As an artist, I have all sorts of interesting objects that would look great in the molds: dice, metal ball berings, crushed glass, keys, beads of all sizes and colors, fake hair of different colors, watch pieces, doll limbs, fish hooks, fish lures, tinsel, fake teeth, fake eyeballs, and so much more.
Love those ideas! I didn't even think of that! I would like to get into Resin art but I just haven't done well with the shot glasses I started with so I haven't went further. I'm so inspired by Mr. Steven though!
@@shilaguyette4777 I mainly use resin in my assemblage sculptures to hold down the main piece, like glue. Don't give up; I've had mistakes when I didn't properly measure the 2-part resin out. Keep trying but make sure you mix it well. All the famous artists in the world and in the past weren't experts at first but they kept on keeping on. Best of everything to you.
I love marbles..gets me all warm and fuzzy..a fav from my childhood..coloured glass is always beautiful..the skulls look awesome.. oooh sea glass?❤😊 Love what you do
Hmm, I think the resin would remove the matte effect that makes sea glass, sea glass if that makes sense? You could put some broken glass through a rock tumbler to make faux sea glass and try it though.
I love that you do all the stupid crazy stuff to see what happens, so that we don't have to, lol! I learn so much from you! Thank you for your efforts. It really is appreciated!
Steve, you’ve just confirmed my next project. I’d got loadsa the flat sided glass aquarium beads knowing I want to use them in a flat tray, but I’m now gonna stuff a scull too! Keep it up mate!
Like the blue one. ❤ think I would use maybe 2-3 different marbles for color maybe red orange together or like blue green yellow. Fun to think about 👍🏼👍🏼
I love the glass drops one best, the slightly darker colour scheme is my cuppa tea for sure. The marble one is nice, could see it being a super pretty project with dichroic glass as well! Amazing!! 💜🌈✨
The first time I ever saw marbles in resin was in an old vintage craftbook from the 60's or 70's. He used a latex kitchen glove and suspended marbles floating throughout. Somehow he did shape the fingers and such as if the glove was fixing to pick up something. It was then used as a tabletop piece. Simply amazing! I really liked the two skulls you made as well. Very nice.
Not sure if its a members only thing. But would you be willing do maybe a yearly video of your top selling ideas? I mean im sure majority of everything youve made sells extremely well
I bought a tall clear container to store my rulers in. It was a little taller than I needed, plus it was top-heavy, so I put some blue flat marbles in the bottom and poured an inch or so of resin over them. The added weight keeps the container from tipping over and it looks really nice. 👍
Absolutely love them both definitely something id like to add to my list of hobbies so quick and easy ive just a a very very much needed tidy of my sewing room and found a rather large qantity of the flat ish beads in reds and aroroa borialis shades
I use marbles all the time in my projects! But I mostly use the glass "flat" florist marbles, along with alcohol inks, and I L💕VE the effects I get every time!!! When making teardrop resin cabs for pendants, I put just one marble (colored are best) in the resin cavity and fill with resin. The effect, is stunning!!
I did this with one of my skull molds last summer. It came out really well. Many seemed to like it. I also did one filled with BB gun pellets. It’s neat too but very heavy. Wish RUclips let us post pics in comments
I love both of these. I have been trying to place woven Boy Scout patches in resin coasters. They always appear darker than prior to resin. The best result was to spray with clear acrylic finish prior to resin. Any suggestions? My husband wants to give them as gifts.
Just discovered your marvellous videos I love the the way you teach your craft and find them very inspirational. Keep up the good work thank you..........
This is a great idea. I like both of them, but the dark blue does prevent a lot of light. Maybe lighter colours would help but I think it’s stunning just the same. 😊
Both amazing but I think I prefer the glass nuggets over the marbles. I have been making some skulls using the acrylic fake ice cubes/stones and with some glitter or holographic flakes it really catches the light. Thank you as always ❤ xx
I recently made two skulls with hard plastic glow in the dark duckies. In one I mixed in some frosted marbles to give the duckies space between and they both came out lovely! I made a LOT of skulls LOL Roses I've dried, plastic flowers, crystals, even made a skull of skull beads! :D Fastest selling skull I've made tho is a rainbow colored mylar flakes - that is, each color in order layered into the skull. Hmmm need to make more of those! :D
@BlackSheepCrafter Hmmm.... only thing I can think of is for you to click on my name. I'm about to go out of town for a few days, but I will try to make a compilation video of all the skulls I've made when I return. Will try to get it up this weekend. Hopefully I can find the pics! lol
It sounds great :) can I ask you where can you sell this kind of things? I'm not working with resin, but I'm under impression that these days people don't like to invest in beautiful things. Thank you!
Hiya Steve, new to your channel. How fun! Just a thought, when dusting of your marbles, try using a swiffer sheet instead of baby wipes. Will do an even better job. Look forward to poking around your library! Much love from a fellow artist!!!
The clear one looks nice unlit, as a standalone sculpture. It's a lot easier to see the individual marbles inside. In the second one, the dark blue disks settled to the top, and some went to the back. This allowed the lighter colored ones to allow more light around the eye sockets. This gives it more contrast and detail, when lit. It makes a better lighted presentation overall.
The first time i saw someone making stuff out of resin was my granddaughter in law. She made me a little box with dried flowers in it. Before it set a fly landed in it and sunk into the resin. She gave it to me and appologized about the fly. Every time i picked it up i saw the fly and it made me queasy
I like the glass drops one. I'm sure it's not quite as nice in person, but I so do have a fondness for those little glass beads. I've never seen them in anything and been disappointed
I won't watch any channel that uses epoxy resin without PPE! Thank you! I'd like to see a pour with yarn. And maybe something with baby clothes (newborn) that could be a keepsake to hang on the wall.
It would be fun to use the skeleton molds and do even more of a Halloween theme. You could have a black rose little ants barbed wire miscellaneous bones... What a wonderful little mold. Thank you!

