I went to grade school with Sam Bush. I knew his mother and father who were both talented amateur musicians and his sisters were all good singers. I used to catch the New Grass Revival every time they came into town. Sam is so talented!! Love him.
Got to see Sam & the original New Grass Revival numerous times in the 70s while going to school at WKU in Bowling Green, Ky. Sam grew up nearby. Also saw them at the '83 Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Immense talent, to say the least!
Circles Around Me 😂 Completely Floored! First saw Sammy the Bush at Hillbilly Homecoming in Maryville, TN in 1978 with NGR of course. Thanks for all the wonderful music and soundtrack to the years!
Saw John Harford, NGR, and Gamble Rogers in 1971/1972 at the old Civic Auditorium in Jacksonville, FL Great performances by everyone involved. John Hartford and Gamble Rogers have both passed on but Sam remains and carries the torch beautifully. If you have never heard of Gamble Rogers, look him up. Died in 1991 trying to help a swimmer in trouble at Flagler Beach in St. Augustine FL
