We forget the number of players we lost to injury including an all SEC cornerback and the defense kept improving. I don’t know who was responsible but if it was Roberts, to me it’s a no brainer , keep Ron Roberts at all cost. The turnaround this defense made from how they started to how they finished is almost miraculous. One of the most impressive coaching jobs I’ve ever witnessed in many, many years watching college football. Usually if you’re bad once the season starts, you stay that way. I was truly impressed, especially considering the injuries on defense.

Improvement was seen on the field this year because the young players finally knew what to do and just played like their house was on fire and didn’t have to think about details before the snap. Is there any talk of putting a list of statistics a player should achieve to receive all this big money they feel entitled too. Shouldn't sound reasoning dictate a more performance based pay out. That way a player must earn the money thru meeting " benchmarks"

I don't know if Ron Roberts was the man, they definitely turned a corner might not need anyone else. If it was Austin Armstrong, than Charlie Strong definitely would be on top of my list
As a Gator fan for decades, Austin was NOT the answer for a program like Florida. I wish him the best, but it's "time for him to fly!" I can remember when Florida's D was, literally, "feared." But this Florida D didn't get it going 'till the 10th game this past season. That's not sustainable for a school like UF. Well, that is 'IF' they want to have "playoff aspirations." Go Gators!