You're so sweet! Thank you so much for your kind, beautiful words! ❤❤❤❤
@@shilaguyette4777 You're welcome. Take good care of yourself. Hugs!
I lost my marbles Steve, so glad you found a use for them 😂😅
The flat marbles with the glowing eyes is so cool.
They both look great!
A mix of both and a little sprinkle of glitter and/or tiny stars would make me hand over my money!
Thanks!

Beautiful but even more spectacular with the lights!

Those came out so cool! I think my fave is the one with the stones. One of my favorite colors is blue, so that is kind of an influence.
I don't have skull molds, but I purchased marbles last month to put in a whale mold. Cool.
I love these!! Great idea! The glad showed up better, but probably just the flash. Thanks!!
Wow... I had my doubts but I am digging it!!!
I like the one with the marbles better, but both are really cool looking!
Both are really lovely.

I've seen videos where people pour cement into latex gloves and form them to hold a candle or small flowerpot. It's pretty cool.
@@lisagd22 That definitely sounds neat too especially the flower pot. 😀🌻
You are so crafty!!! Love love love all the great ideas you send our way!!!❤️❤️
Love the marbles thanks for sharing keep well and stay safe 😊

What an awesome idea. I have a bucket of marbles and now have a new project. Thank you from a New Zealand fan of your videos.
Those were both pretty when lighted. My friend would love them!

If you have a dishwasher you can run the stones and marbles through the dishwasher by placing them in a mesh bag. Also works a treat for cleaning LEGO
I collect marbles and this would be such a cool way to display some of my more common ones! Very cool.
I love the flat glass beads. Wow so pretty. ❤❤
Can’t decide Steve , I think I love them both, great video 😊
Just discovered your marvellous videos I love the the way you teach your craft and find them very inspirational. Keep up the

I made a gaming table 3 years ago using marbles. it turned out awesome!

How much resin per layer did you use, using the mylar please 🙏
Absolutely love this! My fav is the flat marble one, though.
They look incredible.🤩
Brilliant video.
Thank you.
Cheers!
They both look good. It depends on where each would be placed, but I like them and really enjoyed your process video.

I just got the kit you use in all your resin videos. And some of teexpert crystal clear resin. Looking forward to trying it all out.
Love that idea.
❤Thank you for sharing 😊
Amazing!! Love the glass pebbles 😍 xx
Interesting! I would like to see another video using these glass items in different types of molds.
Coming soon.
That's really neat looking
LOVE THOSE!! Especially the marbles ❤❤❤❤
So cool👍🏻
Love.. the ideas ,thankyou👍🏻
Very cool, you're always up to something fun!
Thanks I love the marbles, I’ll give it a try 😊
I love them both.
Definately like the glass vase bead skull the best, those dark rich colors are my favorite so easy favorite for me.

They are absolutely gorgeous 🥰
The clear one, with all those colored marbles, is the best one!
I really like these. I like the blue/green the best.
I prefer the blue one with the glass drops - love it!
Those came out fantastic. Great job
Love your videos. Can’t find the big measuring cups you show anywhere on your links though😢please help

Amber is treasured more when there are insects trapped in it, and it is resin.
Haha
Very nice, fun project, super easy with a fantastic result. I just found you and immediately subscribed. You brightened my day. thank you!
I’m going to try this!
I like the glass drops one. I'm sure it's not quite as nice in person, but I so do have a fondness for those little glass beads. I've never seen them in anything and been disappointed
They both look very nice 👌 ❤
Lovely! I'd love to see this with Swarovski crystal beads, both clear and AB coated ❤
Great work. Well done 👍
Dear Sir, I have messaged you on FB. It’s a special project, very special. Thank you 😊
both are amazing but LOVE the marbles!
Love the marble one ❤
I like both of them.
I like both 👍
Thank you
Using a vibrator pad will help get the resin in all nooks and crannies. I found a foot massager at a jumble market. Works great.
Gorgeous😍
I won't watch any channel that uses epoxy resin without PPE! Thank you! I'd like to see a pour with yarn. And maybe something with baby clothes (newborn) that could be a keepsake to hang on the wall.
Ive been planning on doing both of these. I was just waiting for my large mixing bowl. Perfect timing with this video. Thank you so much for the tips.
Spooky, glad I could help
Those look awesome 👍👍👍
They both look great and look good with light. I think I prefer the rock one from the other video.
Those look awesome. I would get one.
I did a pyramid with the marbles and I absolutely love it. It's become my bedside lamp
marbles are amazing!!!
Beautiful
I love them both. How would you adhere them to the base
Awesome!
Thanks.
Those are fantastic ❤
Fabulous effect!
My preference is the dark one, but I do like them both!
Awesome Beautiful ❤
I love them both! Where do you buy the molds? And the lamp bases?
It would be fun to use the skeleton molds and do even more of a Halloween theme. You could have a black rose little ants barbed wire miscellaneous bones... What a wonderful little mold. Thank you!
