Why is it called “bid” on flight? What does that mean?

Still my favourite a/c in the sim FSX/X-Plane 12/MSFS2020. There are higher-res textures for the V/C on the net somewhere.

l don’t know if you’ll see this on a six-year-old video, but I would like to give my opinion on where you should do your tutorials you probably have already decided but you should do it at your “base of operations” if that makes any sense for example, my base of operations is KMSP so judging by what you said in this video I would assume it would be KPHX but if you feel like you should do it elsewhere that’s totally fine with me.

NAV is take 5 mins to align.

How did you manage to level the plane on cruise? Mine is always pitching up 4-5 degrees regardless of trim, weight, CG or flight level. Salty + Worldliner mod on CS 777

Hey Capt, finally purchased this aircraft and I've been flying it. I have version 1.08, and every time at top of climb it overspeeds?!? I've had it in managed(FMS) and manual speed. Had it set to mach.82 and it oversped all the way up to 0.95! You ever run into this behavior?

Wish we had a pmdg md11 in msfs 2020. Waiting on tfdi has been slow going. They made their pre-purchase release, but didnt hit their 60 day following release. Progress on their progress page has been almost non-existent the past 6 weeks or so.

6 years later, this has helped me understand how to fly V and J airways, thanks!

A year late to this one, but nicely done ! I'm guessing that takeoff turbulence may have been from the wake of the 747 that took off just before you. I think the disagree message you saw after landing is just the flight recorder saying that it's off. That's one thing I noticed I always see before taxi/takeoff as well. There's no action needed as it arms and disarms itself automatically

I just downloaded it, I have no liveries, no spinning fanblades, texture mapping issues and as soon as I take off it banks violently to the left no matter what I do. And it's not like I don't know how to fly it, I have loads of hours in the PMDG MD-11 in FSX. Reinstalled it, no change. It almost feels like mine is not activated or something.

Hey great video Mac. Some quick feedback, please don't teach people to delete vectors out of the SIDs or STARs. These vectors are critically important for ATC and on networks such as VATSIM we have numerous problems with pilot deviations from the end of STARs due to them deleting these vectors. The final track on the STAR should always be flown until ATC gives further clearance.

Will the plane have a real-time loading feature like a lot of other planes do for Passengers/Cargo/Fuel? Used to love seeing the fuel fill each tank on the PMDG MD-11

I really hope they will work on the engine simulation. I noticed that the engine parameters all match exactly. That would be nearly impossible. Take a look at pmdg 737 and you see the parameters vary..god bless!

Slope in this case is 1134-1110=24'. 24/10300*100= 0.2% upslope. Thanks for the video, can't wait!
