    ❤ The Lake there is beautiful. I would love to live on a mountain though. My wife and I want to visit the Smokey mountains in Newport Tennessee. We live in Sacramento, California, but it’s flat and getting crowded. I’m here because I teach piano in Roseville, California. I’m going to be there a couple more years.

    I wouldn't build a deck larger than you could move. I saw a man build a ramp in 4/5 feet sections that hooked together so he could move it with his home. That was awesome.

      Most people here aren’t planning on moving anytime soon. But for someone who plans on moving around with their tiny home, that’s a smart idea

      @@gotinybefree I wouldn't plan on moving either if I found a place, but someone else we know will kick people out to make key money again on the same lot. Just saying.

    Been watching since the beginning and it's so cool to see it coming to fruition. I'm not sure about using that wide lense inside the home, it seems to distort the images. They have that sort of faux wall treatment that can be painted... Might be easier than actual ship lap.

    • @gotinybefree
      @gotinybefree  2 дня назад

      Yes it does distort some, but hard to get back far enough to show it all otherwise

    Hey Jim,
    Maybe later on...
    Think about removing the second tiny homes counter & sink.
    Giving it a more open concept...
    For a sitting, reading, extra sleeping, Office, or a long closet.
    You can always buy those pre-built corner built in counters with cabinet underneath for a coffee station from Lowes @ $139.00, you paint & stain.
    OR just configure coffee station in with the actual kitchen in first home... build cabinets above kitchen the full length even portion over top half of window they make an accordian style lever in cabinets that pull out & down to place microwave -oven you have on counter, use that area for coffee station.
    Living area: remove bathroom make that a pantry & washer/dryer area, doors at Lowes frosted glass has PANTRY etched in it.
    I think an L shaped sleeper couch would be more synthetically pleasing & more overall comfort.
    Cut those windows in living room to wrap around as one window, opening to serve outside & for more air flow.❤
    I actually like the enclosed Tall privacy fence around deck, I mean who wouldn't!?? ❤
    Who wants to look over at your neighbors neck!! (As close as they are)😊

    Sorry but Jim’s place looks like Fort Knox, I understand privacy but it looks terrible , wait until all the owners does this it’s going to look like the Grove

      To each his own. And surprisingly, no one has opted to put in a privacy fence. But everyone loves a deck. Personally, I think having that private space like they have between their home and the fence is awesome! 8ft wide and very private with a lake view. It’s pretty neat!

  • @michelb.8953

    The homes in the back look like a tiny home community, but the ones at the front entrance look like a trailer park. It looks nothing like the model pictures you show on your website. When this place gets finished, it is still not going to look anything like the pictures you show...which is false advertising. And, having a home parked where the front entrance fence splits their home and entry to their deck is an eye sore. The front entry should look nice, but it looks worse than all of it.

    • @wandadavis8209
      @wandadavis8209 Месяц назад +3

      Agreed. I was there on site last month.....sooo much different from the rendering he proposed in the beginning. Those homes in front....are right up front near a hwy. The whole place is so much smaller in reality than the rendering. Personally...I'd never live there.

    • @gotinybefree
      @gotinybefree  Месяц назад +3

      Whoa, lol, this is a work in progress. We are maybe 1/3 of the way complete with this development, still a long way to go. The final product will look vastly different than it does today. Also, the renderings were simply illustrated ideas to help people see what we were wanting to create, not a 100% replica of the final product. The property was covered in trees and brush when we publicized those renderings. And in this video I stated that we improved upon the renderings by removing the access road and parking next to the homes in the front. There’s still landscaping to go in, another fence, containers… the point of this video is to show the progress of where we started to how far we have come. Before you cast judgement, maybe wait until the project is finished. Just sayin…

    Jim house with that fence right next door, that person is looking at his fence so high,I would not be happy, the pond was going to have cottages all around pond, Jim only wants to advertise for his place,taking over too much ,not looking as good as first shown,

      Jim is one of the owners of a tiny home in this community, who is happy to share on camera his journey in this process and is a fan favorite. I’m happy to help him promote his tiny home for short term rental as I’m happy to help promote the other tiny home airbnbs when they’re ready for me to (I can’t wait to!). I would put every resident here on RUclips to share their tiny home journey if I could, but most do not want to, and I’m perfectly fine with that as well. Stay tuned, you’ll be hearing and seeing many more perspectives and stories about tiny homes and The Cottages at Pine Lake!

      @rowenah3723 ARE you really saying you'd be ok with someone looking right at your every move instead without the privacy fence. (That's what it's called a "PRIVACY FENCE") as Hans stated & Jim in this video people are all adding big decks, "deck wars" & I'm sure Hans will video those people If they want but as a rule most people want PRIVACY...

    Yuk....wouldn't want a shared hot tub😢😮😮
    Health reasons alone...
    Let them buy there own inexpensive hot tub from igloo & other brands to put by the tinies...

    • @gotinybefree
      @gotinybefree  Месяц назад +1

      I think a private hot tub is more appealing as well, but I think many people are intimidated by the upkeep and maintenance of a hot tub or plainly just don’t want to deal with it

    • @streetsmartintelligent

      You still have to pay $15,000 key money here for phase II, and the lot rent is around $300 or $400 a month. It's all on their website.
