It is a testament to the efficiency of the Tesla that you can cruise above 80 mph and yet have no anxiety regarding availability of reliable and effective charging at the amazing Tesla Supercharger stations. Great question, we are on our 3rd pair and I'm turning the car in very soon (lease return). However, given I haven't spent a dime on hardly anything else with the car. I don't mind, but in general, Tessa's are horrible on tire wear. My advice is make sure you constantly monitor the PSI, and keep it within a safe range. Anything below will certainly wear your tires down significantly faster which is where I made a mistake over the last three years since I've had this car. I think in general if you're safe and you monitor your tires really well you probably only need to get one additional set over the course of three years.
