I always enjoy hearing and watching Suzi on Guncranks. She’s very articulate, has a lot to add and seems very bright. She should an honorary crankette!
You guys were great and the fact you've shared so much together really shows and makes it so much more entertaining. Roy, maybe you and Suzi should start your own podcast!
Roy and Suz, THE TEAM!!! Y’all are a great combo!!! Thanks for coming to the rescue for Brent. As always, Brent needs all the help he can get!!! I really enjoy The Cranks and Crankets!!!
Great content, totally agree about situational awareness. When I taught CCW I used to use the analogy of you aren’t a cop but think like one. Loved the African story too! Love it when Suzi joins. She has lots of great insight.
Yellow = "relaxed awareness", not hyper vigilant, but aware of who's around you, the terrain, etc. It has the advantage of seeing and appreciating the world around you...the beauty, as well as the badness....
I’ve been blessed. I’ve copped and soldered for the last couple of decades, and I’m definitely a large mammal. I took a class with Daryl Bolke, Cecil Burch, and legendary lawman Chuck Haggard last year, and I wish I’d have had this class much earlier in my life. We had to deal manage unknown contacts, and there was some trigonometry level problem solving in the shooting portion. One thing was there there were some females in the class, but for the most part, they just were like the guys…but smaller….and one shot better than any of us. 😂
@@fmgpubs Roy, I think he credits you for taking him to his first shooting competition. I’ve really enjoyed classes with him. We have a relatively new training facility here in OK, called Meadhall Range. I’ve been to a couple of DB’s classes there, three with Steve Fisher, one with Chuck Pressburg, and an armorer’s class with Vang Comp. Bill Armstrong runs it, and he’s a great guy. You and Suzi should come over and check it out if you have not been.
Great discussing, spot on, makes you think , need to be aware of your surroundings. One this I’m better Suzy does not own a little cutie pink handgun,,,,but is she does, please post a photo 😳😳😳 You guys did a great job, let the sick , well that’s what he said just before firing up the BBQ , I take the Fifth
Howdy, Roy & Suzi! I'm 6 - 5 and nearly 300 lbs. I rarely thought of my size as being an advantage in a fight because I am not a fighter (and even less of one at age 71). That said, I remember a couple times being challenged to a fight until I got out of the car I was in and stood up. The fellow who was yelling at me rolled up his window and drove off. By the way, I enjoy hearing from Suzi now and then. Thanks and happy Labor Day!
It is a LIFESTYLE, not just a "when I'm carrying" thing... if you don't live it, then DON'T CARRY. I may sound paranoid, but I refuse to be in the "victim" mindset.
In general, police like to see your eyes ( because it can be an indicator with respect to one's physiology) like for example, if the suspect is stoned or even what part of their brain is being accessed while they answer the questions being put to them. So, while they recall a scenario, their eyes might go up & to the right or up & to the left. With respect to the Use of Force continuam ( it varies with respect to police, corrections, border agents & the average citizen. But on average, if you have to use force (make sure you have the authority & are justified to do so in your specific incident /case) As a citizen, it's always a good idea to (i.e., error to the side of Caution & only use a level of force that it equal to what force is being posed to you). Because the use of actual: ●batons, pepper sprays & ●electrical shock devices, aka taser/stun batons, are either restricted or prohibited for use by the general public. Now with that said, if I personally was faced with z potential home invasions by a guy with a hand gun. I'd grab a bat & wait around a corner he has to pass, while I'd instruct my wife to grab her shot gun. And load it with a beanbag round followed by a rubber bullet & finally either a slug or 000 buck shot.

I think she already is an honorary Crankette … I promise we’ll invite her more! Roy
You guys were great and the fact you've shared so much together really shows and makes it so much more entertaining. Roy, maybe you and Suzi should start your own podcast!
Shhh … don’t say that, then they’ll want us to! But it is an interesting idea … Roy
Thanks to you both,,
And thank you Steve for touching base with us! Roy
This was great! Yes come back together, it was fantastic! Informative and fun, thank you!
I’m always just a bit afraid when Suzi’s on! But we’ll do more. If there is something you’d like her thoughts on, speak up. Roy
Yes. Please bring Suzy back. She's always a delight, as are you, Roy. Cheers! Splice.
Hi Brian, thanks for your kind words. Suzi is keeping tabs on the comments so I imagine she’ll say hi. Roy
Always love Suzy, and show how you guys interact! MORE, PLEASE!!
Watch for a podcast with Suzi talking about when she worked security on the Oscars red carpet ... it'll be out this week I think. Roy
You folks did an awesome job! With real world advice thanks
Appreciate your kind words sir! Roy

Hi Richard. I’ll tell Suzi you said hi. Roy
A good couple for a Take Over event!
Take-Over is Suzi’s middle name …. Roy
Alway Wonderful to hear from Miss Suzi.
She is the Reason we all want to be Roy Huntington when we Grow Up!
I guess that means I have to grow up now? Trust me when I say she’s a full time job …. Roy
🤓
Well, She IS Female!
(DUCKING lest I incur the Wrath of Miss Suzi!)
What is that old saying?
Growing older is Mandatory.
Growing UP is Optional!
Yes, please have Suzi on the show more often - as often as she would like! Thoroughly enjoyed this episode!
Don’t encourage her Larry! But I suspect she’ll be back soon. She was just telling me she has something to churn the about … Roy
I enjoy Roy and Suzy together. Great show!
It’s ‘cause she wins all the time …. Roy
You two would go well with Tom McHale. Always happy to see Suzi

I’m old friends with Daryl and he does know his stuff. Plus he’s easy to get along with. Classes are often worth their weight in gold for sure. Roy

Hi Bill … you’re right, no pink for Suzi. But she does carry a nice Robin’s Egg Blue Hellcat and shoots it pretty darn well! Roy

Being 6-5 and 300 I suspect you’re in decent shape. Being 5-8 and 300 is another matter! Suzi’s keeping tabes on comments so she’ll see yours. Roy

At least Brent wasn’t Whining about his knee again!
