    Hello King, when I buy the Gamesir game console, are there games installed in it? Or does it need to have a PS or PC to play games?

    • @helphq

      This is just a controller that connects to your phone so long as your phone has a USB-C port. It only plays games that you have on your phone. You can also stream games on your phone from Xbox Game Pass and similar services as long as you pay for them and the controller will work for that as well.

      I live pretty close to the tower. Without the antenna if I’m using the invisagig modem I get very similar speeds, but the invisagig comes with good antennas out of the box. I do see a dip if using a stock T-Mobile gateway ballpark 150Mbps down 20Mbps up on a good day.

    • @helphq
      @helphq 17 дней назад

      Well you don't NEED to do it if the stock gateway is working fine for you. I did this specifically to add a mesh system with a higher (new) WiFi spec so that I had better coverage in my house as well as faster speeds. You definitely don't have to do it though. Plus for my situation specifically the gateway from T-Mobile got the best service in an upstairs bedroom window which meant anyone downstairs or in our finished basement had horrible WiFi signal.... which is why I added the mesh system.

    Can you please help how to setup the “Run” button for call of duty mobile?

    • @helphq
      @helphq 16 дней назад

      If you have an iPhone the only buttons you can map are the back two. This is because the controller is mimicking a PlayStation controller in order to work on iOS. So if pressing down on the left analog stick doesn’t work to run then something is setup wrong in the call of duty app or how the phone is recognizing the controller. If you have an android you can use the GameSir app to remap all the buttons. You can see how to map the rear buttons on iOS in the manual here: www.gamesir.hk/pages/manuals-gamesir-g8

    This is very helpful! It definitely worked for my Orbi router and 2 Orbi satellites. I had constant network drops, and changing these values stopped the connectivity issues. Below is an explanation of what changing these settings mean from ChatGPT's perspective: CTS/RTS Threshold: 1. Old Setting (64): This was making your devices ask for permission a lot before talking to the Wi-Fi, like raising their hands every time they wanted to speak. This caused them to get cut off and lose connection often. . New Setting (2304): Now, your devices don't have to ask for permission as much. It's like allowing them to speak more freely without raising their hands all the time, so they don't get cut off and stay connected better. 2. Preamble Mode: . Old Setting (Automatic): This was like the Wi-Fi talking in a way that sometimes changed, which could confuse your devices and make them lose connection. . New Setting (Long Preamble): Now, the Wi-Fi talks in a steady, clear way all the time. This makes it easier for your devices to understand and stay connected. Why This Helped? . Fewer Interruptions: With the new settings, your devices can talk to the Wi-Fi more smoothly without too many interruptions, like having a nice, calm conversation without constantly being asked to wait. . Better Understanding: The steady way the Wi-Fi talks now (long preamble) helps your devices understand it better, making sure they don't get confused and lose connection. By making these changes, your devices can stay connected to the Wi-Fi without dropping off, just like how you stay in a conversation without getting interrupted or confused.

    Good morning brother, how are you? I wanted to ask you a question ! I have an iMac 2015 late 27 inc, as we know, it comes with Fusion Drive. I deconfigure the units. I have it separately because I have the idea of eliminating the HDD and installing a Crucial P3 1TB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD. I also bought the adapter and made it. everything as is but the iMac does not turn on, I saw your cloning video I did it as is it does not turn on either I think it may be an adapter what do you think or has this ever happened to you is there a solution thank you ..

    • @helphq
      @helphq 20 дней назад

      If you put the Fusion Drive back in and remove the nVme does it boot? The machine should power on even if the hard drive were removed. You’d just get a question mark on the splash screen, but there would be power. You have a different problem. Something isn’t plugged in or something was perhaps inadvertently messed up from static electricity. I’m not sure if you were grounded when you disassembled then machine. I’d double check everything is connected properly. You could try this (typically what you’d do after a power outage): 1) Unplug the iMac power cable from the back of the machine (not from the wall or power strip outlet) 2) Push in and hold the iMac power button for five seconds 3) Release the iMac power button 4) Plug the iMac power cable back into the back of the machine 5) Press the iMac power button normally. The machine will now startup.

    • @helphq
      @helphq 21 день назад

      Unfortunately not. CCC no longer guarantees being able to make an actual bootable copy on apple silicon Mac’s. Apple has a lot of packages requiring signatures and their security features are becoming strict. Since you’re trying to do this on a MacBook I would make sure your SSD and its enclosure are compatible. If the computer recognized it for your first attempt at cloning the drive then they most likely are. With CCC7 the company has taken an approach that’s similar to using Time Machine, but you could look through this article and see if it will help you get it going: support.bombich.com/hc/en-us/articles/20686422131479-Creating-legacy-bootable-copies-of-macOS

I would note that going to an actual corporate owned store (at least for T-Mobile) as opposed to a third party store usually yields better results when needing help. Some of the third party store will look like it’s a corporate T-Mobile store, but they’re not. You can see which ones are / are not on their website. You could try to pickup the FX2000 second hand if they won’t help you. Just make sure it’s not locked and there’s no money owed on the device.

    • @helphq
      @helphq 28 дней назад

      The process should be the same you’re just going to be doing everything on the single drive. The downside here is that if you remove the wrong partitions you will lose everything on your machine and it won’t boot.

      Check out my HINT control app video. In my opinion it’s easier to turn the WiFi off that way. I have a video for each platform. After you turn the WiFi off on your T-Mobile gateway you can hook up the ASUS and put the ASUS in bridge mode. Some routers call it access point mode.

