This is all so beautiful ... as far as the drone though...I don't know a single parent who would thank you for giving that to their kid.

the sound of the constant, toxic squeak-sound of the drone would be cruel for any living being to hear ...
... especially animals, whose ears
are very sensitive. 😔

As a person from the Colonies, I’ve had the pleasure to visit England, and the British Isles on many, many occasions. The first time I went to Harrods was in the mid-90s, and that’s when I saw my very first plasma TV. It was 4,800 pounds and was like a 32 inch TV. And, they were having trouble keeping them in stock.

I also enjoy realizing the differences between how countries use various words. You said something about Harrods being famous for "Hampers" and how exciting it was to open one of their "hampers". This confused me for a second because here in the United States (at least I live) we use the word "hamper" to refer to a place you put your dirty laundry. It's also referred to as a laundry basket here as well but I grew up with it called a 'hamper". So at first I didn't understand how a company could be excited about dirty laundry and I had to laugh when I realized what you actually meant.

Christmas! Not had Guy Fawkes or even Halloween yet. After a card I sent last year from Cork IE to Kent UK took 3 months to be delivered may have to start buying and sending cards and gifts a bit earlier than the start of the second week of December. Think I may have to start to post them next week.

What fun Sinead! Reminds me of the glory days of Harrods in decades past, when it was the premier store in town- At least this holiday department is full of unique items and not the same designer fashions that I can find in New York or Beverly Hills. It will be fun to see later this month!

Hi Sinead ! Love your enthusiasm as you explored Harrods ! I was thinking about how you had gone to Southbank during Christmas and you explored the many shops there and I enjoyed it so much that we travelled from USA to London in December 2022 to see London during that time and we enjoyed it so much but you guys had such a cold and snowy period during our stay but we loved it just the same. You inspired us to go because of your holiday videos. So hopefully you will go back to Southbank once again for the holiday season.
We are coming back to London in May 2024 for our 9th time in ten years !!!

Exactly. It is fun to look in the Xmas shop and in the food court, but I always leave Harrod’s feeling a bit sick because of the decadent opulence and privilege enshrined there.

I’m offended that Harrods have put stuff up for Christmas, before we even had Halloween, we in Britain really need to up our Halloween game, I’m all for Christmas (though no where near as much as my 80odd year old mum) but im also really hot on Halloween and have been for about 30+ years as soon as I was able to form my own opinions and I think we really need to put more emphasis on remember the ones that passed before us not just seeing it as a time to watch spooky films.
