Great setup. We have essentially the same thing on wheels (OK corral) for cattle that almost completely eliminates the stress of working the animals. I will definitely be making one of these. Also, your milled lumber looks great. I grew up working a sawmill and appreciate good workmanship.
this is brilliant...i am gobsmacked at how calm the whole process can be....huge difference to how chaotic it is in a factory farm. still haunts me how violent people can be to these little tackers. one thing tho, just dont like how you call them dummies. :P
The only thing missing is a good dog. (I know that might stir em up. I said a good dog.) To go around one side of the feeder & you the other. I once had the best hog dog in the county- according to my vet. He loved to watch her work. Love your videos & your methods.
Does are very protective of their piglets when it comes to predators. I imagine the coyotes avoid them like the plague. A mamma sow is a grumpy critter!
I love your low stress management methods.
Easy on you and easy on the animals.
Thanks! Low stress is a big deal for happy pigs!
@@FarmBuilder Yes, great intelligent method! Does any of you know who sells an acre in an agricultural area in Miami Florida? I'm trying to buy it.
Loved the last piglet narration! Good job.
Awesome video! Great humorous Narration!
Thats pretty cool low stress on the piglets cool system 😎

Great weaning process, very stress free on the pigs and the people. Thank you for sharing.
It's nice to see someone with humor.
About to wean my first batch of piglets so the timing could not be better. Thanks again.
+buffalopatriot awesome!
Love your method of doing things.
Another nice feature of a pasture based swine system is that you don't have to deal with mechanical manure spreading.
For sure!
@@FarmBuilder
Is there less pig odor on pasture?
Significantly less. Most days no smell at all.
@@FarmBuilder
Schweet!!
Pretty cool method of rounding up the pigs, low stress no commotion lol
it didnt take long for us (justin rhodes subs) to make your channel jump from 8 k to 12 k congrats
Enjoy your videos. I love watching the pigs

8:40 & on - lol!!! Love it. This is me alone in the field talking to the animals. 😜
Yes!! ha!
If you've never seen pigs fly, then you've never tried to use large square bales as a makeshift piglet corral.
Whatever it takes!
Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliantly practical!
Sensible system. Learned a lot!
Thanks for the laugh this morning
If Batman were to catch pigs. Lol
Great video. I love your wood panels.
Thanks, the panels are super handy!
slick like budda ;) love your system
Heck of a great system
If the pigs are short enough to get under the wagon shelter, why do you create the hoop on top instead of a flat top?
Hi! what medicines and how often do you give your pigs?
Nice set up!
What do you do for predators ? Coyotes ? Eagles ? Bears ? Thanks.
Oh, I thought this was the Ricky lake show
great job !!
Thank you for the information.
That is awesome 👏👏👏 Love it!
Nice vid + setup👍🏼😬
+BigPanda Oxbull thanks!
your pigs are beautiful-! what breed / cross are they?
+Shunami Waters thank you! We started out with a cross of Duroc, Hampshire & Yorkshire.
Great ideas
Great Video, what are the Dimensions of the panels?
Thank you!
34" high by however long you want them. I think these were 10".
what kind of feeder is that, that you use? Make, manufacturer, etc. Cant seem to find anything like that around here
Not sure, I got them used a couple of years ago. We also use some feeders from NASCO.
You are funny. Great video.
How old normally are your piglets when you wean piglets?
6 - 8 weeks old.
I don't want to ask if this piglets were yours but I already asked. Lol.
soybeans and corn? GMO OR ORGANIC?
GMO-free but not certified organic .
When did you castrate them?
Are your sows behind a hot wire?
+West Wind Acres yes, we use electric fence to contain the sow groups.
FarmBuilder so your piglets are sneaking under the electric to get to the corals, and the sows stay away.
+West Wind Acres yes
Do you catch to neuter?
New sub2👍❤🇨🇦 onk
Do you have problems with coyotes when they run free like that?
+Danny Kanyo haven't had a problem. We've seen coyote patterns change to avoid the pig areas.
really. I thought they would be an easy target for predators.

You must like pork because there aot.
