3 days in ice rain, building a pyramid…..That pyramid is something to be proud of & a symbol. Mindset, discipline, & keeping you…balanced. We all need that simplicity, like a tire, if a tire on your car is not balanced, your steering wheel shakes & will burn that rubber down….maybe cause you to crash & burn. Live & learn, stay balanced & eyes on the prize. Stay balanced & as always, thank you for sharing.

Like you said, if you can find happiness in a place like hauling rocks in freezing France, you can find happiness anywhere. Wow! This made me think of all the pissy pants times I had as a free man. There should be no pissy pants days as a free man... I can look at myself now and see my growth. Thanks, Taylor.

When I was training for the Teenage Mr America with a former Mr. Universe named Pete Kuetsagarus I asked him one morning why we had to get up at 4am every day and train at 5 am? I mean I was 19 and thought, he owns the gym we can train when ever we want? He told me something that stuck, he said, we train at 5am because none of the guys you are competing against are doing it. I didn't really understand what he meant till later. I was hoping just to crack the top 5. The best Teenagers in the country were all going to be there. I ended up winning and after that I understood what he meant.

Killing myself laughing here, especially with the "swagger and flair bit". One of the things I noticed in my time in the British Army was that those who lived for bullshit absolutely hated it when it was done by those they knew hated bullshit. Used to see guys iron parts of uniform that shouldnt be ironed because they thought it made them look the part, give me strength. A ramrod march in to the Sgt Majors or OCs office and slamming in to attention causing stuff to fall off cabinets etc always caused max confusion as they knew you werent that type of soldier. Reverse psychology, ha ha. Keep 'em coming Cav...

That kind of behavior (manic screaming) is most closely associated with clinical narcissism. It has a name, "Narcissistic Rage" and goes hand in hand with poor emotional control and that "you never know what you are getting with them" kinda feeling. I now have an MS degree in psych, so now I know I have worked for a handful of narcissists who have made my life (at times) miserable.

"You never knew what emotional response you were going to get from him on any given day" and the emotional rage outburst when setting TCAV to his tasks. I have been yelled at in boot camp and OCS, and there is a difference between punishment and punishment served up with a healthy dose of rage & emotional abuse.

At Fort Knox the drill sergeants of the other platoon would sometimes take charge of our platoon and would take that time to come down hard on us for whatever f****** reason they can make up. One particular time Drill Sergeant Powers decided to smoke our platoon and after being in the front lending rest position for an hour and a half no joke seriously an hour and a half I did not break though everyone else in the class broke I never fell down he got exhausted waiting on me to break and he gave up because he felt like he had better s*** to be doing than wasting our f****** time carrying on some kind of stupid rant.

So smart boy here decided to tag onto a cadre of 12 marching to the mess hall
15 ft from safety I got spotted by one of the drill sergeants

We broke rocks and painted them red and yellow once they were down to golf ball size. 30 days was max punishment. We had a hammer called sister sledge, a big sledgehammer with a short handle. We were called wayward Marines, lol. It was hell then, it's funny as heck today. Thank you for the flashback to that time, I had forgotten about it until now, seems even more laughable as time passed and hearing your experience.

I don’t know if you will even see this, but I’m going to send this with the intention of maybe someone else can benefit from it. When I was at a very dark place, (if not THE darkest) I was thinking of the unthinkable with a G19 in my hand. I put it down thinking about my wife & family & what that selfish act would do to them. Then, I picked up my phone & went “surfing” on RUclips. I saw one of your videos & my first impression was “who is this fucking tool?”, lol. Well Taylor, watching your video literally pulled me back from the abyss of my own darkness. I listened to your story & I PHYSICALLY felt pressure leaving my body. Listening to what you’ve lost (my best friend was a SEAL so I have a basic understanding of how important being a SEAL is & how devastating it must be if you fuck yourself out of your Trident. BTW he died in 2007 non combat, long story). Anyway, sitting there wallowing in my own self pity felt so infinitesimal compared to what you lost by fucking & then un fucking yourself. I felt ashamed & embarrassed & a whole lot more. Your video/videos gave me a “pause” button to push at one of the most critical moments of my life & forced me to self reflect. Not to sound corny or cringe, but, Taylor you saved my life at a moment that would have ended it. Now, I give all glory to Jesus Christ for everything I had/have up to that day & to this day. BUT, you were the “catalyst” for me to pause. Look, we are all only ONE bad decision away from death or prison. Sometimes all we need is a “pause button” to push so we can get a split second of clarity or reflection or guilt (the good kind) or ANYTHING to stop us from following thru that would devastate so many lives other than our own selfish life. Thank you for your message & thank you for saving one man’s life. I am light years ahead of that shell of a man who was on that couch that day. Thank you, again Taylor & Praise God.

Yes we are. And, thank you for responding. Quick questions: are you ever in Virginia Beach for training? Do you have a website that lays out training plans & cost for them? I’m not sure how to go about utilizing your service? Last question, do you have an email that I can reach you that’s not on RUclips?
