  • "The 20-count federal indictment alleges that Miller, 50, schemed to conceal income she earned from her show, created bank accounts to hide money and lied about her earnings...The U.S. Attorney's Office alleges that Miller hid a substantial amount of money that was earned on the 'Dance Moms' series and money earned on spin-off shows. 'This was an individual who had a home here, a home in Florida, four sole proprietorships and this going concern of a dance business who then was also not just in negotiations to have a reality TV show but had actually received income and was hiding that from the court,' U.S. Attorney David Hickton said. The indictment alleges that Miller had an agreement with the Lifetime network for 'Dance Moms' where, as the years progressed and the show was renewed, she eventually could be paid up to $25,000 an episode -- yet prosecutors claim she hid that information from the government...If convicted, Miller could face five years in prison and a fine of $250,000 -- or both -- for each count of the indictment." - Pittsburgh's Action News, October 15, 2015
