I’m an Iowa fan, and I totally agree with Staley about schools investing in women’s sports. Iowa has done that like crazy and it’s one of the reasons fans have been so great. The school promotes the ladies’ teams and invests in them.
That is high HIGH praise for Caitlin coming from a legend like Dawn.

Stewart won those 4 titles because she was surrounded by 18 future WNBA players. Caitlin was surrounded by 1, who probably won't make a team, and she lost to 2 different teams in both title games who are loaded with players going to the WNBA. Goats are individuals, and championships are won by teams. Caitlin carried her team, and those other so-called goats could have an off night and still win titles because they were surrounded by future pros

She started her coaching career with Temple while she still was playing in the WNBA
She left Temple for the money support of SEC / SC.
Caitlyn Clark isn’t going to change the game Dawn Staley has and will change the perception towards women’s sports 🎉
Caitlin brought in millions of new fans, including me, so she has already changed the game. Hundreds of girls are gonna start working on shooting farther from the basket. Every game she plays in is sold out. Everyone knows she changed the game.
