@@YoelAndMari Thank you Mari for bringing Yoel to America and showing him just a very small part of what we have in this beautiful country! Would be great to rent an RV and travel all over. Has he been to Miami yet?
My grandparents originally immigrated here from Guatemala and both my dad and I were born and raised in Washington D.C. and when I was a kid, my grandfather would take me either to the Museums, The National Zoo or the Baltimore Aquarium at least once a month. We would spend entire Saturdays at places like Home Depot and Bass Pro Shop just because he liked to window shop. Meanwhile, I'd be bored to tears because I'd seen the same dinosaur fossils or space crafts a million times already, but he never got tired of seeing the same exhibits over and over, and he made it a priority to force me to go with him every time and to always bring a notebook and pen. This is truly one of the most humbling channels on RUclips.
I can relate, being in Baltimore. My dad grew up really poor from north Jersey. His grandparents were immigrants so his parents grew up poor and didn't have money to raise my dad and his siblings with. My dad was the first to not struggle. When we moved to Baltimore he would spend all day at each museum because he would stop and read every. single. information. plaque. He would get lost because we would keep going and he would be back reading a sign. I think we went to Air and Space every summer.
@@catgirl6803 The one thing I really took for granted was the fact that these places were free for the most part. For years I had no idea people normally have to pay to go to a museum or the zoo.

Such love, gratitude, and even sadness that his own country, Cuba, does not let its people enjoy these simple pleasures. It is such a joy to see Yoel's reaction to the things we take for granted. I don't know how many times I've been to the aquarium over the course of my life, but it's just something that you can do on occasion in this country. Thank you so much for sharing this priceless perspective. I wish everyone could see the absolute joy Yoel has in experiencing what so many take for granted.
We're members at Monterey Bay Aquarium but whenever we travel we love hitting local aquariums - a lot of them are really quite good and have local animals. So if you go to the southwest US or Ireland or Hawaii or Maine you'll get all kinds of different stuff.
To see an Aquarium for the first time in America must have been a very different experience. Our's are typically clean, large and beautiful. The fish and wildlife are well taken care of and healthy and a delight to watch. I'm so happy Yoel get's this experience. I wish him the very best in all things.
I LOVE seeing everything from Yoel's perspective. It makes me think about the great experiences that I've seen, heard and witnessed in my life so and how I can go almost any day of the year to museums, aquariums, movies etc. But for Yoel, all of these experiences, places and foods are brand new. 🥺🥺🥺🥺
We, as native born Americans, have so very much to be grateful for. Too many today take this nation’s blessings for granted, and abuse our God given freedoms; and then there are those that wish to restrict or remove those freedoms through their socialist/communist ideology, and are bent on bringing our country under the yoke of tyranny the likes of which Yoel has lived under his entire life. Yoel is a constant reminder, to those that pay attention, of what it is like to live under the thumb of an oppressive socialist government. God bless you Yoel and Mari, and thank you for all of the uplifting videos. KEEP EM COMING ! 👍😎👍

That was so much fun just to watch Yoel. I agree that he needs "WOW!" tattooed on him. Lol. Great surprise, Mari. Well done. In Corpus Christi, we have the Texas State Aquarium. No seals or penguins, but we have dolphins & the show can be seen from topside or in AC in an underground viewing room from under the water. The Wild Flight Theater is amazing, too. My son has realized as an adult now how much he took for granted having this in our back yard along with North Padre Island, etc. We're about to get another Annual Membership. It's so worth it. His sweetheart has lived here her entire life, but never been and it blows his mind (and mine, too).

