    by default infjs are born with closed doors... no other could understand that. Even if there is light.. it is always too far, infj can only delve in chances that are likely designed for them. otherwise doors will be closed no matter how much efforts are being set in.

    They are funny, surprisingly intelligent at times, but they have some blind spots, if they haven’t done much inner work. They are also late bloomers, but can be remarkably creative and productive, later in life - they are certainly fun, a touch stubborn. I’m a more independent INFJ so the alone time and the hobbies are essential, and I’m less methodical than you sound. I’m on the edge barely on the judging side, so I’m a bit more adventurous as well. So interesting…Impressive video. -INFJ

Finally, I know you said wait till the end but I am an ISTP and you married one so you already know..... =-) =-) BTW I LOVE MY INFJ FRIENDS, I always have atleast one. Get me rid of laziness and procastination. I can't even imagine how big I'll become if these two will be an absense in my life. I've been scholar with very less hours put in compared to other like 5:1 or like 8:1 and still beat them. But it was a time when I had to in system. Now there is no pressure and kind of no goal either.. there are deadlines in work but I just not seem to care and don't care at all in climbing corporate ladder!

    INFJ (F) married to an ISTP (M). I will say this as nicely as I can. My husband is very...one dimensional. If I could go back, I'm not sure I would get married to anyone at all; I'm not sure there is anyone in human form that would fit me. I don't believe in soulmates anymore. If anything, we are our *own* soulmates... In my journey of emotional health, I have come to this internal realization that *everything* I need...is already inside me. Sometimes we just have to know how to use our keys to open each lock inside us, but it's all inside of us already. There is nothing external to you that could ever have something you *need*...it's simply not how the universe works. Things or people outside of us can be lovely, we can cherish them, enjoy them for the temporary time we have with them...but we are complete inside ourselves. If a person finds themselves yearning for something external to themselves or feeling empty and incomplete, it's a sign that *internal* works needs to be done, not stuffing away the feeling with more *external* things. This is all just my perspective of course, but I feel very strongly about it. Had to experience a horrendous amount of pain to be gifted with these realizations. Love to you all.

      Hmmmmm….hmmmm……well put. I think you are 100% correct. Very INFJ of you, and beautifully insightful, and beautifully written. I was with an infp for 23 years. It was a very good relationship. After it ended, sadly, I was not sure if I wanted to bother with another relationship, not out of bitterness, but it was such an emotional investment, and the end was so tragic, I just couldn’t really imagine walking through another one. Now, somehow, I am with an INTJ. I think I would recommend an INTJ to every INFJ. But of course, this isn’t how life works, and I adored my infp. I think every relationship has its pros and cons, but you are dead on - we must fulfill ourselves, and a partner is meant to augment life, not to complete, or to “solve” it.

    Hey I'd really appreciate if you could answer -- is your husband a secure attachment style? It seems ISTPs generally lean dismissive avoidant. My 8 year relationship with my ISTP recently ended with a lot of attachment style issues becoming big deals. I still can't totally understand what parts were him being an ISTP and what was him having an avoidant attachment style.

    • @fowchiiiliedpuppiesdied
      @fowchiiiliedpuppiesdied 5 месяцев назад

      I’d say more of it sounds like the attachment problems. Also, age, for an istp, has a lot to do with their level of maturity, more than the average type. They are late bloomers with regard to relationships. They need to experience more tangible, sensory events to learn lessons in life, and INFJs can easily solve problems via observation. We have introverted intuition first, after all. It takes istps longer to realize for themselves (not to mention every other type, to some extent) that you, the INFJ, were right all along. It sounds kind of arrogant, but it’s not, it’s just true. I’m in middle age. The issue will be him, more than it is you, in life. Don’t be like me, and learn this lesson too late. Life would have been more fun for me, had I appreciated that yes, we are right most of the time, even if we wish we weren’t.

