How did your range session go? I equipped a Stark SE-5 and Holosun 503GU, with a Elzetta Alpha w/ high/low tail cap to mine. >650 rounds through so far with 0 issues. Including some under powered (noticeable) Freedoms Arms reloads and >20 year old, very corroded federal ammo.
@@TexZenMaster I didn't make it out this part weekend but will definitely go this coming weekend because not only will I have my EP9 with the FF3 but I will also have my PX4 Storm compact that I'll be picking up from my FFL on Thursday or Friday.
I run a set of H&K SL8 iron sights on mine and their PERFECT. Right height for the gun, really compliments the look of the gun.

Why not just mount light on the charging handle side and turn light on with support thumb?
Not enough space for comfortable hold. I might out the pressure panel there. Or just change the type of light
Have you considered the linear compensator from Kaw Valley Precision?
I have but so far do not see a reason for change.
Have one on mine and it is much more enjoyable to shoot, especially in a covered shooting station.

Can you install a law tactical folding adaptor on the ep9?
doubt it, it does not use a regular buffer tube.
Practical Weapons dang , that really sux, almost kills it for me .
I kind of like this brace config, but if you wanted a really short one, with folding brace - EP9 is most likely not the thing.

I attached a mini LED light on the bottom pic rail, next to a vertical hand grip (Tommy gun style front grip.)
I cannot put a vertical grip on a pistol... Darn those nfa laws

Since posting this, have you experimented with open sights only? I just received my EP9 a week or so ago, shot a bit (& love it!), and have another being delivered day after tomorrow. I have a cheap Pinty reflex mounted now, and it works fine, but dots can sometimes be a smeared starburst to my aged astigmatism-ravaged eyeballs. I'm thinking a ghost-ring rear and FO front might be just the ticket for social work. Absent any other sight, I'd prefer NON-folding, which seems to be difficult to find at an Extar-appropriate price. 🤣
I have since installed an excellent Bushnell lil prism sight and it works great. No irons on the EP9 right now

I had one so far with light primer strike, but it was Wolf ammo - possibly not the gun's fault. Maybe 700 rounds in as of now

I have one and it doesn’t like aluminum or steel case ammo. Run brass and you’ll shoot all day, no issues. Also, you can buy KCI mags for half the price of glock mags. They work well and no issues. Hope this helps.
@@phxlt1994 EP9 does not feed steel case? Mine loves wolf (never tried Tula, amen). I have never used aluminum cased ammo.
Pull the brace back from the qd mount so it will give you room

I ordered a QD swivel sling mount for mine, but it's a little too big to plug into the slot on the gun. Am I doing something wrong? Do these come in different sizes, or is there a female adapter that needs to be installed first?
I had to fight to plug it in a little, there is an angle for "insertion" that works.

I run the same sight and light on mine. I have a rail in the other side that I put the switch on and I run a magpul afg 2. I also run a linear comp.
i am about to install that 2nd rail this weekend. For the linear comp - which one do you run?

What kind of scope? I watched and rewatched and could not make out the brand.
Erin James monstrum tactical 1x prism. It’s the only 1x prism I could find for under $200. It goes for $85. It’s a great optic for the price. The only complaint I have is the turrets have terrible feedback and audible click.

Its cannot be changed to lefty. But I've heard you can get a 3rd party trigger group that allows safety swap

Got one last month, if you try Monday Wednesday and Fridays that's how I got mine, had it my cart and by the time I entered my info it was gone so I pre entered my info and Wednesday I was to get one, hope this helps also remember Extar is Arizona so 2 hour time difference
GO on the extar sight M-W-F as many times as your schedule permits and each time hit the refresh button numerous times. At some point it will catch you by surprise but it will say in stock. Have your FFL and credit card ready because by the time I was done ordering mine they were sold out again.
I contacted their customer support and was told the M W F thing is not anything purposeful but may be how it works out. Essentially, when they come available, they go on the site in very small batches. So it could be anytime - i got mine by refreshing quite a bit. Do create an account beforehand and have all your stuff ready - they go fast!

The handguard looks pretty... bulky (fat?)... is there any aftermarket solution?

@@JayyBird93 I was planning on ordering one of these myself, but once the gun arrived and I've had the opportunity to shoot it, the original forend doesn't bother me, even with my short fingers. I may still make the switch, we'll see.

Customer service is worthless at Extar. They won't honor the warranty. About 500 rounds through the gun and the firing pin binds in the bolt causing light strikes. It's useless now because I used reman ammo. Like anyone can afford new ammo for the range
Is that a camera or a gun? Just don't drop it... For real tho, too many accessories. A good sight and maybe a light, is all you need. Use the dark as cover and you won't need a light attachment.

WHILE.. its a great gun - its ALSO (confirmed directly) NOT +P RATED - like "any" of PSA's "FREEDOM" line or Foxtrot MIke (FM-equivalent) Line. Personally - I dont have the $$$ or time to waste on a "kiddie" toy - I want a REAL WEAPON!! SO - I nixed the EXTAR for a REAL WEAPON! I went with a FM 9! INCREDIBLE WEAPONS!!
Which model of fm9 did you get? Thanks for +p info, did not even consider checking that before.
I'm not too worried about +P. By time the standard pressure round leaves the longer barrel, it'll probably be at (or above) +P velocity anyway.
