Hi, Ken. I'm a 75 yr old great grandma who enjoys watching your videos. I've always been curious about the UK, particularly London, so I appreciate the time you take to visit well known places as well as those off the beaten track. I found myself chuckling about the way you've been gushing over London, especially since I also watch videos by a British man from the UK who gushed just as much over NYC as you have over London. This just goes to confirm that visiting a different country or city is not the same as living and working there. Safe travels and keep those videos and live streams coming! 😊
That drone guy was gorgeous - in fact, my Grindr would be chirping non stop with all those hot men in there, as I’m always on hunk-watch anyway and I’ve been told that I’m a terrible flirt - I’ve worked in retail for 30 years as an out gay man and I can tell you that you will meet your life partner in a retail setting - and if you are looking for a rich boyfriend, go to Harrods - there is some serious male eye-candy in this video 😍😍😍😍
I'm overwhelmed and impressed just watching this from my screen! 🤩 I enjoyed seeing the food hall, the Egyptian-themed section 21:47, 29:17, and the toy section. 😍 26:08 It was so cool to watch the Magic Snow expand after water was added! The friendly staff member made this experience much more enjoyable. 😃 Thank you for sharing this luxury shopping experience in London, AK! 🤗
I love the Harrods Food Halls. Whenever I was staying in London, I’d always stop at Harrods and pick up some cheese, pate or salmon mousse, and some crackers - maybe some wine - and bring it back to my hotel and have a little picnic in my room while watching the telly. Wonderful quality food.
Thank you, AK for an amazing walk through Harrods. I could have never imagined something like this. There is certainly nothing else like it in the world.
Harrods looks great department store but everybody can see that is very expensive place to do shopping but atleast it looks great to have something less expensive and the whole store looks great 😎Beautiful store 🙂Thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!
It always has been expensive, but I was always able to find a few affordable luxuries there. They are there, if you look hard enough. I still have towels, copper cookware, a door knocker and various other things I bought in Harrods over 20 years ago.
AK it was on this day November 16, 1898 that the first ever to be seen escalator in London was opened in Harrods. Mohammed Al-Feyed, an Egyptian, who bought the store in 1985 commissioned the Egyptian stairway to heaven in 1997. It looks amazing!
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Wow 😮 what a Amazing store being originally from the UK. Never ever went to Harrods . A very expensive store yes but well worth it indeed that food floor and toy section is Amazing . Thanks for the Tour AK
i remember harrods i loved seeing it again after all the years since ive been here its a beautiful store hope you liked it & thanks for showing us around AK 😊enjoy your day from estelle

