    I watched your vlog on moving to France from your house in England it was good. Thank You for explaining the type of anxiety you have I honestly didn't know there was different types. I agree with medication as the side effects can be really worrying and give you more illness to deal with. You must have clicked on sound at garden beds as it went off only silent video.

    How bizarre, I just assumed it was me and that I was different. I have never in my life heard of either term but OMG yes. Thank you.

      I am not reistered with any Doctor ( by choice ) and take no medication, I live an ideal life here on the farm with my husband in beautiful countryside with my animals in splendid isolation.
      Listening to you last night and hearing the words Hypervigilant and Over Catastrophisation for the first time was a total Wow moment. I played you back over to my husband who just looked at me and nodded.

    Hi Rob. Another great one. you’re a good strong man Rob and people appreciate how you are a straight talker which helps people who may have a hard time explaining how they feel. Thank you for that. I love seeing the kids run in the field. What a great life for them. I doubt the farmer gets this but the garden store sells a product that keeps flies off the horses face. So much progress all over the place. Odd that France has really thinned down paint. I wonder why they do that. The obvious answer is they make more money if you have to buy more paint to get the job done, but there has to me some other reason as well. It is great to see the floor is finally level and has the flooring down in Robbie's room. Seems like a busy job keeping up with the grass. It is a good think you have the time. A bit of music, a beer or two and mowing doesn't seem too bad. I think you'll get used to releasing every other day, it is just a new pattern. Great video as always, Laterz

    There is no point trying to explain anxiety to people without anxiety. I was diagnosed with OCD which people think is about neatness but it isnt, its always imagining the worst case scenario which for me then leads to a panic attack, so for example for me, if I think I have left my straightening irons plugged in I start to imagine the electric will blow, my house will set on fire, my dog will die. This leads to rituals I have to perform to make sure I have done stuff. I have learned to manage and use meditation to help. One thing I would say is dont seek mental health treatment in France, they still do electric shock treatment for depression (I had a client, I used to dog sit while she was having her electric shock treatment). I went to see a specialist and got locked in the drs office and they wanted to section me for my anxiety, I had to convince them I was going back to the UK to see a dr.
    On the paint point, if lidl ever have theirs for sale its excellent and so much cheaper and Action paint is also excellent and much cheaper, its all I use now, they do a white and an off white, about €13 for 10 litres, cos ye, french paint is just terrible 😢

    Liked the anxiety explanation, as per others did in the comments below, what I was/am interested in is, what triggers the anxiety over your youtube work specifically, and do you apply the same methods as you have described to manage the levels? For example, if you are worried about number of subscribers, do you apply the 'what is the worst that can happen if I start losing subs' and almost minimise the outcome, or is it more personal because you want to keep creating more content for more people to enjoy and find useful? I think regardless of the levels of anxiety that all people have, I think we can all learn a lot from what you have explained here bruv. Ha ha ha loved the Laterz being carved out into the lawn lol

    • @geraldineriverRiverever
      @geraldineriverRiverever 5 месяцев назад

      Sucking his comfort blanket could be related to the fact that is has been separated from his mother too young, and then lived in places that were not providing proper emotional care at the very least since he's a rescued dog (which is not rare is this brainy-intellectual culture, I am french from birth & education but lived in England among for years before coming back : emotional blockage-repression to the point of emptiness-void is the leading cause of constant negativity-pessimism, if not well-known short-tempered agressivity, in this low-vibration culture, so Vital advice : never forget to focus on what's positive for our well-being without denying the downs in life but anyway...self-honesty is the key....bear in mind that France is the n° 1 champion of "pets abandonment-neglect" in Europe among other glorious things, yes yes, 200 000 per year in shelters increasing each year, above other European countries, compared to only 16 000 in England per year, English being by far more caring & responsible). Your dog has an understandable emotional trauma that can be healed with patience, with love & care (plenty, which is sooo positive for everyone including you as well !) and also some natural remedies like : "Rescue Remedy for PETS" from Fleur de Bach, www.rescueremedy.com/en-ca/range/all-products/rescue-pet/ . You buy it in Pharmacie (any chemist in France sell it, even in the smallest in a village) or on internet as you want. Cheap yet efficient. It helps against stress-anxiety in putting just few drops in food on a daily basis but absolutely don't make the mistake to buy it for humans but for PETS as it is Alcohol-Free. It helps calming and reassuring beside loving him. I've been using it for years for rescued animals when needed like past traumas or any stressful situation (travel, removal, painful experience in the household that animals will feel to the fullest as well etc), as a passionate phytotherapist for both humans and animals myself (mainly animals, let's be honest, but humans are animals, isn't it ? Joke aside). I take plants myself to help me these days because of egomaniac if not paranoiac lack of self-control of french people : a hunter is killing through the whole year wild animals, deers mainly with horrific traps that are illegal in france for years, near where I live in the countryside....my dogs went in a wooden land at the edge of a walking path while walking and rolled there bodies onto something that smelled Hell then....I went to check and corpses of babies, small sized deers where starting to decompose....it was along a path that everyone take to walk, run, drive. I knew this guy that seemed "nice" but very fake, and asked him about it very calmly one day, he reacted in an explosive vulgarity and violence in screaming "dirty bitch" while I calmly said that it wasn't safe at least. If you keep your calm, they explode even more... no issue. Since that moment, in a very sneaky way, he cut all the trees on the wooden land that belongs to him in front on my garden knowing that we talked once about how Vital Nature is for our species to survive, thinking that he was a responsible hunter fully aware of climate change himself and above all, keeps killing my cats one after another which he's denying of course. Justice won't give a damn sh*t about it except for him to know, and get worse. French culture, sorry but Plain French : schizophrenic. Avoid them, to the utmost : just basic and necessary communication with almost all of them as it is not specific to "inbred retarded" in the countryside at all. French people are more than out-of-control negative beings to the rotten roots (emotionless narcissists filled with biases, resentment, jealousy, hate, frustration, conflict, rigidity, denied fears, etc) if you dare slightly questioning their illusory perfection : I know them too well from birth, and it's getting worse with each other because nobody wants to face their responsability, others' faults, always (Far-right is on its presidential way in this country...). Anyway, animals go in a magnificent place then that coward monsters will never experience for eternity. I'm not used to talk about myself but I needed to, now : it's a relief to get better whatever, knowing that most English are more emotionally evolved. So to come back to your dog : "Rescue Remedy for Pets" (Bach Flower), with the link above. Also, If he's alone during the day, another animal like another dog or a cat could be more than recommended. Like for us....there's always solutions if we search and want. Love & Care for you and your precious animals ! Ground, Relieve and Focus. Nature is just Everything, from survival to peace. I'll cuddle one of my cat who was dying on the road when found, happy cheeky she is now !
