On the other videos on this channel about why people are homophobic or racist have people agreeing and going “why are they like that, it’s so unfair” and stuff like that. And that is good because at least some people are against racism and homophobia. On this it’s just a few people sharing their stories and then some people actually disagreeing with the video.
It feels like more people are against homophobia and racism because it can actually effect other men.

In that bus story, why would she look around and expect other people to get involved?
I've had random altercations with other men trying to start trouble, I just handled it. Get ready to square up.
The expectation for others to interfere, in the name of a woman's honor is a remnant of a chivalrous past that was destroyed by the very ideology Laura subscribes to. In the past men have been killed for allegedly whistling at a woman let alone touching one. The paternalism placed on women has been removed, and with that comes risk, Her story is a result of that Trade-off. What she wants is the protectionism that patriarchy once provided in the past without the risk that comes with being free in the world. She frames this as a gendered issue, while most of the trouble makers in the world are men, those men make no gendered distinction on who they start trouble with, as statistically, crimes against men have always been higher.
As far as companies gendering products..MONEY is on the line..if gendering products is a problem then the consumer wouldn't buy it and they would be out of business. Companys have better analytics now more than ever about age, gender, geography. The power is in the hands of the consumers that buy the products, especially when you can order them online, companies simply adjust to the market. if there truly is a market for non-gendered products, well you might have a potential gold-mine for an unaddressed market.

Tv advertising is pretty sexist. The men are always the ‘dumb blokes’ who need to be helped by the wise women. For example, insurance adverts where men can’t find the right quote. The woman pops in with the ‘men are so impractical’ look and sorts the problem with ease. Or that car advert where the woman goes on a number of dates and judges the men based on their looks. Overall, men in advertising are seen as fair game when it comes to stereotyping gender intelligence.
