For me, the main thing i dont like about breakpoint, is the persistent online connection. All my other issues like the stupid gear rarity system was fixed with updates. I play it as realistic as i can. No hud, ghost experience and what not. One thing i wish, is the camo actually worked.

Great to see this game getting recognition again. I've been hosting tournaments for the omega collection and its been a blast to try and keep this community going as long as possible.

I found a glitch where, if you switched your car while you went in water, you would glitch under it and you could drive across the seafloor. MAN WHY DID THE GAME HAVE TO GO LIKE THIS, THERE WAS SO MUCH SEAFLOOR LEFT TO EXPLORE.

Fun fact: you can collect the whole WipEout games collection simply on PS Vita. 1, 2097, 3, Pure, Pulse, HD Fury, 2048. not sure if Fusion works, but maybe? since PS Vita did have a PS2 emulator

HD Fury is the best WipeOut game of the latter half of the series, and is absolutely worth it. Adding 2048 on top is just a cherry on top.

Love the Outruns! Got the first Outrun on the Sega Saturn and Retropie. Outrun 2 on the OG Xbox, and Outrun 2006 on the PS2. Coast to Coast got Pricey!

Definitely looks better now, but the healthbars and fortnite colorful loot is kind of a turn off. Is there a way to turn those off?

How would one acquire this DLC? I have a still functional real PSP (unmodded) with a Wipeout Pure UMD, which I'm pretty sure is the EU edition. Ideally, I'd like to get it on my PSP without modding or emulation...

Me and my friend enjoyed it very mutch only missing the boss system from wildlands and i we played it frist time now in 2024 not at release also i whuld love cooler wepon animations and the animation when targets get hit are lacking specialy when i shoot them whit one of the big snipers and they dont even roll when hit and those wepons dont have recoil so it also makes them 100% unrelistic . Both me and my friend are experinced so we played the game as mutch difficult as possibel save a few comfort options like the quests being guided since if u dont have it ur fucked u littarly cant follow the story ... since many of the quests starts at 1 place then u have to move 3-10 km ingame and during that time if u dont fast travel u get fucking tired and quit the game . I whuld give this game a solid 7 of 10 by type of game and in general 6 of 10 and worth buying on sale .

The Omega collection was actually the first time I played a wipeout game. My roommate in college brought their PS4 with them and very generously let me buy the game on their system when it was on sale for $8. Genuinely one of my favorite racing games of all time. It really sucks that the Omega collection may very well be the last wipeout game to ever come out, but the series went out on a damn good release. With any luck maybe studio Liverpool will return one day, but for now, I'm happy with the Omega Collection

It's interesting I've replayed both recently, wildlands is the better game can't quite put my finger on why. Breakpoint hmm stealth isn't really a thing every encounter seems to be a firefight the game seems to push it there no matter what you do. Neither are "great" wildlands is good breakpoint is... Odd

what a coincidence, i've been watching your videos on past wipeout entries lately because i *just* got into the omega collection recently. been having a lot of fun with it

With so many Sony titles being ported to PC lately I can only hope the Omega Collection does too as personally I have no desire on getting a PS4 nor 5. Granted I still play HD/Fury on my PS3 occasionally but I always wanted to try 2048 but getting hands on a Vita is tricky as their prices are going up because they're fantastic homebrew devices.

What platform are you on? Your gameplay graphics are insane. I play it on Xbox X and 4k TV but still lack the depth as your video.

You want a nitpick? I'll give you a nitpick I still dislike to this day that HD Fury's campaign doesnt include any of the HD reverse tracks, like sure you can play then in the racebox but it definitively isn't the same when you have the superficial incentive of getting them gold medals bro. Also the lack of reverse tracks in general in 2048 is also something that baffles me, albeit to a more understandable level

Wipeout as a franchise died with 2048, but it's influence was strong enough to create a strong variety of other AG racing games to step into those shoes like Redout, Ballistic NG and Pacer and a community with nothing but love towards these games and their inspiration

Wipeout series is GOATED

While I love the Omega Collection, especially the reintroduction of Van-Über and Tigron, the lack of custom soundtracks was a glaring omission in my eyes. It's what gave the original HD/Fury so much longevity for me, with EDM, trance and techno playlists, as well as compilations of every Wipeout OST up to that point. I even made special playlists for Zone mode, with beat drops lined up with certain zone transitions. edit: I'm aware it's the fault of the hardware and not the game itself, just saying it's a shame.

The first Wipeout game I ever played was HD/Fury on ps3, afterwards I got Pure and we already owned Wip3out that I hadn’t tried by that point. All of them are amazingly fun, with Omega Collection it feels like 3 different games in one easy-to-play package and is by far the best racing game ever.

having 2048 on the Vita with the HD/Fury expansion is almost like having the Omega Collection on the go. the only difference is the soundtrack and the lack of the extra Van Uber and Tigron ships. that pre-order special edition that came with a miniature floating ship sounds sweet af. thank you for your amazing videos on this series!

I have Wipeout XL for the PC, it was a great game for that time period in 3D gaming.
