For the record, that's about the distance between lvl 80 nhc dungeon to myth raid gear... Tbh, the costs for the upgrades in relation to what you get, are questionable at least. Also, with the birthday even and everything around most people will have boosted so many chars and so high level, that those items won't be relevant for this addon at all... I don't get why they don't simply unlock upgrade the moment you hit max level with any character in the current addon.

Heirloom gear is still relevant until you hit 60, then the gear from drops and rewards vastly outweigh the heirlooms, even if the heirloom has been upgraded to scale up to 70. They need to buff the heirlooms to keep them relevant through that gap, otherwise it's not worth upgrading them to 70. Are they necessary though? Eh... I like them because they smooth out the leveling experience so when you do world quest you aren't needlessly stalling your grind with long TTK or survival. That said, leveling has become so quick, I have entirely too many alts.
even pre-60 i've noticed them not being as powerful as they should be, as someone who once spent almost a million gold getting them to 69 (Giggity!) i want my Gold's worth, dammit! slightly better than Crafted DF Blues @ 70, that's all i ask.
I love my upgraded heirlooms, the fact they keep scaling while you rapidly level it's a godsend, the secret is to upgrade them with easily obtainable timewarped badges.

If you got a +12 key, it means you can run +11; forcing you to run it again is just a time sink, it doesn't make the game easier or harder, you are just punished with no chance to learn from said punishment. Ive kept my heirlooms up to speed for a long time, I have 27 characters. Using the 20th event I got all of my toons to max lvl in a few weeks running only timewalking dungeons. So for once all my characters hit lvl cap before the 'launch event' for the next expansion. Heirlooms are just about useless now, they are to low ilvl, they cost to much, they don't really speed up the lvling, and they arent even upgradeable till the end of an expansion. What are the point of heirlooms? just to be gold sinks and nothing else now. They need a large rework, as well as missing pieces added in like belts, gloves, etc. They should be equal to blue dungeon gear of your current level like they used to be, now they are like whites ilvl.

I‘m totally against this ban culture, they ban players because of their mismanaged gaming style in this M+ stuff. I have to admit i‘m not a M+ player, just in the lower segment but why are they dont make the game accessible in every stage for all. Also funny is how it was discussed in the community. The people were blaming each other but blizzard created this toxic environment by implementing things like the scores and a philosophy of fomo.
How is M+ not accessible? The "access" is having a strong group of similarly skilled players. Most people who seem to talk about lack of access tend also to be players who don't know how mechanics work or what spells must be kicked, or when to run instead of tunnel dps. At the end of the day, you can join communities of like minded players.

Current game design is making leaving sensible option though... If there is absolutely nothing else there for players than few funny numbers to score and one mistake costs the key. After that mistake there is no reason to carry on with the ruined key. However I do carry on with those keys if others want that since there is something to learn or test still and well, playing is fun 😅 Blizzard should make staying for the whole key somehow attractive instead of banning people. Even though most of the people getting bans here might actually just deserve it.
I actually switched to Ascension wow, the community is so much nicer and helpful and not toxic . the game is fun to play again and the people are fun and entertaining to interact with. Even though i have played retail for the past 20 years , i find retail unhelpful and toxic. its no fun to play alone , not to mention dungeons and raids are very difficult to do solo at level. Ive tried to make new friends after all my friends left years ago. But its hard to make friends when you are old and everyone is 20 years younger , we have nothing but the game in common. i still dabble in retail , after all i have so many years there and remade toons just are not the same ( to me anyways, id like to think each of my toons has a personality and that cant be remade in a new game.)

I got my account silenced for talking smack in rated pvp matches. Yes, I got a few warnings but I continued doing it. So my account was censored. I was allowed to play but I could not talk to anyone, not even people on my friend's list. Needless to say I quit shortly after that. I was already on the verge of quitting because the game was stale, but the excessive censorship was the final nail in the coffin. People have ignore buttons. There is no reason to censor an entire account when ignore options exist.

They aren't banning people who occasionally leave dungeons. This only affects an incredibly small percentage of players who are consistently doing it.

After that mistake there is no reason to carry on with the ruined key. However I do carry on with those keys if others want that since there is something to learn or test still and well, playing is fun 😅
Blizzard should make staying for the whole key somehow attractive instead of banning people. Even though most of the people getting bans here might actually just deserve it.
I actually switched to Ascension wow, the community is so much nicer and helpful and not toxic . the game is fun to play again and the people are fun and entertaining to interact with. Even though i have played retail for the past 20 years , i find retail unhelpful and toxic. its no fun to play alone , not to mention dungeons and raids are very difficult to do solo at level. Ive tried to make new friends after all my friends left years ago. But its hard to make friends when you are old and everyone is 20 years younger , we have nothing but the game in common. i still dabble in retail , after all i have so many years there and remade toons just are not the same ( to me anyways, id like to think each of my toons has a personality and that cant be remade in a new game.)
Then you should not be pugging mythic plus keys if you are just gonna leave and brick his key
It’s on 10s when you want them for vault then someone just leaves it’s selfish.
@@jaronweaver I am kind of speaking about keys higher than 10. And the situation where you get all the crests and +10 runs for that week in a day. There should be some kind of progression or endless grind on top of those caches and crests or otherwise we face the situation where there is no reason to complete key if pretty much anything goes wrong 🤔
@@Paulfromwish Yeah well people are going to play them anyway... And Blizzard could do something to encourage staying a bit more. I feel like that would be more effective than fear of getting randomly banned.

I got my account silenced for talking smack in rated pvp matches. Yes, I got a few warnings but I continued doing it. So my account was censored. I was allowed to play but I could not talk to anyone, not even people on my friend's list. Needless to say I quit shortly after that. I was already on the verge of quitting because the game was stale, but the excessive censorship was the final nail in the coffin. People have ignore buttons. There is no reason to censor an entire account when ignore options exist.
