Our first update to FSD Beta 12 is here! I drive the brand new FSD Beta 12.2.1 short 15m drive. A much more natural driving experience. To me it feels HUGE improvement.
Set the speed offset up if you want it to be a certain percentage above the speed limit. Also you only need to hit the right scroll wheel once to enter autopilot - thats why you disengaged it at the start of the video
Thanks for doing these videos Puca! I finally got me a 2022 MS LR, and i love it! I subscribed to the monthly FSD after i got the car, but don’t think I’ll stay subscribed. FSD frustrates me most of the time. Note that i am still on FSD v11.4.9 as of posting this. I just did a road trip from Menifee to Fresno, CA this past weekend, and it seems like whenever you have to apply “slight force” to the steering yoke to let it know that you are paying attention, you have to put so much force on the wheel almost to the point where you will disengage autopilot. I would love to try out FSD beta V12 though.
Try using the scroll wheels. That will also satisfy the Autopilot Nag (just scroll up then down on the volume). I've been subscribed to FSD for a while now and I love it.
Do you live in or near Ruby Hill? I live there and it was fun to see FSD driving the same route I take almost daily. I have a 2024 Model S LR on order and should be receiving it in a couple of weeks. Haven't ordered the FSD yet as will be getting it free for 3 months. Will decide whether its worth it for me or not. But looking at this video it looks like I might end up getting it.
I wonder if this is because it was trained on videos of humans manually controlling their speed. Tesla may need to train it using simulations with constant speed.
The tires do wear considerably faster than standard ICE cars, given the weight of EVs. Therefore, it's critical to keep the correct PSI in each tire to get the proper lifetime out of each tire.
@@pucaslife Yeah that’s consistent with what I’ve heard. Did you have to install aftermarket camber and toe arms on yours? I hear the inner sidewall wears easily because of excess toe setting from the factory.
next update hopefully we see 13:45..when it is still thinking like human to just go slow and not jerk the wheel. Human would not jerk wheel like that. please report. We need smooth steering wheel movement..just inch/creep with FSD voice intent on, "looking to make turn".. just go very slow creep. as long no jerky stuff, FSD will be chosen by the masses!!! Please recommend FSD voice intent
Not sure how they are deploying it, but my guess is it's going out to San Francisco Bay Area people first. I think they are distributing based on cities they have migrated to quickly because of the fleet of Teslas in the area.

Agreed, making huge improvements. Version 12 is by far the best I’ve used so far. Not perfect, but it’s better than anything I’ve heard about that’s on the road.
Actually I hear it quite a bit, but it's usually people who have never driven in one. Once they get a ride in one their tune changes pretty fast. The videos are all over utube.

It does not update Autopilot, which is a separate software stack. It DOES update Full Self Driving (FSD). It’s important to make that distinction.

It would be nice to see the FSD visualization vs the satellite map view to give u an indication of what the FSD system is seeing or not seeing.
I need to figure out a way to work that both in the video editing process.

You should enable the auto max speed setting.
It’s not perfect, but it’s better than fiddling with the speed all the time.

Yes, I think once you train yourself on how FSD works, everything will feel better. But V12 is a significant upgrade.

does the FSD recognize speed limit signs in school zones?
Yes, it reads speed signs no matter where you’re at. So around school it will read those as well.
For people who complain about conditions being to good, there are lots of videos done at night and in crazy traffic.
Yes, rain and night do effect the quality of FSD
When will it be available in europe?
No idea, that is a great question for Tesla. I did Google search for you. And they only mention it will come in time.
