I loved that Amp!! When I got back into car audio I ran that Amp on 2 kicker comp r 12s had them subs slapping!! I need run a sundown x15v3 on a sia3500 about to install a taramps md5k! So by using a hi low converter is that better than using the high level connections on the amp?

You should have used the amplifier's signal sense to turn it on and off. By using a remote turn-on lead to the fuse box, the amp will turn off with the car's ignition. But the head unit remains on for a few minutes (or until the door is opened).
