  • Mmmm, chocolate. Now that we've mentioned it, you want some right now, don't you? But now you face a choice: What kind of chocolate to buy and eat to satisfy your sweets craving? You could go with a higher-end brand for something fancy, or you could choose a classic candy bar.
In the end, it's all chocolate, so it's all pretty good. But some brands you can find on grocery store shelves consistently pump out high-quality confections, while others seem to essentially coast on the assumption that, well, all chocolate is pretty good. And you want the best, don't you? With that in mind, here are the most popular chocolate brands, ranked worst to best.

I mean, how can Lindt not be first, right...it was pretty much a given. While Lindt correctly finished first, I did take some minor issues with the rest of the list. While Reese's is made by Hershey's they should be ranked separately as their chocolate does taste better than plain Hershey's. Russell Stover is not bad, it depends on what the item is. Yes, I am aware they own Whitman's. I would rank this way (worst to best) Hershey's, American Cadbury, Milka, Nestle, Russell Stover, M&M Mars, Reese's, Whitman's, Milka, European Cadbury, Dove, Godiva, Ferrero Rocher, Ghirardelli, Lindt. Oh and: Dark>Milk>Gold>Ruby>White. Dark rules, white drools.

Used to manage Ethel M Chocolates. Just watched your video. How come the best chocolate Ethel M was not mentioned. They ONLY use all natural ingredients, dark chocolate is NOT processed with alkali so no bitterness. You could do whole video on their factory in Henderson NV. Mars ownes Ethel M. It was named after Mars seniors mom that started making chocolate in her kitchen. Mars candy company is another division. Ethel M raspberry cream is excellent made with real raspberries, no presertivies or additives.

Butyric acid is found in spoiled milk, vomit and US made Hershey's milk chocolate. European chocolate rarely has butyric acid. European chocolate (usually) has more chocolate and less sugar.
Apparently, the folk at Mashed, prefer the taste of sugary vomit to the taste of chocolate.

Def should be labeled as American chocolate as Cadbury in the UK is brilliant, I have tried many American chocolate bars and as I live in the UK we have many here and also Swiss and Belgian chocolate is readily available, American chocolate is far inferior to anything here in Europe, just fact

That bad Cadbury was probably licensed by Hershey. Real british Cadbury is good. I also don't understand why Hershey's isn't the worst on the list. The texture is far less smooth than Cadbury, and it has a strange aftertaste almost reminiscent of puke. This channel is definitely very americanocentric.
