I would grind a brisket as part of a mixed-cut burger, but the additions are total bullshit. Leave it to a wealthy Italian-American girl to make a meatball recipe and call it "a burger". You suck, Alex.
Nola Anderson keep in mind she’s an iron chef. Don’t think someone can “suck” at cooking if they manage to add that to their resume. I agree that this is more of a meat loaf, but you can’t say she outright sucks.
Look at all the expert chefs in the comments with their own cooking programs..... really I wouldn’t add those things to my burger, but its different, and I bet it’s delicious.

Watching her making the burgers look so easy! Thanks for sharing that recipe and now I know the exact way to cook such an excellent burger! Can we also use another part of beef? Like chuck? Or the fat? Im also still learning here, inspired by watching videos from you :)
I've been to her restaurant butter several times, she serves her burgers with homemade fries and some additions of potatoe skins mixed in, and a side of a white cheese sauce.
I like the purity of a good blend of good quality beef and veal with salt and maybe pepper, seared on smoking hot cast iron to medium rare, topped with cheese, between a toasted burger bun, THE END. I disagree however ,with many comments that this isn't a burger bc of the additions. There can be several ways to make one thing. This looks great too. If it tastes great, who cares wether you call it a burger or a meatloaf sandwich?
I like that she used "brisket" for the burger but that's about it! I would have added an egg with the other ingredients. I also would not have carmelized the vegetable paste (the caramelization comes from when you cook it). I would have added some other seasonings like turmeric to the ground brisket.
Yes and no being it's only an egg inside the mixture instead of an added flavor of texture. Ingredients are flavors that measure from amount to specific taste.@@oliverhernandez5806
David Jacobs lol then you should reply with this to almost every other comment on this vid then. Because so many are going off about this. Have fun, comment police.
Alex looking super sexy in this episode. But I dunno about adding those veggies to the patty. I've seen that same mix added into marinara sauce, so I assume that's why she's doing it. And definitely NO breadcrumbs! It's not a meatball. C'mon, Alex. I'm a purist and ONLY want beef in my patty. Most of the time I don't even want cheese on my burger.
Every time I hear some idiot "chef" talk about "burgers" less than well done... I cringe!! I remember many years ago in California, at a "Jack In The Box" fast food joint... a little boy was there with his family and the sandwich given to him was not well done... He got sick and died from eating that sandwich... that one time!! Steaks or chops or roasts are different, most if the time, because the bacteria is on the "outside" of the meat... the direct heat will kill it!! But ground meat, beef, pork, lamb, chicken or goat... etc, what was on the outside... is now on the inside... a perfect environment for bacteria to thrive... and if you think I'm over reacting... just ask the family if that little boy!!
Wrong cut of beef, probably stringy as hell... What the hell are all those vegetables, mayo and breadcrumbs doing there??? Just good meat and salt please and thank you.
Don’t you hated when these TV chef should really keep there ambition to themselves and if your going to make a non traditional or even a non burger, please state that this is your twist on your way of making a burger. I’m tired and disappointed that your trying to change a narrative of something so classic so American and then you claimed and label this to be a burger? Please put a warning that it’s not a huger but your ubiquitous utopian version of a burger do to being a celebrity TV chef, y’all (tv elite chefs) make fun of Guy Fieri but I see your in the same league as hypocrisy! Americans and food network should be ashamed for no warnings to this being not a burger but showing it to be a burger!
Mr.Armenian medium rare burgers are illegal in Canada due to food safety.. but hey, its no surprise they’re legal in the US, they do health care so well there, as we can see from the news coverage.
Looks really good but I don't consider that a hamburger. More like a large meatball.
Speaking of large meatballs ⬆️ 😁.

This is not a Cheeseburger but rather Grilled Meatloaf with Cheese. I love brisket but grinding it up into hamburger to me is a sin.

it’s definitely something
Omg , chef Alex is easily my fav chef in the world
Looks really yummy Alex can't wait to try. Thanks for the recipe 😋

Right? Everyone suddenly turns into a Michelin star chef when they're in the comment section of cooking videos. It's laughably pathetic honestly.
@Todd Brill didn't say that, pretty stupid assumption. 🇺🇸 Sorry couldn't help spreading the love back. Have a great day.

Already I've decided on a cheeseburger for lunch today. Because cheese burger is always right.

@@ChefKingFresh I think it's good idea!
I miss your show Alex.
Your a fabulous Chef~
Why are ya'll complaint about how she makes her burgers yes it's different but it's nothing to complain about
That’s what I said
St Jude is the best. Thank you for everything you do every day
Ugh, looks so good. Veggies are a good idea to keep it from drying out. Bet they would be even better on a charcoal grill.
Thanks for this video
Why did they autotune her voice at 0:21 though 😂
Lmao didn't even notice that at first!

Meatloaf sandwich minus the ketchup.
Big fan of alex

I know what she is going for a mirepoix. However....NOT for burgers.
This is HER recipe. Everyone is different
I've been to her restaurant butter several times, she serves her burgers with homemade fries and some additions of potatoe skins mixed in, and a side of a white cheese sauce.
Yum!! Looks fabulous
Not saying this wouldn't taste good but who in God's name would put carrots & celery into a cheeseburger???
Idk, not me 😭
Really funky recipe. Probably really delicious but really out there. Did she put the vegetable paste directly INTO the burger?
It looks great but it's an egg away from being a meatloaf sandwich. Plus it looked overworked before it was made into a patty.
Fantastic recipie
You are the best out of them all! Love to watch you cook

There is a video here with someone that knows how to make them

it's not your taste, so it's not right? Careful not to choke on that ego of yours Kevin

you would have changed it from a meatloaf to a spiced meatloaf and also called it a burger

Could u use ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef with a little bit of cooled melted butter for the fat?

Mr.Armenian that’s cool and all, but that ain’t no burger.

Are those meatloaf burgers? Or are they just toting that meatloaf line, since there's no egg🤔
This goes against everything we are told and taught about making burgers. This offends me. Lol
Bobby Flay would call that a meat loaf. LOL!
This looks good, I’m going to make something like this on my channel
Filipino Style
That looks so damn good.
2:21 hehe yeah boi
Meatloaf sandwich
Shouldn't season ground beef that early. Changes the texture. Kenji would not approve.
Agradeceria mucho pudieran ayudarme con mi canal !!
She lost me when she pulled out sesame seed buns. Ugh
You can replace the buns with whatever buns or kaiser roll or even slices of bread you want. You don't have to use sesame seed buns
Meatloaf on a bun.

Easier for digestion so I'm not mad at the carrots...but I need american cheese..make this country great again..white american cheese.

Celery in a burger? Nasty. I’m immediately suspicious whenever any of these TV cooks refers to their recipe as the “ultimate.” 🙄
