  • These are all of the coasters I made before I figured out that NoLimits 2 had in game recording! I thought it would be nice to make some better POVs of them and put them in a little compilation to celebrate 4 years since posting my first POV on this channel :)
    0:00 First coaster (still smoother than any RCCA)
    0:28 Second coaster (aka "The Lift Hill")
    1:12 Wild Fire (ahh some good ol' heart-lining)
    1:54 Forest Cyclone (actually kinda fun)
    2:48 Blue Bullet (*snap*)
    3:39 Ridge Runner (biiiiiig drop + snap pt. 2)
    4:30 Lava Monster (requires night vision goggles)
    To anyone who is just starting out with NoLimits 2:
    If you are feeling pessimistic about your progress, I hope that this will show you that we all start somewhere! At first it was hard for me to imagine that I'd be able to get even close to what I saw many others were creating. However, after watching some tutorials and practicing, and it took a LOT of practice (while I haven't made that many coasters, I've worked obsessively for hours and hours on each of them, heck on my first coaster it took me 3 hours just to do that little twisted drop), I think I can finally say that I've gotten pretty comfortable with the program. While it's a pretty steep learning curve, it is one that is incredibly satisfying to climb. Personally, it is has easily been worth all the time and effort I've spent fiddling with those pesky little track and roll nodes, and I hope that you will find it to be too!
    Other notes:
    -The motion blur hides a bit of the jank. They are even jankier than they look in the POVs.
    -Useful hand building tutorial: • NL2- How to make FVD Q...
    -Red arrow woooooo!
    -I actually had started to make a coaster before the first coaster shown here. However, after way too much time of trying to make an Immelmann after the first drop, I decided that I should have started with something more simple and proceeded to delete it and make the wooden coaster.
    -Made my first thing in photoshop :D
    - This is a redo of the 2nd coaster layout: • Stargazer | NoLimits 2...

      He did that because it gives a little boost and it keeps it from falling backwards

    You should refurbish all of them because the concepts are actually really good.

      Aw thanks, but I think I want to just leave them as they are and continue making new things so I can really see how far I've come (both in terms of NL2 technical skills and layouts). However, I don't know if you looked in the description, but I actually redid the second coaster in the video (with some slight modifications): ruclips.net/video/Us52t0CEbsQ/видео.html

    The CHAIN LIFT 💀

    • @jacksongrace
      @jacksongrace  Год назад +5

      I only noticed it right when I finished the coaster. Since chain lifts slow the coaster down, this made it going WAY too fast near end and so I just left it lol

    how did you make the station area on lava monster with all the rocks? i have been trying to spice my coasters up with trees and rocks but i can never figure out how to place that many in a way like that.

    • @jacksongrace
      @jacksongrace  Год назад

      For the trees, I just placed a bunch of trees (lower quality preferably) in a certain confined area. Then I selected the whole area where trees are by clicking and dragging, then hit ctrl+C, and use "click paste."
      I also did a similar thing with the rocks. I first made an area of rocks close together with "lock on ground" set to off for all of them, then I moved them into place and used the rotation tool when needed.
      However, when I made this one, I didn't think of how useful scaling would be. It probably would have saved a ton on time and lag by scaling up the rocks first (this is in the settings of each of the rock objects) and then placing them in. This would get a very similar effect in the end.

      @@Goliath146 They were just little starter coasters to get used to the program. Well I guess all of these were, but especially for those two. I had no idea how to do supporting, scenery, terrain texturing, or anything that had to do with aesthetical things. I just wanted to try out the track building part of it at first. However, I dug deeper with all of that in my third coaster. I also then tried making a POV of the third one and uploading that to RUclips (this was before I realized that there was in-game recording/rendering, so it's choppy to say the least)
