Hello, I actually had this information in the video but the original video exceeded 40 minutes. A full breakdown of how this feature works with the audible tone and readout on the front is covered in the Haven Technologies Amplimax Ultra Installation video. In an effort to reduce the overall length of the video we decided not to reiterate information already covered in depth by them and focus on how well the device works. Is it weatherproof?

It’s a Modified Sine Wave inverter. Thanks for watching! I wouldn’t recommend using a square wave inverter with electronics. They are cheaper but you run the risk of frying the electronic device plugged into the inverter.

I ran a speed test, got about 50% Higher download and almost double the upload. Idk if it's because the time of day, 5:30am on a Sunday. or if it's because I disabled to 2.4g and lowered the 5g power to 50%. Can't disable the 5ghz.. I have the G4AR model.

Yeah disabling the WiFi is just those that either just don’t want to use WiFi or are trying to use their own router. The WiFi from each device will conflict with one another and lower its performance.

2.4Ghz is inherently slower than 5Ghz. That being said turning the power down isn’t going to make your speeds faster. If anything it will just make them slower depending how far away from the device you are. Some devices like printers, ring cameras..etc only support 2.4Ghz so personally I would leave it on. 5G home internet is very subjective to location, time of day, tower congestion..etc.

Yeah I use an eero mesh system. No issues. The t-life app in itself will still work but the T-Mobile home internet section of the app is going to show your gateway as not connected to the network. This is a recent update. Up until the latest update of the t-life app I could still see how much data I used and everything else associated with the home internet service. That being said the internet service itself still works fine.

If the lens works when you have it attached to your camera then the contacts on the cap are not touching, you have a bad cap or a bad usb cable, or the port on your computer is faulty. Have you tried disconnecting everything and restarting your computer. Then reconnecting everything? Sounds dumb but if you haven’t rebooted your computer in a while it may resolve the issue.

In theory this would work, but if the head unit doesn’t have the ability to download the text now app to send a text message or make a phone call once a month the SIM card will be deactivated and you would lose your phone number. You’re correct. I have never paid for anything beyond the SIM card and my service is still working fine. I do think the ads are getting more aggressive in the text now app meaning they require you to interact with them to be able to close them. The service in itself is still free though.

Copying the file is all you need to do to update it. The file itself is the new firmware and when you copy it to the lens it replaces the old firmware.

You can set bootcamp up after cloning but if you already have it setup all of the data will copy but the windows partition will no longer be bootable.

The turbo button will clear the cache on the router. The easy way to explain it is it’s similar to closing apps on your phone. Most people have a lot of apps open at the same time which eats up memory and slows the phone down. When you close all of these apps it frees that memory up and your phone is now more responsive and works better. This is similar only instead of apps running on the device it stores cache about the websites you’ve visited and devices that connected to the router. Clearing this frees up memory and allows the router to perform better. This isn’t something you need to do every day. It’s more of a long term thing meaning you’d probably only need to do it every couple of months or so.

They’ve updated the firmware on the device to not allow you to turn off the WiFi anymore. The only way to get around this now is to use a third party gateway (Nexpro, Invisagig..etc)

You should be able to pair it to a Bluetooth speaker without any issue. The dongle doesn’t know what it’s pairing too, so you should be able to put both devices in pairing mode and it would work fine.

Unfortunately I don’t have a list of compatible devices. It in theory is supposed to work with any Bluetooth headphones. I’ve only tested these with a pair of AirPods and my Logitech headphones I use on my PC. That being said many people have reported that the device as of lately isn’t working well. I’m not sure if the company is sourcing cheaper parts since the video was originally made. Just something to think about before purchasing.

I don't have a way to test this in the manner in which you want to use it without creating another Gmail account. That being said I was able to turn Wi-Fi off on the text now phone that I am NOT paying for data on. I was able to see the location of my family in Google maps on this device. So in theory it should work in the reverse order.

I also have BOSE curious too. Mine sounds good - which speaker did you blow? I have one for the rear door that I thought was blown, but it was the connection at the door pillar that was faulty. Bought a new GM speaker online for 80.00.

I've never heard the Bose system in these trucks and I don't want to give you bad advice. They are night and day better over the non-bose speakers.

The Nokia is a solid gateway. I wish they would come out with a newer model updated with more 5G bands.

I apologize you’re having all these issues. I did state in the video that this did not work for me BUT this is what their support told me to do to resolve this issue. I’m only sharing information. I hope you were able to get it resolved. These gateways in particular are junk. Recommend moving to a newer orbi unit or another brand entirely.

Sorry just saw this. The unit is loud. It has a built in amplifier, that being said I didn’t put it my vehicle. It does have the “loud” feature that you can turn on or off that bumps everything up. It also has two different built in EQs. Overall I don’t think it sounds bad. It made the factory speakers sound much better. It was installed in a family members vehicle so I can’t test anything for you at the moment.

The unit does get loud. Unfortunately the manufacturers of these Chinese android head units do not provide any specifications on the output in watts or RMS.

The new antenna has a new build but the internals to the antenna are the same. The new antenna uses SMA connectors which are smaller and it has a new redesigned mounting system. I was able to get better speeds on the new antenna compared to the old one because of this new mount. It is so much more adjustable.

In my opinion I think you're going to get better ping and speeds with your 4x4 so long as it is probably adjusted. This one is omnidirectional but it doesn't have the same power as a 4x4 directional antenna. Unless the tower that is behind your 4x4 has better bands it probably won't have the effect you're looking for. If your tower is close enough you'll likely see similar metrics with this one compared to the 4x4.

The feature is only available if you are on big sur or later. Prior to big sur it isn't required.

I suspect they've updated the firmware on the gateway to not allow you to turn off both bands. You'd need to replace your T-Mobile provided gateway with a third-party one to resolve this issue.

This issue can occur due to various reasons, including: Incorrect destination path: Double-check that you’ve entered the correct path to the destination volume in CCC’s settings. Volume not mounted: Ensure that the destination volume is properly mounted and accessible on your Mac. You can do this by clicking the “Eject” button next to the volume in the Finder or using the “Disk Utility” app to verify the volume’s status. Volume issues: Corrupted or damaged volumes can prevent CCC from accessing the destination. Run Disk Utility to check and repair any issues with the destination volume. Permission problems: Verify that you have the necessary permissions to write to the destination volume. You may need to adjust permissions or use a different user account to access the volume. Hardware issues: Faulty or malfunctioning hardware, such as a failing or dead external hard drive, can cause CCC to report a “destination drive missing” error. It's hard to say exactly why it's doing it without seeing your setup, but hopefully that helps you check some stuff.

I finally suceeded by selecting the restore option from the main drive to the ssd and than booted from the ssd. Much faster! So glad I did it...
