I really wanted Napier to make it. When he was hired, I told friends that we needed to ride it out for 4 to 5 years no matter how bad it got. But I didn't think it would be this bad. But ..... To fire a coach 3 games into the 3rd season is a bad look. Makes it harder to hire a REAL head coach. And I'm not sure that's Kiffin. Oakland, Tennessee, and USC alll kinda stunk. He's making the best of the opportunity that being Saban's OC afforded him .... But he's 1-19 agains 9-win teams.

My kids basically want the Gators to fail because at the Miami game they had positive interactions with the canes fans and negative interactions with the Gators fans. My boy wanted to go to the a&m game but the girls wanted to stay home, so we all just stayed home. But my boy was salivating for "another massacre" 😄

As a UGA graduate and my brother in law and his 3 sons are UF grads and he's a bullgator and big supporter it does pain me to watch what he's going through. He told me in the spring game they looked terrible and were going to be pitiful. It's not a matter of IF it's a matter of when. I guess whatever is going on behind the scenes the brass are working their angles.

Once again, you can’t see the forest for the trees. You discuss why someone may want to Florida but fail to mention an obvious reason why Florida is NOT a destination that will have top coaches falling all over themselves for a chance to come to Hogtown. Gainesville is where coaches go to die. Let’s look at the past FOUR! What happened to their careers after taking the Florida job? Will Muschamp, Jim McElwain, Dan Mullen, and Billy Napier. Let’s not go into why they failed, just the fact that they were extremely diminished after coming to Florida. Urban Meyer was not diminished, but coaching in Gainesville about killed him. Something’s toxic there! Even the Golden Boy, Steve Spurrier, quit coaching at UF because of how toxic the fans are. He said so! Florida’s fans are Soooo toxic they drove away the guy who would have coached at UF until he retired. Anyway, to not mention the fact that going to Gainesville has not been a good decision for the past four coaches is being lazy. Think about it! Why would any coach want to subject themself to what is the toxic atmosphere in Gainesville? As far as I know, there’s a shortage of fools around, unless you’re looking at Republicans.

Having the whole 06 crew as coaches would be something. I'd nominate Tim Tebow as HC.

Bottom line. We needed an OC. He was stubborn & stayed play caller. UM coach said they took UF’s top plays from LAST YEAR. And we be damned, BP rolled same dang O plays out there?!?! Gotta go!

Billy isn't getting fired mid season, and shouldn't be. The poaching would be insane. I am not even sure Billy is getting fired at all. It's wait and see as far as I am concerned.

It seems like Billy Napier goals are to make a bowl game and keep a 6 to 8 win average and he's satisfied but the Florida football goals should be to make the playoffs and compete for championships and consistently maintain 9 to 11 win seasons if we settle for less Florida will be a bowl game program happy for 6 to 8 win seasons the athletics administration must not let that happen at Florida to Lose more than 3 or 4 games a year is unexceptable unless it's a very rare down year under a good coach we believe in and he improves the very next year.

Napiers system is so methodical, so systematic, it almost seems robotic in nature. When something falls into this state, the passion of the game and the fundamentals are overlooked. There is no wisdom, and this process breeds confusion.
