Thankyou for talking about some of the dangers of hog ownership. I get downright scared of some of the family based homesteaders on youtube that let their kids near some of their intact farm animals.

The sheet metal scoring trick.... that was slick.

I learnt that back in the summer working with this guy part time on the weekends scoring tin like that. He told me to do that and I thought there is no way, but it worked and scored mine 4 or 5 times tho 😂 Great Video!

Yeah not all roofing metal is equal, this stuff is probably on the thin side. Thanks bro!

Used to raise pigs years ago. I got out of it. But I'm getting back into now. I just bought me 4 piglets about 40lbs each. Guy had them cheap. He wanted $45 each but he sold them to me for $20 each. Said he didn't want to mess with them. I don't know what breed they are he didn't either. But couldn't pass the deal up. Is it worth training them to electric fence.

I believe a hog could tear up an Anvil if they had a mind to.

Lived on a commercial hog farm for a few months, not that big only around 3000 total at any given time…. The hogs didn’t get a lot of handling by people from start to finish so they were kinda ruthless and more than a little mean at times….
You never handled the boars or got in a pen with em, they’d try an eat you if you fell down an that’s a fact.

Wow! Yeah I’m sure homestead pigs usually wouldn’t try to eat you but I wouldn’t take a nap in there pen 😂

I see the boar and barrow get along. Is that because one is castrated or is that the breed? I know some males cannot be put together. Just curious, i don't know much about pigs. We have cattle, sheep, poultry and rabbits.

I’d guess it’s because they have their pecking order figured out. Just like Multiple Bulls In a herd will get along pretty well once they figure out who’s the strongest.

Now I know one thing….. you scored the metal before you turned on the camera……. That broke too easily for the one handed single pass you made on camera!😂😂😂
Unless you’re the human version of Hulk!🤣🤣🤣
