See, he was smart enough to not show up to be in a forknife crossover. That is a good move, bc this is a phenomenal concept... If it wasn't linked to forknife... If be all over this!

See if this was a game that could be a funny easter egg but or maybe they could put it in the end credits as a cast role
1. Dracula's sacrifice ~ A fang.
2. Werewolf's sacrifice ~ A claw.
3. Mummy's sacrifice ~ Her Life energies.
4. Bride of Frankenstein ~ A lock/braid of hair.
I feel like the Bride's sacrifice was not quite equal to the other Monsters crew... *;p*
Bride of Frankenstein is connected to Frankenstein's Monster, perhaps that's why. Less needed I guess?

Look closely: The fang and claw both grew back, and neither monster minded the sacrifice. Looks like tge value was roughly equal, at least to them.

If it wasn't linked to Fortnite I'd definitely want to get this as it's own game. Character designs are great, voice acting was superb. A video game based on the universal monsters would be fun.

This has the potential to be a stand-alone RPG or a full length film. The story is unique, the monsters of diverse origins and the with action scenes given a fine tuning.

Now why couldn't Universal invest in a concept like this for their Universal Monsters CU? This is a fresh enough take and with the right creatives behind it could definitely compete with any other Cinematic Universe franchise.

they did, and I'm not talking about the dark universe, technically Universal are the first people to do this whole cinematic universe, like their older movies had a full on monster universe where they would all interact with each other, it's kinda cool to look back on.
So can we get this as an actual movie. I feel like this has more potential than anything the Universal has done with the monster universe recently.
That isn't saying much, sadly. Still, if they turned this concept into a movie, I'd be totally on board with that!
To be honest? I was usally more into their DreamWorks movie called The Bad Guys since the little Piranha guy is my favorite.

Sorry, but I have to say: Fortnite skins with the classic black and white movie look are superior to the modern skins in this video, in fact it was a disappointment that Frankenstein's bride didn't have the classic look with a dress.

I actually thought it was, but it's not. Totally, agree 💯💯...it could be a game or a Amazon Prime series. Just think of it right beside The Boys...brilliant. Maybe, a straight to 4k cartoon movie like DC Animated, they can go either way and I still support this new Universal Monster genre

Even tho I'm not a fan of the Universal Monsters new look, The Wolfman is the closest one to his traditional look. Plus I appreciate the walking cane from the 1941 Wolfman movie to be in this.

I like what you did with The Wolf Man! He's a combination of the Werewolf of London 1935 film and The Wolf Man 1941, both designed by The Legendary Jack Peirce

@@ironworksproduction2566 As Nich said, the Mummy was a big costing blockbuster that absolutely bombed, at least in the US, and the word is it was largely because Tom Cruise had massive control over the direction of the movie and turned it to focus on his character in the movie. Who knows it could have bombed if he didn't have control as well, but I'm just saying don't expect the Monsterverse/Dark Universe to come out because Universal owns the rights to them so it's not like some other studio can simply make them.
While I don't like this short I like how Epic Games is taking active steps to build up the idea that Fortnite's island has access to all of the Omniverse, and that any and all realities can be connected to it and influenced by it.
Its pretty meta too cayse its technically true. I gues they realized how much impa t they have and decided to be connected to literally everything they can

In the original novel by Bram Stoker, Dracula can walk in the day. The only disadvantage for him is his powers are less in day.

It's actually horrible, and why the Dark Universe fail in the first place. Classic monsters used build on the 'Horror' aspect. Their attempt at Dark Universe build on 'action' and try to build some idiotic superhero team. The series Penny Dreadful did it so much better because it's about the horror, so did the game Dead by Daylight. Do all the modern day takes you want, but the best always lean in to the themes of their original source.
That's what they were trying to do originally but failed, I just wish they would make Van Helsing 2 already! With Hugh Jackman of course

I see so many comments from ppl who obviously think they're "too cool" to play fortnite. I'll admit I used to be one of those guys who would talk trash about the game & call it Fartnite. Then,about 3yrs ago I got my kids a Switch for Xmas & my 2 oldest boys started playing it. They know that I'm a huge fane of shooter games and I had been a die hard COD fan ever since I was in my teens so they begged me to join em.
One day I was bored and decided to download it on my pc so the 3 of us could play together & it didnt take cery long before my opinion of the game pulled a 180⁰ turn. I went from a guy that would sarcastically criticize the game.To being out right addicted to it. So if anyone has never given the game & its lore a true shot before turning away from it. Theres more to it than anybody who doesn't play it could ever know.

Probably not, Season 2 is going to be war-themed, more likely this is a foreshadow to season 3. They probably wanted this for season 8 which was monster-themed, but the deal didn't go through until now.

Much respect I watched this whole trailer wanting to play this game and then I saw the cube and was like “no way this was a fortnite add the whole commercial” had me invested in the characters their stories and what the overall story was

I doubt they would have any major impact on the main storyline.. I guess is more like a story within a story "event-like"ish. A twist within the story or something like that but I doubt seeing the Universal Monster co-oping with The Seven or The Imagine Order or having any major impact on the main story. the Imagine Order wants to enslave people from other dimensions, more likely they would team with the Foundation who wants to keep free will for the people of Reality Zero

yh tbh the fortnite reveal at the end kinda ruined it but at the same time: i loved the atmosphere and i loved the redesigns. As a long time fan of the classic monsters, im thrilled to see them brought back!

saw the second half of this at 3 am after waking up for a little while and thought i was on an insane trip and was wondering what i had done before i fell asleep
1:12 HIS NAME IS NOT FRANKENSTEIN, that’s the name of his creator, Frankenstein’s monster actually killed Victor Frankenstein’s brother and wife (and his friend). Yes, Frankenstein’s wife was killed by Frankenstein’s monster, so this can’t be Frankenstein’s wife. Frankenstein’s monster doesn’t really have a name as well, but another name some have given him (other than Frankenstein’s monster) is Adam (rarely used, never mentioned in the og book, “Frankenstein,” as his name) since he was the first creature created of his kind. Now, Frank’s monster did have a wife, or at least was going to. Victor was making him a mate, but then realized he didn’t want to create another monster, so he murdered her before even bringing her to life (he tore her body into pieces). I understand this story might be happening in another universe, so his wife might be still alive, but that could only mean one thing… Victor is also alive, and might be the one chasing this monster… if not him, then it could be someone from that one family whose home Frank’s monster burns… I forgot their names, but they were the ones that Frank’s monster learned speaking from. What I do like in this animation is that Frank’s monster isn’t shown as a dumb monster that can’t think (despite being portrayed that way in other films and stories). I also don’t know who the girl that could give life is, but I do know she’s definitely connected with Victor in some way… could be Victor’s wife (which his monster kills since Victor didn’t give life to his mate, at least in this universe). I think the animation could be made more dramatic (a lot happens in these 9 minutes) but it’s a nice concept, would fit for a Halloween event.
why don't we consider Adam to be Frankenstein if technically, he is the son of Victor Frankenstein
@@gamerstheater1187 Well, you can call him "Frankenstein," but tbh, I don't think it would be a good match for a name since he really hated his creator... the monster killed Frankenstein's younger brother, best friend, and wife... It just doesn't feel right to say that he's part of the family that he had deceased (I think Victor's father was the last one alive, but he's not expected to last longer after his loss).
Or a monster themed season.
