In Ernst Jorgensen's book "Elvis Presley A Life in Music" , page 269 he states that wearing That Loved On Look was recorded at about 3 AM and his voice was simply wearing thin from the long night of recording. I love the outtakes.

How wonderful that you and your dad shared these experiences of listening to Elvis together ...my parents hated him and his music..I was not allowed to play his music..( I listened to it anyway...in my room...middle of the night... very low..🤫

Sorry to hear you couldn’t listen to Elvis openly, but it’s amazing how his music still found a way to reach you.

I love these, imo the Memphis Record is one of Elvis's best. His voice really is in his prime in this recordings.

I love listening to the outtakes of his songs. It makes you realise just what work went into his records. I've got this set and it took 15 takes. It's a wonder the poor bloke wasn't hoarse! As you say it should shows what a perfectionist Elvis was. Another good one to listen on this recording set is Suspicious Minds. It took a him a few goes to get one of the lines right. 😊

Great video - You can tell Elvis had a cold but the hoarse voice makes this particular song even better. Makes you realize how much work went into every song. Love the fly on the wall experience!

I just love Elvis Presley's recording sessions - they show the real Elvis so sweet humble and patient - with his delightful sense of humor - his adorable laugh and voice and his endearing comments and charm - an altogether alluring sweet beautiful Elvis experience so pleasantly amusing and which we have the honor of sharing with him as he gives his very best to every performance! Thank you Rene for sharing this recording session with us and keeping his spirit alive which you always do!! I really really enjoyed it!!

I have a bit of an interesting request. In the 1980’s, there was a band called the Rock-afire Explosion. But they weren’t a normal band, because instead of humans, they were animatronics. (You may know what im talking about if you were born in the 70s-80s.) They released a medley of elvis music called the “Elvis Medley” and they covered around 8 of his songs in a 6 minute track. I think itd be cool if you reacted to it or even listened to it on your own time. The “band” has 8 members so theres a great variety of vocals with all being very unique in terms of style. Thanks !