    would like to add that you have the( immature infj )that seemingly only live in their head, wants, thoughts ect.. and has a tough time coming out of that space to make those things happen. then you as you mature as an infj doing those chores,Goals and forward movement become your dominant functions. This all comes with age , so dont worry! and once you come into that level of your mature infj personality , nothing can stand in your way💓

    Love this video. INFJ female married to an ISTP male here. I had always assumed I would marry a fellow intuitive type, namely an INTJ, because of the extremely deep intellectual and emotional connection I had with some in the past. However, when I met my ISTP man, all of my previous (conscious or subconscious) assumptions came crashing down. He's the most amazing person I have ever had the privilege of meeting. We also complement each other seamlessly, while still having enough overlap/things in common to keep things fun. I know this is not the same for every ISTP (they all have their *own* unique talents and strengths), but the extremely logical side of my brain is so blown away by how this man can build or fix legitimately *anything* he puts his hands on. I'm talking he's a master mechanic, was a certified electrician (not just electric around the house; even knows how to fix *high-tension power lines* and anything at substations), is UDOT-certified and is the man *semi truck* drivers call when they are in a bind/slid off the road/crashed, as he knows exactly what to do (and how to do so in a pinch/while under pressure). He can (and has) built an entire house from the ground up completely himself. He also was a paramedic and I've seen him knowing exactly what to do to save a person's life after an accident. He's also an Electrical Engineer and all of the calculus and "high-level" mathematics I took (for my MS in Bioengineering) - he completely understands, which is one of the ways I feel very intellectually satiated and understood around him. The emotional side of my INFJ brain loves how tender-hearted and compassionate he is, and just what a loving, sweet soul he is. He's also very romantic, especially for an ISTP. (Quite a developed Fe.) He constantly surprises me with flowers and other little gestures just out of the blue. I worked as a (low-level) mechanic when I was younger and always had a huge passion for all things internal combustion engine. He *loved* when we met how anything he was working on at his mechanic shop - I would be crawling under the truck and asking him about *everything* and trying to take the tools from him to try to do it myself, ha...I assumed it was annoying as all hell but he told me way later that he had loved it...still does. (Melts my heart.) Anyhow, all things mechanical = one of the "overlap" things we have in common that makes it so fun. We definitely have differences in how we each communicate (although I have this experience with every sensor type I've ever known), but we've both always been incredibly motivated to do what it takes to work through any miscommunications (which I think has been the key). I didn't find him until I was in my 30s...I had written off that the universe had anyone for me, had completely stopped dating for years...because of some life-changing and gutting experiences in the past when dating (including a horrific death). And then when I least expected it, there he was. Just in case any of that ^ is any benefit to anyone else. Apologies for writing a whole book! :)

    I have issues don't get me wrong but I feel my infjism helped me to see God in everything. With archaeology and science there is sooooo much proving the Bible as true. Lee Strobel, Case for Christ. Kent Hovind, Lies in the Textbooks. Noah's Ark, Red Sea crossing, Ark of the Covenant, Sodom and Gommorah have all been found, Hezekiah's door handle. The Creator of the Universe loves you, He made you and wants you to come back to Him. There are only 2 choices, God the Creator and His angels and Satan and his demons. All else is deception. Jesus died for our sins so if we accept His sacrifice we can live with Him in eternity. He will give you peace and help you overcome all sins that hurt us. I had an overeating disorder, Jesus helped me overcome it and now I can eat like a normal person. I am working on more now. I feel He led me here to save my marriage. Thank you! God loves you, please put your faith in Jesus. He can save your hide and your soul if you let Him in.

    #4 Is why I left my church. Our pastor died, 2 kids of fellow members committed suicide. Feeling everyone's grief. 1 person wouldn't speak to me when we were friends prior. A child was bullying mine and parents allowed dark things to be around her and allowed her cruelty. I tried to stay in class to observe. I felt alienated for trying to protect my child. All was just too much for my infj self and codependent aspect. Working on that now.
