So true. It's a great example of his humility and care for the game and those lucky enough to play it at their level. I mean, the guy even calls out to the dugouts when he fouls one low and along the lines.

Nah, just very hardcore focused. If he were a freak of nature, Shohei wouldn't be susceptible to injuries.
It makes me curious to speculate how he would've ended his 23' season without injury and how his batting and pitching stats would be currently.
He is the two way player of our generation, and I love to see him extend this very rare aspect in his career.
@@TheScotchaholic feels like it's both freak genetics and hardcore work ethic. The muscle groups to throw hard and hit hard aren't quite the same. Plus, he does both while being able to move fast. Shows that he's got a very unique (i.e. freak) combo of physical traits.