    I have an iMac 2017 21.5 running Ventura 13.6.7 on an internal 1T HDD. I have available an empty 2 T WD SSD external drive. The Mac HDD is frustratingly slow. If I were to employ CCC as described in this video, and make the cloned drive the boot drive, would it be markedly faster? If so and I use CCC, would/should I erase the hard drive and use it for storage?

    • @helphq
      @helphq Месяц назад

      @johnbaize6825 - This question depends on quite a few things so I'm going to try to break it down and keep it as simple as possible. If you have a 1Tb 5400 RPM mechanical drive the read / write speed of your drive is at best 100 Mbps. If your external drive is USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt 3 then it would be faster. USB 3.0 is on average 640Mbps for a read / write rate while thunderbolt 3 is over 2,000 Mbps. If you are comfortable with taking the computer apart you could purchase an nvme SSD and an adapter. There's a proprietary SSD port on the backside of the logicboard of this machine. This would yield you much better speeds (closer to thunderbolt 3 speeds) and keep the computer intact. You can see the process here to see if you're comfortable with it: ruclips.net/video/8QaujVUVb_I/видео.htmlsi=S149sovCUOFQi-Sq If you choose to go the external route I would personally get a thunderbolt 3 drive and then clone the internal drive. You could erase the internal drive and use it for storage, but if it were me I'd just change the background on the internal drive to something else so that you'll know it's running on the internal drive instead of the external. This way if something were to happen to the external drive the machine is still working and useable. As long as you select the external drive and set it to the default boot drive in the system settings the internal drive will not boot unless you unplug the external drive. Since you already own the 2TB drive you could test this out before buying a thunderbolt 3 drive. Just know you will lose everything that is currently saved on the drive. You might even be happy with it as is and not need to purchase anything else. If the drive is USB 2.0 though it's not going to be any better than what you already have.

I do not like putting the linux boot loader in the same boot partition as windows. No, I'm not a distro hopper, I use all distros at least 4 to 5 times each month.

    • @helphq
      @helphq Месяц назад

      I’m not tracking that Roku makes a router. Your Roku device should connect to your third party router fine or even the supplied gateway. If it doesn’t then I would check to make sure your router or gateway is broadcasting in mixed mode and if that doesn’t fix it then change the channel your router is broadcasting on for 2.4 and 5Ghz.

      I'm not sure what you're asking. If you have the wifi turned off and reset the the device to factory defaults you should be able to follow the video and do it again. In theory as long as you type the admin password correctly in the app it should just take a minute or two to do it again.

    Do you have a router as well with it? How secure is the gateway without any type of router or firewall?

    • @helphq
      @helphq Месяц назад

      I use an eero mesh system. The T-Mobile provided gateway itself is both a modem and a router in one. Tmobiles initial 4g gateways had firewall settings you could configure but when they released their 5g gateways they removed these options for two reasons 1) being that they were looking to make this as simplistic as possible so that anyone could set it up and 2) because you’re accessing the internet via a cellular network the firewall resides on the network and T-Mobile is the only one that can configure it. So in theory your everyday person doesn’t need to be able to mess with settings like that because they are already taking care of it in an effort to protect the network as a whole. I haven’t had any issues using the service and I’ve never been hacked or gotten malware.. not that I’m all that important for that to happen anyway 😉. Hope that helps!

    If the modem was changed to 192.168.12.1 what was your router? I’m having issues with the pass through feature. My Synology seems to work fine but certain clients are getting weird addresses outside of the dchp range.

    • @helphq
      @helphq Месяц назад

      Router is in bridge mode and getting all ip addresses assigned via DHCP from the modem. This modem in particular also has ip pass through which is as close to bridge mode as you can get. If you choose to go that route then the router connected to the modem would assign all the ip addresses.

    • @brianstreet627
      @brianstreet627 Месяц назад

      @@helphq Thanks for the quick reply, you mean you have your modem in pass-though, not your router correct? I have the INSEEGO FX3100 in pass-through mode. My issue is that some of the wired devices are not getting the correct DHCP from my Synology and I didn't know if this was the result of some setting in the INSEEGO or if it is something weird that the Synology is doing, it has never had this issue before and the INSEEGO is the new equipment. But it was the easiest modem that I have ever owner to get bridge mode working.

    • @helphq
      @helphq Месяц назад

      So I don’t use this modem anymore. I used it for a limited window for the RUclips video. I use an invisagig 5g modem from haven technologies day to day. When I did use this modem I used it normally with no router attached and had no issues, I tried it in ip pass through mode and found that my speeds weren’t as good. I then tried it not in ip pass through mode and instead made my eero mesh system in bridge mode. Doing this will disable the router functionality and basically just use it as an access point. When I did this I also disabled the WiFi on the inseego. It worked fine doing this as well. One thing to note is this modem is not made to handle a household of 50 plus devices so if you’re trying to use it above the cap of I think 30 ish it will bog it down. The only thing I have plugged in via Ethernet is my synology NAS and it worked fine in any of the configurations. Obviously for the way you are setup you want your Ethernet devices plugged into your router and not your modem.

    • @brianstreet627
      @brianstreet627 Месяц назад

      @@helphq I appreciate your comments. I might try putting the INSEEGO back in charge and out of the pass-through mode then put the Synology mesh system in AP mode to see what happens. It could be that the Synology needs reset, I haven't tried that, it might be something weird going on with it hanging on to Frontier DSL settings. I simply have no clue as to where it is picking up this IP for my Apple TV when it is using ethernet, when it is on wifi it pulls an IP in the correct range and subnet.