I love Harrod's Department Store and the Knightsbridge neighbourhood! I have been there many times and I adore the entire store! The Food Hall is my favourite! It's beautiful to walk through! Awesome video Ken! Your trip sounds fabulous! 🙂
First of all wow! Incredible experience to visit. Everything merge together you walk out of one store into another one there are no doors to push open. Its like a maze of stores. Like you pointed out the food hall is next to the perfume and sun glasses. This is definitely a store to visit in person am sure it will leave you speechless. It was so much too see, thank you AK for this awesome video. 😊
Really enjoyed the video, especially the food halls and the Egyptian escalator. I wish I could afford to shop there. Just fyi, the jeweller "Cartier" is pronounced car-tee-ay. Thanks Ken.
I really loved watching your video. Did such a fantastic job. I was at Harrod’s in the late 1990s and forgot a lot of details about how wonderful this store is. The architecture inside is amazing with the beautiful chandeliers, marble floors, columns, the main escalator. Everyone is friendly and the store is so clean and organized. The food court is incredible and made my mouth water. Also, I loved the jazzy piano music you had going through the men’s shoes. How can I find that wonderful happy music? Loved your video. Thanks for making my day.
I enjoyed your tour of Harrods, it was interesting and fun. Its great to see places i wouldn't normally get to visit. There are so many beautiful things.
Thank you for the tour. Always curious about what that department store looked like. Classy at every turn. The grocery store though, and the dining hall with real plates and silverware. So civilized
No store in the World comes close to Harrods, their Foodhalls are Heaven on Earth 👍👍😁, AK when are you moving to the Greatest City in the World, London 👍👍😁😁😁
I loved the politeness and relaxed approach of londoners when i was there a couple of weeks ago... it's so crowded, yet fairly efficient because everybody behaves in a way to avoid causing inconvenience to others. In other places you'd have gotten beaten up by that security guard at the beginning... here he even made a double thumbs up pose for your video ! Reminds me of the security dude who practically jumped away to let us take pictures in front of Hyde's park lion&unicorn gate, then saying "i wouldn't want to ruin your picture". On the other hand, there's of course a dark side to this, when a server or an entrance employee launched "how are you doing?"... yea, as if they cared. Polite is great, but don't take it too far :s
This was my favorite live stream that you have posted. Being a Vogue magazine designer/ fashion person that I am , I enjoyed seeing all the shops and huge department store. My god , it was bigger than I ever dreamed! Thank you for sharing. I’ll watch it again and again.
Harrods looks even spiffier than I recall from forty years ago. I followed some desert Arabs through as they handled all the merchandise and bought a lot of it. In their neat beards and snow-white robes they were a pickpocket's nightmare-the first such folks I'd seen. I bought a tweed hat, which I still wear now and then.
Thanks for the trip to Harrods. I was impressed that you managed to find your way back to the Egyptian elevator. I must have spent 50 hours in Harrods over the years and I could never successfully navigate my way back to those elevators. The food halls were even more impressive before the Qatari sovereign wealth fund bought Harrods from Fayed in 2010 (it was Fayed who built the Egyptian elevator btw). The Qataris converted much of the food hall space into jewellery retail areas. More of the food halls were given over to dining space too. They are still impressive, but they were much more impressive before. For example, that entire dining hall was once the meat, poultry and wet fish hall. I suppose that, having paid £1.5 billion for the place, the Qataris wanted to get maximum return per square foot - and jewellery does that better than butchery and wet fish.
I love Harrods, gonna visit there next year again ❤ And I must say, the DJ Osmo has a super Stabilisation and seem less clumpy than big camera :-) seems worth it
I had to learn that the pronunciation of Loewe is Low-ay (long a) vay. Slight emphasis on middle syllable: lo-ay'-vay. I hear it is a Spanish firm. You put out a great video!
Hudson’s dept store in Detroit had a food emporium. They were on par with Marshall fields in Chicago who also had a food hall. Most higher end dept store had some sort of food floor. Sadly they really no longer exist in the us.
I touched a pillow case in here and it was incredible. I was going to buy it and knew it was going to be expensive, like £50 or something, but turns out it was £199 😭
You told the guy in the toy section New York doesn't have toys like this. Yes it does!!! I don't live in New York, but I know New York has FOA Schwartz toy store!! 😁 very famous toy store! You should do a Christmas walk through there.
Harrod’s was owned by Mohamed Al Fayed who was Egyptian hence the influence you see. His son, Dodi died in a car accident with Diana, Princess of Wales. It’s now owned by the State of Qatar.
My abiding memory of Harrods?' Christmas !973 and I had been charged with buying a riding crop at Harrods for my American girlfriend. Stopped while enroute to Heathrow for flight back to the US in order to pick one up. Big mistake---I had a 50lb suitcase with me that I was not allowed to check due to the "Irish troubles" and terrorist attacks. Lugged that 50lb dead-weight around what seemed like most of the store. And as you can see, that is one big store!
Harrods has been chavy tat for over 20 years. No one with genuine class shops there. It’s popular with a certain type and tourists (who are usually disappointed) you can do better in London and most certainly around Britain. Harrods is B&M with silly prices

Years ago I did high tea here in Harrods and was so impressed. I could not find anything similar in NY. I highly recommend it.
Thanks man for filming this❤❤❤ it was a pleasure to watch fr😄
The toy section reminds me of the movie “Toys” with the late Robin Williams…This place is a dream…Thank you AK for showing us 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you AK , enjoyed this store very much , probably couldn't afford anything but its a beautiful place 😊

I enjoyed your tour of Harrods, it was interesting and fun. Its great to see places i wouldn't normally get to visit. There are so many beautiful things.
The owner of Harrods, Al Fayed, was Egyptian, hence the decor!
FYI - Al Fayed's son, Dodi, died in that car crash with Princess Diana!
More about him you can find in a new season of The crown which is out today!😮
That's right, and his son, Dodi Fayed, was killed in the same auto accident in which Princess Diana was killed, in 1997.
Al Fayed doesn’t own Harrods he sold it some time ago
And apparently he was problematic but idk the evidence isn’t fully put together when I read it.

There's only one luxury department store in Europe that is over half the size of Harrods.

this is similar to bloomingdale or macy in nyc minus the food court. it is a shame you didn't film the food court.
