- See Deltic 55009 'Alycidon' heading down from Barrow Hill LIP to Burton Wetmore to collect the stock in advance of tomorrow's railtour from London Kings Cross to Scarborough.
The loco will be running in disguise for the day as one of its former stable-mates - I don't spoil the surprise exactly which identity it'll be carrying.
In amongst the torrential rain - 37510 speeds by with a unit on delivery from Derby to Oxley, followed by 67005 heading back to Toton and 43184/43007 in their farewell XC HST colour schemes.
Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.

Camera zoom is excellent, well done for keeping lens mostly dry, miserable conditions sort the true enthusiast from the rest!
Great watch from a very interesting junction location, brilliant ! Thank you.
The turnouts points would look good on a model railway and the trains seem to be doing more than 30mph crossing them, great video
Thanks very much - It was worth getting soaked for 🙏👍
The speed restriction is for trains diverging to the right, not those on the main route. The zoomed camera also foreshortens the distance so the 67 for instance looks faster than it was
The Deltic was the Winner, they are still the best on the rails today.
Take some beating 👌👍
I love the deltics. Nice tones from the 730 dragging 37
37 dragging 730
@@Tez2blessedmyrockets730 Pushing the 37 😂
@@ianjones4116 😆 🤣
Just as long as it's just for one day
Nice One
Interesting with the covered name plate !! & well done braving the rain !!!
Cheers Buddy - Very damp day for sure.. 😫👍
Like 45 beautiful video, greetings from Asturias 🔝🚂👍👋🙋♂️
Thanks again for watching 👍
55013 she was labelled. I was on that rail tour
Unsung heroes showing how it's done - the class 70 of course!
I don’t mind a class 70 myself..! 😜👍
Greayt video 😊
Some Great Tones from 37510 dragging 730030 also 43007 and 43184 giving it some keep it up mate!
Great Catches 👍
Thank you very much! 👍
I saw the XC HST set heading to Edinburgh the day before. Pity they will be stopping soon.
Agreed - It’ll be a sad day when Scotrail will be the sole operator.
My guess is that 009 is disguised as 55013 “The Black Watch”. the nameplate looks long enough
Also do you know when the Farewell XC HST tour will be, if there is one..
26 th September - Leeds to swanage via reading
@@bens_trainspotting ok thanks
Deltic, class 37s and a 7 + 2. HST set😮😊. What more could you want
I’d take those any day 👌👍
Casually got an ilkley from a 37 Mega!
Nice that 💥💥💥👍
Where is that? Interesting location
It’s Stenson Jct - Just to the south of Derby 👍
Ah! A Yorkshire class 37!
While I'm not a fan of diesel locos as I prefer steam traction, the Deltic's are one of the very few classes of diesel locomotives that I do like.
Can’t go wrong with a Deltic….Well most of the time 😜👍
@@trainsplanes they've just had it returned to service and it's gone pop already. And I thought that them catching fire was the worst thing that could happen.
As an ex driver, I detest the habit of putting a fake number on a loco purely for a photograph...
Great video! What camera do you use the quality is amazing.
Thanks - It’s all filmed with a Panasonic HC-VXF1 👍
@@trainsplanes awesome!
There'll be plenty of speculation as to which one it's running as.
I think that if it was a "Racehorse" it would have been given white windows. So I'm thinking it will be a Regiment.
But I'm not putting a Fiver on it being D9005. 😄
If its renamed, going by length and width of nameplate i would go for 55004 Queens Own Highlander.
Its been confirmed that 009 is currently disguised as 013 “The Black Watch”
@@terrier_productions Good choice
Class37s and deltics do it for me more than the others
