I wish she had recorded this 8 or 9 years, or even 3 years earlier. Something happened to her voice between 1959 and 1960 where the top became raspy and threadbare. The fluency and interpretation and musicianship are unequalled as always.

Надо же.. Поет - как разговор телефонный ведет. Никакого напряжения, все ровно, просто, легко, открыто, при этом интенсивно и колоратурно - что верхние ноты, что низ.. Разве что эмоциональная составляющая - подкачала. В целом - замечательная техника и звучание. Жаль, что запись плохая.. И тем не менее, судя даже по такой записи - она сильнее Ponselle, очевидно. Но почему-то исполнение Ponselle мне нравится больше 🤔.. - у нее харизма сильнее. и голос темнее, видимо. Она, когда поет, как-будто все время закрывается, маскируется, убегает - а ты пытаешься ее поймать . Очень увлекательно )

Травиату поют все кому не лень в огромном количестве, а вот исполнение единиц , в том числе Тебальди достойно уважения❤

Accenti insensati sui bassissimi (ahimè oggi sono un canone...) e frasi "mangiate" a favor di registro alto. Nonostante tutte le imperfezioni , la sua voce fu e rimane una delle più gradevoli nello scenario lirico mondiale. Mi piace.

Das Ihre Kunst, stets mehr der Schönheit, im Sinne von Wahrhaftigkeit gedinnt hat, als der Schönheit,bin Sinne von Gefälligkeit! wahre Kunst braucht, kein Denken, was diesen in Katherogien zwängen will! Wahre Kunst ist über solches erhaben, da Sie ein Anschlag auf die Seele ist, nicht auf die Sinne und den Verstand! Maria Callas war, ist und wird es, meiner Meinung bleiben, eine Künstlerin, aller höchsten und Unerreichten Rang! Sie gab der Oper, Ihre Wahre Bedeutung zurück! Für mich hat sich der Geist der Griechischen Tragödie, in die Stimme von Maria Callas inkarniert! Kritiker wahren nach meinem Verständnis, mit der Einzigkeit und Größe Ihrer Kunst überfordert und haben über diese zu schweigen!