It is such a joy to see Yoel's reaction to the things we take for granted. I don't know how many times I've been to the aquarium over the course of my life, but it's just something that you can do on occasion in this country. You can decide to go to the aquarium or the zoo, and in a lot of places they are one in the same together.
We need to be reminded that much of the world is not so fortunate.
You two are absolute gems. Yoel's reactions: priceless & I'm thrilled you've decided to share these moments. I genuinely hope these videos inspire all who view to be a blessing in someone's day. Doesn't take much to give a person a reason to smile when they may be struggling to do so. Best wishes to all 🥰
See the joy in his face is what I needed to see to start my day. Love from a Latina in Australia
I love his reaction it allows you to be more thankful and enjoy life even more.
OH MY Yoel everything is so new and exciting for him. I have got to start using "My Yoel Eyes" more.
Jeje THABK you!
@@YoelAndMari.....long live our queen
Yoel's message at the end really helped me appreciate how I grew up. Thank you.
I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
I love to see your husband's reaction to experiencing new things in America. It makes me feel very thankful that I live here. He's joyful and happy to get the experience but I see sadness that it's not like this in Cuba. Thank you for sharing your story with us. 🇺🇸
As always a great video and an even greater message!
Great job Mari! This is my favorite video so far! May God bless you both. I pray you guys continue to shine a light in a world that desperately needs it. ❤
Oh wow thank you!!
Thank you so much for allowing us to see everything brand new in thru husband's eyes 💙 he is so sweet and appreciative 💗 God bless both of you💙🙏 you can tell he has a gentle soul💙
This was absolutely beautiful. I loved his excitement and love of the aquarium - it made my heart happy
It is so amazing to see Yoels reactions. I am so glad he can experience all that stuff.
I only been to a aquarium once when I was a kid I had a lot of fun exploring and looking at other different sea animals and other's animals it's really beautiful I'm glad that you guy's are experiencing this 😇
I am an American dating a Cuban and these videos really hit hard cause we never really know how free we are until someone puts it into perspective
I love seeing the world, this country, through his eyes. I hope his family can join him here someday. Thank you Yoli for the reminds to appreciate what we have here. Its not all wonderful all the time, and us Americans aren't perfect, but most of us try, and we can't take things or each other, for granted.
You continue to teach Americans how special our country is and the many opportunities available to us. As Thanksgiving approaches, your videos remind me the depth of gratitude we should have, every day. Continued blessings from God as you experience the riches given to us. You both are a special gift ❤.
You can tell alot about a country by how they take care of animals, the elderly and the young. God Bless America. We may have our faults but we r truly the best place on the face of this planet. I am once again in tears seeing yoel react.
Seeing through his eyes and seeing how excited he was , brought me back too the 1st time I went .
I sure loved watching this!! It's always heart-warming to see how excited Yoel gets at all these beautiful places here. Keep on having fun and thank you!!
I need your content, makes me happy to watch Yoel enjoy the things we take for granted, God bless you two
Thank you so much for sharing this priceless perspective. I wish everyone could see the absolute joy Yoel has in experiencing what so many take for granted.
Watching these videos makes me so much more appreciative of what I have. I wish we could send Yoel and Mari families some things.
Yoel's English is super!!! How wonderful you must feel Mari, showing him what 🇺🇲 has to offer! !Bienvenido Yoel!
Too many today take this nation’s blessings for granted, and abuse our
God given freedoms; and then there are those that wish to restrict or remove those freedoms through their
socialist/communist ideology, and are bent on bringing our country under the yoke of tyranny the likes of which
Yoel has lived under his entire life.
Yoel is a constant reminder, to those that pay attention, of what it is like to live under the thumb of an oppressive
socialist government.
God bless you Yoel and Mari, and thank you for all of the uplifting videos.
KEEP EM COMING ! 👍😎👍
Yoel would absolutely love Cypress Gardens. The blackwater swamps in South Carolina are beautiful.
U r awesome girl to let ur hubby experience all that the States has to offer. U can really see the JOIY and SADNESS on his face in each video and it truly is AMAZING to see the changes he goes thru. I feel his pain though, i truly do……
U made a beautiful couple
Be well
Hugs everyone
You and Yoel are amazing and I am so happy you both are here in the U.S. The enthusiasm and joy that shines so brightly on both your faces at the things and opportunities so many people take for granted is infectious and always brings a smile to my face. I am so very very proud of the love y'all have for this nation. You presence here adds honor to us all. Thank you for that. Much love and wishes that your dreams you once thought impossible are realized... from this crazy old cat lady from Texas.
thanks
I like watching him in awe, never selfish. Always thinking and hoping he has the same thing from his birth country
the way he responded to the aquarium at Bass Pro shop you knew he was going to enjoy a full aquarium
Seeing all these things through Yoel's eyes is magical
Thank you for always sharing, I love all your videos. I love Yoel’s reactions and appreciation of what we have in this beautiful country and what so many born here take for granted. ♥️
Oh my gosh Mari you need to take him fishing and crabbing and to a theme park to :). So fun to watch thanks for inviting me into your journey!!!!
I'm so glad for these videos and for all the people who have immigrated to our country. They show such an appreciation for all the things the rest of us take for granted. To see the wonder and gratefulness through their eyes makes me realize that there is so much I need to be thankful for. MAHALO!!! God Bless and Good Fortune to you both
This was great watching how Yoel gets excited. He was like a little kid. Yoel, Mari I wish you many blessings 🙏🏽
great choice! I love the Aquarium even as an adult I still enjoy going. Actually I went last year to the one in Georgia. It's consider the largest in the USA. It was so much fun. I am so glad you guys had a nice time.
I love watching you two. Yoel am so happy for you and Mari that you are able to be here. I can not imagine the journey you two took to be here but am so happy that you are in the USA. Please keep these videos up. I love them enjoy your freedom and all the new adventures you will having with your wife and life partner. Sending love from California.
Love always to see his reaction with everything, remind me of me when I came from Cuba 40 years ago....
I appreciate all the firsts you both share with us.
Gracias!
