      @@RandomActsofGibberish Mahalo for Checking out the video! The rock lights go direct to the battery with a 30 amp inline fuse 6” from the positive battery terminal. Honestly, I prefer to go directly to the battery instead of tapping into a harness for power (unless the instructions specifically tell you exactly where to tap into, which most instructions don’t) for fear of blowing fuses and causing a short in the electrical system 🤣

    • @hawaiianbrokechanic

      @@ChuckErickson-ub1xu because the LED kit used in this video does not have the brake light feature. You will need to purchase a LED kit that has the option and ability to come on when hitting the brakes (usually if it’s an RGB LED set - the light will turn red)… That is probably the reason why you don’t see videos with the brake light option…. @@hawaiianbrokechanic Thank you for your reply. I know everything you mentioned as I hooked up LED's to my ultra classic, and connected to brake so all lights turn red. The module for the brake on a triglide isn't in the same place and not sure if it's the same blue wire with a red stripe as the ultra. I finally located it (I think) in a different area behind the seat, not under. I spliced into the same color wire on the triglide and the lights don't turn red when applying brake. Now, not sure what to do because I love that feature and that's the main reason I got the lights. But, once again, no matter how I ask or where I look, I can't find any video's on where the brake wire is at. Any extra pointers you may have I would appreciate...thank you

    The reason you mark the pinion NUT and pinion when replacing the seal is NOT to ensure you re-attach the driveshaft the same way it came apart, but to ensure when you replace the yoke and torque the nut you get the pinion bearing preload back to something close to proper values. If you didn't do that, good luck with obtaining proper pinion bearing preload. Now you'll need to pull it apart and start over with a new crush sleeve. You just turned an afternoon job into a multi-day-long thrash.

    Any unit is likely to get wet within the evaporator that is why it's recommended that UV be placed above the coils. That particular unit is also intended as an external mount rather than an internal.

      Thanks for your feedback! Considering this is the first time I’ve done anything like this, you’re probably right….just like many of us, I’ve watched countless RUclips videos to see how people are mounting these things and just so happens I picked the install that worked for my application…. I do need to get up in there to check to see if the build is burnt out 🤣

    I can’t get the sub to turn blue. It stays red. Any ideas?

    • @hawaiianbrokechanic
      @hawaiianbrokechanic 3 месяца назад

      Does the light stay red when the volume is all the way down? If so, you’ve got way too much watts going into the amp. Make sure all your gains are set to flat on the head unit EQ and the amplifier gain is set to the lowest setting… start by increasing volume on you head unit until it clips then back off a little. From there you can increase the gain on the amp…. Too much bass into the amp will also cause clipping and the amp will go into protection mode… I hope this helps!

      @@rileybattis8754 how do you have the speaker wires connected to the amplifier? Did you use a RCA adapter or spliced wires together? Make sure you got the amplifier switches turned on to the right settings.

    Aloha! I bumped into your channel because I currently have a 2018 Silverado 1500 that I may need to replace my AC valves/hoses but I'm a bit lost because looking at the diagrams & parts I can't make up if the assembly is just all one piece where it looks like it has the high & low pressure hoses combined & then there's some that the hoses appear as individual piece so I was wondering if you had any knowledge on what hoses I would need to replace if I was needing to replace ALL of the AC system related ones? The main reason is I appear to have a small leak somewhere in my AC system but doesn't look to be from the condenser so to be safe I want to replace all the hoses, seals, etc. pull a vacuum to get all the current freon/oil out and then refill it with the appropriate amount but I'm stuck on what hoses/assembly parts I'll need to do this so any tips or info would be greatly appreciated!

      Aloha Erik! So your best bet is to go into a Napa Autoparts store or the dealership to ask for the part numbers you need for both high and low hoses. I’ve done this many time time so there’s no confusion as to what parts I need. You can also put dye in the system to pin point the leak before spending money on parts you didn’t need to buy… Keep me posted on what route you decided to take! 🤙🏼

      @@hawaiianbrokechanic Not sure why I didn't think of that haha but that's actually a pretty good idea just so that I get the exact parts I'll need IF I do need to replace the assembly & I think doing a dye test should be simple enough so I'll give that a crack too. Appreciate the advice friend!!

    I bought a cheap version instead of the superior solutions version (huge mistake) and I could not get the housing to close past the 2nd large O ring. Ended up flipping the pill instead until my order comes in and Ill try again. The next day driving my truck I saw the temps get up to 167 in the morning when cooler and 189 in the afternoon when it was a bit warmer. Def hoping for a cooler temp once I install the Superior Solutions version.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but that catch pan shouldn't be getting wet at all isn't it? Does this mean the unit is leaking inside? I believe the second drain attached to the catch pan that exits above a window is used to indicate trouble in the system.

      Thanks for your feedback! Full transparency, I know very little about the mechanics of my HVAC system… I get my HVAC system serviced twice a year and I was told because of the extreme heat, the system condenses a whole lot more… Next time I get my system serviced, I will ask the technician!
