    I would definitely sell the current model x and lease the new one. Tesla made a ton of upgrades to it and it will continue to get better with OTA updates. In terms of the Model S replacement, I would recommend getting the new Model 3 if you don't need the larger Model S. Hope this was helpful for you.

    Did a similar round trip from Portland to Santa Clara last week. Took just under 12 hours nonstop on my Tesla Model 3 2019. I did the same trip last year and I must admit it was a little tiring but Autopilot helped a lot. Your video reminded me of the scenery and the 3 mountain ranges one had to drive through. I did stop at Corning too. Nice work…

      @@pucaslife It is quite good. I have done numerous trips to Palm Springs and Las Vegas over the years and it has been quite comfortable. I always remove my “fat” wallet and house keys from my pockets and it helps for the long drives. One thing I recommend is to have the whole car covered with a paint protection film. It is truly a car lifesaver.

      Do you need it to go further than 300 miles? If you go 70 miles per hour, it would take you about 4.2 hrs to go that distance. I for one, would want to stretch my back and go to the rest room. There is no way, I could go that long without stopping.

      @@pucaslifemy Model 3 Performance is the best road trip car of my life. I'm in Florida now from Minneapolis and will go up the East Coast all the way up to and around Newfoundland. That being said, while the Superchargers perform extremely well and are convenient to find along the route, they don't provide important amenities well. For the restroom that you mentioned you have to be lucky to be next to a business that doesn't mind you using it. They really should have at least a small convenience kiosk with a porta potty if they don't want to install full restrooms at every stop.

    Hi! I did a noise test of the 2024 Model S Plaid with 21" wheels, and at 50mph (80km/h) I got 66db with Decibel X app at the db(a) setting. I felt like the car was not so quiet, but I guess the 21" wheels are not helping... I do not know if ANC was active in the testcar or not.

    • @pucaslife
      @pucaslife 11 дней назад

      Michelin pilot 2 sport. However, given the weight of the EV, I noticed that these only last about 18,000 miles or so with the way I drive. Also, the car is extremely heavy which makes him very down. I'm also not very good at keeping the psi regulated year-round, especially in the winter when the air pressure drops just because of the temperature. I think proper wear and tear. You'll probably get about 20,000 miles out of the tires. Maybe 22,000 miles.

    Wife and I have a 2022 RWD Model 3 and a 2023 Model X Plaid. The 3 has the round wheel and I really like it. in our X, the yoke just makes more sense. I never knew all those years driving a ICE car with a round wheel, the top of it was cutting off much of the instrument cluster. Nowadays with the amount of data you'll see with that display, it's much better with a yoke. Sure, low speed maneuvers can be cumbersome but we "drive" for hours and hours on the interstates with FSD and it's a non-issue. I've been contemplating trading up for a Model S but the 3 is just a pocket rocket and a blast to drive. Am adult-sized GoKart, if you will. Touch decisions, I know. Haha. Great video.

      Hard to say, the model S was near perfect in every aspect. Although we really enjoyed the model X for the over eight years we've had it. I think it's just at the end of its life with over 85,000 miles on it. The car is still running perfectly, but I just get very worried that something might go wrong and be a very expensive bill for us. Your new car should be a Tesla. Avoid the Model X. The Model 3 is too small for you (I'm on my second one, single, retired, living well). That leaves another S or a Y. I would pick the Y for more interior room and cargo space. Spend some of the savings on some after-market extras (PPF, mud flaps, and interior conveniences that suit you).

    • @pucaslife
      @pucaslife 11 дней назад

      Excellent idea! Right now it is between the model Y and the model X. Although I really like the promotional incentive, they have for the model Y. I think we're leaning in that direction right now, I will certainly keep you guys posted. If the model X had any promotional incentives, I would probably move towards that, however, it's near twice. The price is the model Y. Given the model Y is likely going to get upgraded next year, I think they're driving super hard promotions right now.

      @pucaslife Месяц назад

      Great question, we are on our 3rd pair and I'm turning the car in very soon (lease return). However, given I haven't spent a dime on hardly anything else with the car. I don't mind, but in general, Tessa's are horrible on tire wear. My advice is make sure you constantly monitor the PSI, and keep it within a safe range. Anything below will certainly wear your tires down significantly faster which is where I made a mistake over the last three years since I've had this car. I think in general if you're safe and you monitor your tires really well you probably only need to get one additional set over the course of three years.

    Hello! I’m guessing it’s not possible to see the feed on the driver side dash? That would be a bit easier while driving. My genesis does it that way

    So funny that they blame the weight. Like cars didn't weigh over 5000 in the past.

      I think we only do that, because most tires are made for average gasoline cars that way considerably less. So when a car weighs a good third more than the average gasoline car, it has a different effect on the tires. The big learning experience for me was actually not the way to the car, but the fact that I need to always keep constant, appropriate air pressure in the tires. That in itself would obviously be negative affected by gasoline cars as well, however, I learned it through an EV that’s a bit harder on tires.
