I have a 76 built in Nov 1975 Tokyo factory stock all numbers matching. I on-car balanced the wheels at 130mph then took it out for a max speed run. The speedometer was reading 133-134 and that was all she wrote. The 280Z is such a better road car than the 240Z from noise to comfort to utility. The OE parts are better and the maintenance schedules. Reliable Bosch EFI and the car is very easy to tune. Just change the oil put gas in it and go. Corvettes felt miserable back in the day. This car is a comfortable GT car with room to spare. The S30 dominated its class in SCCA for 10 straight years, the entire decade of the 1970s. The 280Z won 1975-1978 so it shares the racing heritage with the 240Z. Paul Newman won with the 280ZX in 1979 btw
I owned a 1976 280Z. 0-60 was much quicker than the 7 seconds he reported here, as well as top speed which was 143 mph in my car, and that was with the number 6 cylinder losing compression and thumping slightly at idle. My milage was at over 200,000. Miles as well. SO, just to say, these cars are SO under rated. I raced against the IROC-Z28, and Mustang 5.0 GT, BMW-M3 on the street ight to light, and 1/8 mile bracket. AND (if you know Portland Oregon... Germantown Rd . As well as Coucil Crest, and the back roads to Bald Peak. 🤣🤣🤣. Yeah, well....how that rap song go back in the 80-90's... "Can't touch this!" 😁 God, I miss my car! Unfortunately, it was stolen and never recovered. 😭

I've owned this exact car for 44 years, and now I'm in the process of restoring it.

The era when cars were interesting and fun to drive and manual gearboxes.

It's not a ZX. The ZX didn't come out until 79.
That made me nuts every time he said ZX
Great!
So what is this exactly? Is it actually for sale? If so where do I go to look at the listing? there’s no link in the description

Nice présentation 👌
the brakes ARE vaccume boosted
1977 was also the year it changed to Unleaded fuel
That is a 280z not a 280zx lord it is so annoying that you kept calling it a ZX.

Those wheels and terrible fitment but beside’s that looks to be a really clean car.
