Hello, did you have to order new pins for the cowl to attach to truck or reuse the old ones? Great video!
Just cut the plastic hose off and use the factory connection. The 3/8 hose fits on the end well
Which line goes to the in side of the catch can?
What lift kit u got ?
Link to all the parts needed please great video man
Did you install these to base system or bose system? Do i need to run an amplifier or will the base deck output be enough?
Does it fit under the seat with it down?
@@Claytonlove87 front seat no, rear bench seat…yes!
@ sorry I should have specified. The rear seat like you have the box. Just curious if it sits down all the way. I’m thinking about going this route
When removed, if the snap ring area is nasty, brush it off, spray with penetrant, let soak a while. Then have your way with it!
Great video, sir.
Were you able to later waterproof the he alarm or does it come waterproof?
@@deeb1504 the back up alarm has epoxy-encapsulated electronics provide that exceptional durability and protection against moisture, dust and vibration.
Hi. Can you just replace the rubber seal with a universal one instead of replacing the whole cowl? My cowl is still good, just needs a new seal and the end caps.
@@michaelcammack4008 as long as your cowl isn’t warped (wavy) like mine were, I guess you could replace the seal…but the seal on the OEM cowl is fused to the cowl. You’ll need to search for a seal that will work…

I just got one and I get no sound from sub
@@kelsiecook8986 how did you hook it up? Hi or Low pass? Does the subwoofer amplifier turn on? Would you like to go over how you connected the wires so I can try to help you out🤓
@ basically i Hooked up power cord to battery and i don’t have rca cables so I split the 2 speaker wire connectors and hooked them to my back speakers and hooked the remote wire to cigarette lighter. When I click phase to 180 it just buzzes really loudly for a swcond
@ okay so you the hooked up the rear speaker outputs to the inputs in to the wire harness correct? What’s important is that rear speaker is not connected at all and that your head units volume is set down low and your EQ is set to flat…. You need to make sure your switch is set to HI input and the Amp level is set to low as well. You increase the volume of your head unit first unit it cuts out the amp signal then back off the volume, then increase amplifier input level. If it bogs out, back off the Volume and or back off your bass EQ….
I just Changed my transfer case, front and rear dif fluid, coolant flush and brake flush and FINALLY the STL010 Thermal Bypass mod. 221F before 145F after. DO it ASAP if you have a GM transmission

If I have the stock 20in wheels do I need to get 15.5 or the 17 in ones
@@smiledcj2061 my wheels are 20 inches and I went with the 17 inch. I felt the 15.5 would be too close to the caliper. I hope this helps! Don’t forget to like and subscribe🤙🏼
I did this upgrade using the Superior Solutions Thermal Bypass Valve Kit in my 2017 Yukon with the 6-speed transmission, it is the best alternative for reducing the transmission fluid temperature. You can buy the upgraded version from GM parts, but it is much more expensive because you're replacing the whole unit instead of just the internals. Plus, it is a lot cheaper to go with the Superior Solutions Thermal Bypass Valve Kit. Thanks for the very informative video.
It isn’t much more expensive, it is $61 GM vs $40 Superior. The problem is that GM part may not be stamped “70” and may in fact be a 196 degree unit rather than a new 154. Additionally, it is plug and play, no snap ring pliers required. The GM part is also made in China, if that matters to you. With the GM part, you must still buy new o rings and billet seal/gasket, if that is something you’re interested in replacing. I purchased GM part and it did the same thing my old TBV did: 196 degrees. Only until I installed the Superior delete kit, did I achieve 40 degree lower temps. A few bucks (and a failed attempt) to ensure it it operating at far lower temps is well worth it to me.
How did you remove the end caps? Any advice on how to remove them would be greatly appreciated.
@@HSoto_1 they just pop out. Carefully use panel screw driver or small pry bar to pop them out. The new ones just pop right in…

anyone know what yoke is used on these trucks? have been trying to find one for the rear diff and no one seems to have it😭
Does this power the stock speakers? I’m trying to install
@@cmatin01 no because the output of power is going to the subwoofer speaker. Your stock speakers will feed off the power of the head unit. It depends on what your connections will be…high or low gain.
I have an 87 Chevy Silverado and I can’t even tell if the sound is my phone ringing or music is playing. So I bought this kicker amp/sub combo. NO clue how to install it 😂

Thx for looking up the torque specs. Awesome video
I have the same truck just with an 8 inch lift. It’s always nice to find someone on RUclips with the same vehicle who records doing work on it.
Look good but Tiny tires Need to take them off its not good having them on that truck in that lift size. Looks bad. Says you didn't have money for the proper tires.
@@kozmicflush980 Money is not a problem 🤣. The problem are the tickets I get from law enforcement for having a tall suspension lift. I can easily clear 30x16’s on 42x15.50’s, but it’s not worth getting harassed by the police. Most lifted trucks with big ass tires are either towed to car shows or just weekend warriors. My truck is a daily driver…. Eventually, everyone gets a ticket for having a tall lift and no mudflaps🤣

FYI, in this rare instance you can use either the 7/16 inch or 11mm wrench on the driveshaft clamp bolts. The actual fractional difference is only .004 which is like nothing. Nice video.
where is your power wire hooked to when i splice a thick wire from the battery into my power wire the sub does not turn on
@@mosessherwood3766 what turns on the amplifier is the blue remote wire. That wire needs to be attached to a positive wire that gets power when the ignition is turned on. The other way to turn on the amp is the tap into speaker outputs from the head unit to send an audio signal into the amplifier. You’ll have to set the amplifier switches to HI-input (gain)… I hope this helps!
Hi from Australia! This is the first video I have watched from you, so first off, THANKS! Also, your rock light switch positive... Do you have that connected direct to the battery or are you piggybacking off a permanent hot circuit, and do you have a preference? Thanks :)
@@RandomActsofGibberish Mahalo for Checking out the video! The rock lights go direct to the battery with a 30 amp inline fuse 6” from the positive battery terminal. Honestly, I prefer to go directly to the battery instead of tapping into a harness for power (unless the instructions specifically tell you exactly where to tap into, which most instructions don’t) for fear of blowing fuses and causing a short in the electrical system 🤣
Good video. Im gonna watch it two or three more times when i haven't been drinking then change mine out... Been two years no AC... Supposed to be 111 in Omaha Nebraska today.... Dyin lol
Why does people show how to hook up LED lights, but nobody ever shows where the wire is for the brakes to make all lights turn red when the brakes are applied??
@@ChuckErickson-ub1xu because the LED kit used in this video does not have the brake light feature. You will need to purchase a LED kit that has the option and ability to come on when hitting the brakes (usually if it’s an RGB LED set - the light will turn red)… That is probably the reason why you don’t see videos with the brake light option…. Here’s a link you might be interested in: ruclips.net/video/3q-5eJFkQb8/видео.htmlsi=YPhTYheT2cNPG6mF
@@hawaiianbrokechanic Thank you for your reply. I know everything you mentioned as I hooked up LED's to my ultra classic, and connected to brake so all lights turn red. The module for the brake on a triglide isn't in the same place and not sure if it's the same blue wire with a red stripe as the ultra. I finally located it (I think) in a different area behind the seat, not under. I spliced into the same color wire on the triglide and the lights don't turn red when applying brake. Now, not sure what to do because I love that feature and that's the main reason I got the lights. But, once again, no matter how I ask or where I look, I can't find any video's on where the brake wire is at. Any extra pointers you may have I would appreciate...thank you
