amount of micro-stress cracks you'll see are honestly a bit alarming. We've run the 88mm turbo tuff Crankshaft on Nates silver evo for years and on aluminum Rods making 900hp, and it's been fine. On Alan's black evo, though, it did crack the rod journal on cylinder 4 on a 100mm turbo tuff crankshaft at around 600hp on a steel rod motor. Could the material of the rod impact the strength of the crankshaft? Possibly.
I have a 15 Evo x my CMC just fail call Mitsubishi & was told we only warranty up to 2013😞. I just bought the MA performance quick click CMC. Hopefully it's a little easier to install 🙏
Sounds like Alan running the camera lol
Yep! Haha
Hey I know it's been a while. But did the end up working out, by retaining abs and it not freaking out? This is exactly how I plan to do it, just makes me wonder why they say it requires abs deleted
Not sure why they require it. But it works 100٪ with the abs.
Where do you put your fuel pump grounds? Not the relay the fuel pump
I just got that idea, went to Google an a ton of people already did it , 😄.
Same here.I am about to have a 71 600 Coupe
Great video!
i just found out where to adjust the pedal clutch. thank you so much
my hand is full the scratches lol
Wht difrent heliy cut and straight cut ..
Helical gears can deflect. Straight cut gears can not.
Love how you put all the things you love about cars .. very interesting engine swap.. good luck 🍀👍🏾 and more to come 🇵🇭😎👍🏾
Hey so I just bought a 7 bolt that was freshened up so timing wasn’t done too long ago and my water pump pulley was wobbling so since the motor is out of the car I’m gonna be installing a new water pump and re timing it now my question is Do I have to re time the balance shafts or can I skip the balance shafts since they were done recently ? -thanks
Just make sure the timing mark lines up when everything is at tdc. If you’re gonna remove the belt, might as well replace it to be safe
Hey! Just did this, was wondering if the engagement point is high in general on these or if I need to bleed more?
Did u have to bleed brakes
Hi i have more questions is there a way to get in contact with u a business or something
ma performance now makes the quick clip version, mounts the same as factory
your 666th sub… 😈🤘😆
I really want to hear it
Spools at what RPM ?
Cool setup to repurpose an existing stock fuel pump housing unit to support big power. Really interesting to see the cut away of the internal Mitsubishi fuel filter design. Any plans to do a follow-up video since this has been 2 years since this vid dropped if you'd make any design changes?
How long did this take in realtime Mark?
To pull and engine? 3 to 4 hours.
Hey buddy, I tried to locate those straight cut gears by the part numbers listed on them on eBay and on Amazon but no luck. Can you assist?
Unfortunately no. We have had two sets from Mitsubishi themselves that have been on back order for almost 2 years. The likelihood of finding them nowadays are slim to none currently.
just did this myself, lotta fun lol but feels good to stop the damn leak, also had to clean my driverside carpet 2x with a wet vac because of the brake fluid mess. Alot of work but worth it to stop the leak and upgrade the cmc. gotta love those metal riffs in the video..
The springs your talking about are the kiggly beehive springs. What did you replace them with? Those are good springs
when u grinded the panels off the sidewall, did u have to tap in the threads or were they already threaded?
Is there any benefit to running this way rather then having both running all the time?
Can’t see what you’re doin bud.
great fucking video! you are the only one who showed how to lubricate the pump gears located internally. I kept hearing people mention it in other videos or read it on forums but they never showed it. I will be passing the info down to my mechanic with this vid.
Hola soy de Chile y se' de mecanica y he visto videos similares y este amigo es el unico que hace lo mismo que yo al lubricar los engranajes y ejes de la bomba de aceite e incluso al reten. Felicitaciones y saludos.
Where you get that muffler?
It's a Vibrant muffler. But I believe they discontinued that model.
How can I do this type of direct current relay on my fully built Evo 8 swapped 3g eclipse currently has 255hp walbro high pressure version
Would you recommend aluminum rods on a built 2.0 not daily driven
Cars not daily driven
Can aluminum grp 150mm rods be used with wiseco shelf pistons?
@@shane00em1 yes
Hi I have a 1992 talon gsx and a 2005 evo 8 ...I know the 1G has a metal fuel filter on the fire wall with a banjo bolt going to the fuel rail but where is the fuel filter for the evo?.. I thought on the evo 8 and evo 9 the only fuel filter is the sock strainer on the fuel pump from factory.
Can’t you just delete the mustache bar? Why get the Buscher one?
In short. Preference. Yes you can delete the mustache bar entirely and run solid mounts. In my experience though there is quite a bit noise and I feel it sacrifices ride quality.
@@snailfedperformance7177 Gotcha- I just want the “clunk” to go away when I shift hard. I was told to just delete the mustache bar and I don’t plan on going tubular subframe for a long time if ever. Thanks for the reply
do you need to add clearance if your going to be using steel rods?
Depends on the rods. I-Beams typically no. H-beams there's a possibility.
If the car shoots flames would the aluminum be able to handle it and what kind of aluminum is being used?
So do lancer abs sensors work on evos?
Part numbers are different so I'm going to assume no.
