This is such a great demonstration and I truly appreciate her teaching style. I am on my second pair. Thank you so much for this super cute pattern and demo.
adorable. Thank you for showing us how to do it. For children, you may want to make the coles non- slips. You can do this by putting dots of puffy paint on the soles.
Hi Diane I used ABS fabric, it has little grip dots all over it. It is the same fabric that is used on the soles of shop bought slippers as it is completely non slip. You can buy it on Etsy, it is called ABS fabric if you wanted to do a search for it. Thanks for watching. Happy stitching.
You're welcome Melanie. They are easy to make just take your time and make sure that you use the right version for your hoop size. For smaller hoops the uppers can be made in two parts rather than one. Happy stitching.
Dont be intimidated, just go for it. Find a reputable dealer who can supply and show you how to make friends with your new/ reconditioned machine. That is important they usually give you a lesson or two so that you can learn how to operate it, once you can do that the rest is stitching along to videos and practice. Brother machines are great I have two I will advise you to buy one that will take the biggest hoop that falls within your budget or you will suffer from hoop envy and with you had got one that takes bigger hoops, certainly dont go below a 5x7 machine. Remember there is no such thing as a beginners machine they all have their quirks and foibles no matter how big or small. In fact the bigger machines are less troublesome in my experience. The machine you see in most of my videos is a Brother Innovis V3 a great machine and to be honest I would have 10 of them if I could. I have a video showing you around it if that helps you: ruclips.net/video/cfO1lDO1Dsw/видео.html
I recommend starting out with a used machine from a sewing center. That way you have less up front investment and can put that extra money towards material, thread, etc.
Thank you so much for this answer, i sometimes have difficulties to pick up the good size. I really enjoy watching your videos and listening your explanations. It’s like having someone right beside me when i am in trouble. I don’t know how to say but it’s kind of you giving me faith in what i am doing and for all the things you allowed me to learn thank you again.
When stitching the face, why do you change bobbin color every time since the back is covered up anyway? (I'm guessing in case bobbin thread gets 'pulled up' which would show on top?? AND have you tried a piece of velcro on one end of the strap for adjustment?? AND how long a piece of elastic for the strap for smallest toddler size?
Hi Glenda high contrasting threads colours can show through hence the matching bobbin. I have not tried Velcro but I am sure it would work well. Happy stitching 😊
Hi Andrea You can use it on both especially if you are using a faux fur. I wasn't and I forgot to add it on earlier as my fabric didn't really need it. It was more a token show on how to use WSS topper. In the instructions it tells you to add it over the mouth too.
@@KaysCutz thank you for that explanation. I’ve noticed that some people use it on fabrics that I would considered it unnecessary, so I wanted to ask to make sure I wasn’t missing something. 😊
Hi Shirley Some sizes depending on your hoop size will need to be stitched in three parts, one or two for the upper and one for the sole. I demonstrated one of the smallest sizes in this video in which the upper fits into the hoop in one hooping as I wanted to show how to make the and fit the heel strap. In the instructions page 28 is where the upper that is made in two hoops starts. On page 41 it will show you how to join parts A & B and on page 55 how to join a completed upper to the sole. I hope this helps you.

Your work is absolutely fantastic. I so want to buy a embroidery machine. I'm very intimated by it and I also am confused on what to buy.

Thank you for all these explanations. Can you tell me the size of the needle used for those cute bunnies ?
Hi Martin I use a standard 75/11 needle.

Cute stitchout. Thank you. Question: because of Decovil, did you use other than a 75/11 needle.....maybe a Microtex 12 or 14, or Topstitch 14? Thanks
Hi, no just use your regular 75/11 needle. Thanks for watching. Happy stitching 😊
I’m curious why you use the wss on the eyes but not the nose/mouth/whiskers. I’m sure there’s a reason, but I can’t figure it out.
Hi Andrea You can use it on both especially if you are using a faux fur. I wasn't and I forgot to add it on earlier as my fabric didn't really need it. It was more a token show on how to use WSS topper. In the instructions it tells you to add it over the mouth too.

i get 3 parts for the toddler slippers sole...upper part a & lower part be ..while here it only shows 2 parts sole & BUNNY FACW WITH EARS
