Question ❓ you said your alternator registered around 14.8-14.9 did you get the plug and play model regulated at 14.8 reason I'm asking is I'm wondering if this will allow me to externally regulate an alternator that wasn't originally intended to be externally regulated I'm wanting to order a alternator to charge at 14.8 with the current battery I have but I want to get LTO eventually which will require me to charge higher

I believe the people at auto tech said that these controllers only work with their alts from auto tech. I don’t think these will work with any other brands. These controllers came with a 3 pin plug with a sensing point rhat connects to a sensing point to their auto tech alts

I would say go with an alt from auto tech so you can use this same controller. They go all the way up to 16 v I believe .ive had mine for 2 yrs now and with no issues.

@@RomaVilla yeah I emailed them earlier I've seen a bunch of cars like mine with the PCM controlled charging system and a lot have charging issues but autotech has made alternator's for my exact car that works perfectly fine with no issues so I'm definitely going with them over the competition

@@SlamryCamry19 i definitely recommend them as go to for HO alts. I had voltage issues with 11 Corolla and would never get above 13.6 even with big 4 and 300 ah of agm and I couldn’t get the power I needed from any of my amps once I seen auto tech had a 320 and 240 alt regulated at 14.8 I told myself that it was perfect for running a 40 ah ying long lto in my vehicle and it’ made a hell of a difference in just about everything. I do need a tad more lithium to run my bc6k but I don’t usually drop below 14 v at full tilt on an Orion spl 15

Hey bro I placed my order yesterday for a 290 amp with the VCM 6003 but I need to know where the ignition wire goes do I need to run it all the way to my key ignition switch on the steering column

Yea that would work , I ran mine right under the steering column along with 9 amp fuse and it hasn’t given me any issues.
