Insane work, Was the slow shutter shot in the beginning shot with the pyxis or did you add the slow shutter effect in post?
@@kritsfn Shot directly in Camera!
your work is insane, looking forward to more!
@ Wow thanks for the kind comment! More to come hopefully 🙌🏼
Beautiful work
Thanks 🙏
How did you do the flash transition at 0:09m
@@TheElier05 Just a random preset overlay!
@PLArseneau Did you create the overlay or did you purchase it online? Im trying to create that flash transition
@ I believe I purchaed it online maybe 5+ years ago now. But they are quite available online now, sometimes for free. You just need to tweak them in post a bit to your liking.
@@PLArseneau By any chance do you remember where did you purchase it. I havent been able to find any online
@ I don't no :( maybe Sam Kholder pack?
Beautiful. Curious to what lens(es) you used?
Only one lens! Laowa 7.5mm MFT CINE T2.1
@PLArseneau thank you :) keep up the good work!
My Father_inlaw gifted me some Canon FD Lenses L version. and they have been collecting dust, until I saw videos how good they are on modern cameras. gonna try them on my pyxis. great video
@@cam16film Oh man are they ever! Some of my favourite lenses to shoot with on modern sensors.
It’s funny how a lot cameras cost 5k to look like this
@@Newvision-ck9cr I did so many comparaisons with my Alexa Mini at the time of ownership and tbh, it was the closest thing to the alexa in terms of texture, color depth and maluable footage.
@@PLArseneau yeah this is my first camera ever need to find that love again , i like what you did here too not going too overboard on the emulation lets the sensor really shine they need this in a ursa format with a 2k sensor
Awesome work!
@@crabfilms4031 thanks 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I don't usually put comments on youtube video but when watching, I thought you did an incredible job overall. congrats!
@@MultiSCAD yio! That's means a lot to me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the vid 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Keep coming back to this. So nicely done!
me too. He captured more meaning in 21 seconds than people do in thousands of hours of footage.
This looks incredible. I am asking the best pocket og shooters that I find: what ISO do you generally shoot at for exteriors? Does it change based on prevalence of highlights?
@@davidbayne8474 thanks! I usually shoot at higher iso with the pocket. 800 outdoors. Sometimes higher.
What frame rate and shutter angle ?
@@warlxrdz 24p and 180*
how was the shot at 0:13 filmed? looks like a drone or a high height stabilizer shot but i just wanted to know for sure

You did some nice shots here. I have many interesting FD lenses (including 55 f1,2 SSC) and they are so funny to use. I hope I will find 17mm f4, this is lens I would love to use.
@@my_visual_playground Thanks! They're very fun lenses. I have a set of Leica R that I mostly use for my work but I want to incorporate the FDs again as much as possible!
@@PLArseneau Wow you are so lucky 🤣 I started this channel few days ago as a place where I can show videos from various gear combos. Unfortunately I have only crop camera now, but have plan to buy some full frame (Canon or Panasonic) to explore and show full potential of these awesome lenses.
Solid work.

wow which lens is at 0.06s? that lens flare is insanely gorgeous!

bro this is great - did you get inspiration by a video from random golf club by chance ?
@@kylemorgan740 Hey thanks! Not sure which one you're refering too, but perhaps! These little videos were actually a series so 3 others are in a similar style but for other sports.
nice! may I ask why u used three different cam systems? I know each has it's own advantages but why not stick to one manufacturer?
@@alphafilms_at Hey! This was initially meant to be a multi format piece. We actually shot with 6 cameras. But the vision eventually died and I decided to still edit some of our footage into a cohesive piece. So that's how that happened!

the sweat shot was on the 12mm??
@@mesmerizevisual7351 yes! In 4k super35 open gate.
@ how do you like super 35 on it? I’m going to use it a lot because I need the higher frame rate but I’m worried about how usable the image will be
@ Very usable. I sometimes prefer it to FF open gate. I like S35's sensor size.
@@PLArseneau I really liked the super 35 look on the pockets but I fear that it won't have the same look cropped in on the Pyxis so I've been testing it a lot to compare

The wide angle shot dripping sweat is so sick!
I think it's my favourite too!
@@PLArseneau which camera was used for the dripping sweat shot and the running scenes at blue hour?
@ BMCC 6k!
@@PLArseneau wow stunning! Love also the grain, was that added in post or there is any filtration?
@ lots of grain in post yup! No filtration on the day :)
editing and everything was awesome. except the lens quality looks a little cheap in certain cuts. was it a plastic lens? Oh i see you posted the gear used. maybe it was the canon lens I noticed. not the greatest glass unfortunately. but over all good job guys.
@@BobbaFett-v7f hey thanks for the comment! I have to say I did add a lot of "dirtiness" in post here. Softness, halation, grain and glow. Which can all make a lens seem that way.
@@PLArseneau the shot where she is looking down into the camera lens and sweating till the end. the character of the lens vanished and seem plain. before that cut it was awesome. coloring, lighting all top notch. maybe you can do a re-edit and see if you can match it all in the clips if you have spare time? be interesting to see.
@ I personally don't feel that way about that shot, it was shot on a DZO 12mm. I'll say that maybe what you're seeing is that we used the cropped sensor instead of the FF open gate for that one and you're associating the smaller sensor look with "cheaper looking" perhaps? Or maybe it the lighting (gloomy day)?
It's also worth nothing that there was a piece of plexiglass infront of the lens to allow for sweat drips without damaging anything.
@@PLArseneau maybe its the plexiglass that changed it than
