Good battery pack is modest to keep weight down. No point to high density high capacity batteries that risk fire. Please no EV fires, which seems to be sensible long range trade off.
This is in a nutshell why legacy automakers are facing a very hard time ahead. New manufacturers do understand nowadays customer wishes which basically is; I want everything and I want it delivered fast. More than just one brand are able to deliver that as we speak.
Ohh I really wanted to like this car! But not for me… it’s a fake Alfa Romeo.. because with all the Stellantis group dna! Small suv.. bad choice Alfa! Should have made a cool affordable electric saloon.. in red obviously!! Really disappointed. I love Alfa Romeo.. but probably the finance directors see where the market is for small SUV’s!! Lot of money for a Vauxhall/Jeep. Sat in one at Goodwood FOS. As Alfa owner. Feels cheap inside, lots of nasty plastics and no 'Alfa Soul' what so ever. An opportunity missed by a mile (or kilometer). Disappointing. They need to take 5-10 grand (£) off all the prices. Then they will sell for sure.
