- Sky News host Rita Panahi slams a “pathetic” women’s basketball coach over her “coward” response when asked about trans inclusion in women’s sports.
Dawn Staley, the head coach of the University of South Carolina women's basketball team, was asked about the inclusion of transgender athletes in women’s sports.
"I am under the opinion [that] if you are a woman, you should play. If you consider yourself a woman and you want to play sports or vice versa, you should be able to play,” Staley said.
Ms Panahi criticised the coach for being a “reality denier” as she threw female athletes “under the bus”.
“Women cannot compete against men and to pretend otherwise is to deny reality,” she said.
“Men are stronger, faster, bigger and its unfair on female athletes to ask them to compete against male bodies.”
Can we please stop trying to erase women from women's sports. Give trans athletes their own divisions and let's get on with life.

She picked protecting herself because within female team sports with its high representation of LGBT players the majority position is trans woman should play because female team sports isn't about winning its about feelings and activism ( as we seen at the womans world Cup with the Spanish kiss fiasco).

I've noticed that the ones who are most supportive of "trans women" playing on women's sports teams are the ones who HAVE such a player and they are CRUSHING their opposition. News media journalists always trying to get a feature story by asking "Gotcha Questions" and then attacking the answer! It's really a no-win situation because no matter her response, people will take offense. Sometimes it's better to stop the reporters in their tracks and say, "I have no comment or opinion on this topic for public discussion". That way, hopefully, words and media spins on the story are at a minimum.

A prime example of this is rachel Nichols from espn a few years back. She was basically the reporter for the NBA and was all good with the players and she was woke as can be. She got replaced by some black lady and instantly went on a rant. Which basically says they are all for the agenda so it sounds good, up until they get chewed up and spit out by someone higher up in the food chain.

I'm a life-long Carolina fan and I can't believe her answer to an easy question. Let me help you Dawn. Answer: It's quite proper to show empathy for a young person who may be going through gender identity issues. Allowing that person to play on a WOMEN'S basketball team is not going to help him deal with those issues. Next question.
